Something I noticed from reading Linda Goodman's Sun Signs and some other Astrology works before it became mainstream in the 70s.

In Goodman's Sun Signs, she states that the Libran women is the most beautiful of the Zodiac. Running up as 2nd place is Aquarius women. This seems to be consistent with Astrology books around and before Goodman's time.

Now a days I noticed that Pisces women are considered as the most Gorgeous of the Zodiac by pop Astrology. By Pop Astrology I mean Popular Media's portrayal, Newspaper Horoscopes, and books exclusively on the Sun Signs. Libran women along with Scorpio women are considered the next most beautiful. Aquarius? No longer in mainstream Astrology.Aquarius isn't even contender for a 5th place as most beautiful women according to most Astro-Compatibility sites I visited.

Its not just Pisces women-Pisces men too are seen as the most HANDSOME of the Zodiac Signs and also the most charming in modern mainstream Astrology!! However Goodman's book and prior works seem to disagree, instead implying Scorpio men would be the most handsome and Leo and Libra men would be the most charming.

So it seems there's differences in stereotypes during different time periods for the Zodiac. Unfortunately I already returned Goodman's Sun Signs so I won't be able to make more comparisons.

Today Leos seem to be credited as the bravest. However Goodman states that the courage of Scorpio man is the utmost and unmatchable-from what I remember "the Scorpio man would without thought risk his life to save a fellow soldier. A Scorpio Fireman would venture into the most dangerous of fires to save people"-not exactly in those words but yeah there was a sentence that went something like that. She does state Leo is up there along with Aries however as bravest, so the modern stereotype is not as far-fetched and deviant as others I noticed are.

I am curious though have you noticed any difference from current Pop Astrology stereotypes to Astrology stereotypes in the past?

Actually this is not some much a stereotype-bashing thread and its more of the interesting differences I've found between Astrology in before they making a part of mainstream newspaper and modern pop Astrology as we know it today. I'd thought this would be interesting to discuss !

Also another stereotype that is different from modern mainstream stereotypes and older Astrology that I just suddenly remembered. The portrayal of Aquarius men.

Modern pop-Astrology stereotypes Aquarius men as cold and quiet (if not socially awkward). However Goodman's book states the opposite-the Aquarius man makes friends with everyone. He is not judgmental of you be you a beggar, rich man, or whatever. He is among the friendliest and most social of the signs, and the least judgmental along with Pisces.

Also mainstream Astrology portray Scorpios as Rebels of the Zodiac well in fact Goodman's time and before seem to credit Aquarius as the Rebels of the Zodiac!

as an aqua sun, ascendant , and venus I can say that both stereotypes are partly true for us. I am friendly but I am not a socialite by any means. I'm also viewed as socially awkward and I can come off as being distant and cold.
