Anyone else here with this position? In what sign?

Do you feel your sense of self (identity, worth, etc.) can be easily shaken or gets projected onto others?

Does part of you feel *incomplete* when not in a relationship?

If you have Sun opposite ASC do you feel like others often perceive you completely differently than you feel is really accurate? Do you think this relates back to how you were *labeled* growing up?

I read this somewhere so just throwing it out there... Did your parents (specifically your dad) make you feel your needs/wants/identity was not important and that instead your life should revolve around them and their needs?

Feel free to talk about other planets in 7th house as well, I have a few planets and NN here (in Cap) but just thought I'd focus on the Sun to make things simpler and wanted to get other people's perspectives on this.. I personally don't at all like my sun being in this house but am learning to deal with it I suppose lol

I'll be brief - most relationships are a minefield.

They blow up in my face, often.

PS
I've never quite worked out what the Ascendant opposite the sun is supposed to mean, i.e. how it affects one's personality.

Haha, I can relate

As for Sun opposite ASC, I think first of all it could mean the image you present of yourself makes it difficult for people to really get to know you because it's very different in some way than what you're really feeling or who you really are.. (Pisces vs Virgo in your case)

And it's the same as Sun conjunct descendant, which could give some Libra qualities to the personality like always compromising to keep the peace, depending on one-on-one relationships, etc...

Do you think your Pisces ASC matches up with the way your parents or others described or "labeled" you growing up?

Just curious because I know not everyone believes that about the ASC, but I'm a Cancer rising and definitely feel like that's the role my parents (mostly my mom lol) wanted me to play instead of acknowledging my Capricorn traits..

Firemoon, if only I had the luxury (or comfort) of knowing who I really am or what I'm really feeling!

Most times, even I don't know I'm really like and I don't expect any one else to know.

It's that damned Pisces ascendant!

However, to answer your question about 'roles', at school I was the flaky, dreamy one who always late, with 'head in clouds' persona to boot.

I turned 38 this year, and over the years (from my late 20s onwards) my Virgo side has been getting into its stride!

Yeah same for me Metid lol

luisbunnuel, haha yes I've felt that way as well at many times, said to be true of sun in 7th...

and meh, it's nothing that great. I get really tired of hearing "you seem so sweet and innocent" ALL the time. My Sagittarius and Aqua planets disagree with that, and my Cap sun is just out the window because people who seem timid and innocent aren't generally taken very seriously lol

i've got sun/merc/mars tightly conjunct in libra in the 7th house. feeling "incomplete" when not in a relationship? not me at ALL.i absolutely love and have never felt more complete being single. I'm even celibate lol.i dont get people who hatee being single, or who feel the need to be in a relationship to be happy.thats just crazy to me. being in a relationship for me, would be more like a bonus or a precious gift from life. not something that would "complete" me O_o

im a pisces rising, and my parents totally did try to force me to play that role. my father especially. and hes a pisces sun too . i wasn't having NONE of that. they actually resented (and still doo) the fact that i always had a strong sense of self identity. which is something they didn't have as children, and STILL don't. my mother is my fathers (and everyone elses) doormat. and my father is his mothers doormat. he cannot function without his mother. every move has to be consulted with her, and she has to approve. i was emotionally neglected by both parents. my fathers needs had to be fulfilled, because he thought he was the king, and we were supposed to be his peasants. my leo moon wasn't having Nooo parts of that lol. though i dont know if the whole deal with parents trying to mold you into their ideal has anything to do with the ascendant. i have chiron in the 5th. and i believe that might be the reason. or maybe my sun square saturn (saturn is in my 10th)

Yes, I have a marked lack of confidence and get self-conscious easily.

Does part of you feel *incomplete* when not in a relationship?

Very much so.

I think I do a pretty good job of fooling people. The other day my boyfriend remarked that I'm very photogenic - I laughed out loud! He doesn't know that for every good shot that there were 10 bad ones that I deleted/destroyed the evidence. I can never relax enough to let anyone see the real me, I never even leave the house without a minimum of makeup on.

I read this somewhere so just throwing it out there... Did your parents (specifically your dad) make you feel your needs/wants/identity was not important and that instead your life should revolve around them and their needs?

No, it was/is my mother who is like this, not my dad.

Feel free to talk about other planets in 7th house as well, I have a few planets and NN here (in Cap) but just thought I'd focus on the Sun to make things simpler and wanted to get other people's perspectives on this.. I also have Mercury, Venus and Jupiter in the 7th house so it's difficult to extract how much is my sun in the 7th and how much is the other placements but I will say that I learn about myself through feedback and banter with other people. Often I will fully entrench an opinion while I'm discussing a topic with somebody, which I'm guessing is Mercury, and having Venus in the 7th just exaggerates the sun in the 7th's need to perpetually be in a relationship. I feel like I don't have an identity on my own. After my last relationship ended, I remember feeling fledgling like, "Who am I if not the rock musician's girlfriend?" I was very relieved when I became someone else's girlfriend, to say the least. Jupiter in the 7th I'm guessing brings fortune to me through partnerships with other people - I've found this to be very much true in my life. I don't know *why* exactly I've been given such placements, it's sort of rough. People judge you sometimes, they don't understand that your purpose on this Earth is partnership with other people. And sometimes I feel like a prisoner of my own vanity.

I'm a 7th house Sun too.

I think this placement is just about learning to own your Sun sign energy and find it within yourself, not in others. Because I used to sort of idealize and emulate people who captured the Leonine energy: confident, creative, dramatic, showy. But, I've had to learn to recognize these traits in myself and just express them from myself.

So, really it's been about finding my center. And seeing myself through my own eyes and not so excessively through other people's opinions.

i 100% can relate when someone said how you dont know who you are because you project yourself onto others...if someone acts mean towards me i think im a horrible person..if someone acts like they love to be aroun me then ifeel like the most confident best person ever...its hell actually lol its really half an half though more when im feeling insecure about myself...when i feel strong im confident and know myself as a woman...but for some reason i still get that fleeting sense of self!!!! w tee fffffff

No. My sense of self is pretty damn strong but I think it's because of the sign my sun is in and my ascendant. Typically bestows a really strong sense of who you are and your worth, I think.

Being confused about your sense of self your identity and boundaries in the sense of what is you and what is someone else sounds more like a 12th/6th house axis thing to me anyway, a Neptunian issue.

Nope. I LIKE being in relationships or interacting with people - alot. I prefer it, but it isn't a *need*.

I'm always being "read" the wrong way like that, but it has nothing to do with my childhood whatsoever. I think strongly Uranian and Neptunian energy is hard for most people to see clearly and make heads or tails of. Astrologically my chart has a very definite Aquarian bent, and Neptune is a singleton which heightens it; numerologically, my entire name boils down to a number associated with Neptune.

quote:

The exact opposite. My mother pretty much laid down her life and devoted it to taking care of us. That's pretty much where all her time thought and energy went. My dad was way less hands-on and I think had that oldschool mindset that parenting was woman's work, so he spent a lot of time in his room that sort of thing, but even he wasn't self-absorbed or putting his needs before ours - in a way he pretty much put his own desires and goals aside to go out and work in order to provide for us, that sort of thing.

And both my parents made it very clear at one point or another, in one WAY or another during the course of my growing up, that I was Important and had a LOT of gifts. They were as far as you can get from self-absorbed and pretty much sacrificed themselves completely to us.

I think seventh house placements and Libra placements are a gift because we get that it's not always "about" us.

I have a 7th house sun. In fact, I have a loaded 7th house with 4 planets in it. One of my main lessons in life is to not feel incomplete when not in a relationship.

And most importantly, it's better to be alone than in a bad relationship. Relationships can make or break you when you have a loaded 7th house. If a relationship is good, it is a tremendous boost. If it is bad, it will literally drag the native down like a boulder.
