For the solar return, what is the implication of having this benefic planet located there?Would it really amplify these 8th house issues a great deal? IP: Logged |

The 8th house relates to other people's resources. I’ve read interps for Jupiter in the 8th as indicating a large inheritance, or settlement of some type. One astrologer mentioned how people with Jupiter in the 7th seem benefit from their partner’s abundance only during a marriage, while Jupiter in the 8th people are more likely to benefit from this abundance, that comes from marriage, even after the loss of the partner… Either through widowhood or divorce. So yeah, the central theme of Jupiter in the 8th is profiting through other people’s rescores somehow… How is Jupiter aspected. If it is badly afflicted perhaps it could also indicate a sizable loss due to another? Although, considering it IS Jupiter we’re talking about I think this is unlikely. It’s just worth keeping in mind all the possibilities.Jupiter in the 8th could also relate to moral issues with regard to other people’s stuff, or sex and intimacy. There could be some deep thinking with regard to proper behavior in these areas in the coming year if this placement of Jupiter features in your return chart. This could foster perhaps a serious interest in doing the right or fair thing by others regarding their ‘stuff’. The 8th house also is about receiving from others and Jupiter represents generosity, and bounty... So I'd keep your heart open to receive all the positive things that others willingly offer to you from the goodness of their own hearts... Not just material things, but also warmth, kindness, time, and knowledge... Jupiter in the 8th can indicate a gift or blessing coming your way from others. IP: Logged |

Oh wow! Sounds exciting. Thank you for the reply I'm not married so I don't think it would indicate widowhood or divorce. Coud it have anything to do with sex though as it is the 8th house? IP: Logged |

I have Jupiter in the 8th for my SR this year too. It's loosely conjunct POF and Vertex and trine Sun. When compared with my natal chart, Jupiter falls in my 7th, trine my Libra stellium. I think it's also interesting to compare a Solar Return to the natal chart to see where things fall and what aspects are made. I too, am trying to figure out how to interpret a SR Jupiter in the 8th, seeing as I'm not partnered and am not likely to receive any kind of inheritance in the literal sense. I've been doing a lot of spiritual work, so I think what Lotis White said about blessings, warmth, and kindness makes sense for me. IP: Logged |

Yes it would be a good idea to look at the natal chart too IP: Logged | |
