I know many Capricorn Mars people. Some of them I'm close friends with. I have a Cap Mars and Moon myself.
For some reason ALL these people have serious issues with germs and illness. I mean they are unusually scared of illnesses and trying to prevent all manner of things from the common cold to STDs and so on - They are very worried about these things and about their health.

They are also extra preoccupied with germs.. Two of them are wary of animals purely due to germs. One of these is a close friend of mine who is a Pisces and she won't touch my dog. She is a very caring person and very much like the positive side of Pisces - and I know that she loves animals... but she has a serious anxiety about germs... Her entire facial expression changes and she panics. She can't simply 'shake it off'.

I find it odd that i don't really have this problem. I am health conscious to a normal degree. I'm not one to eat fast food or binge out.. and I don't drink much or smoke etc..
But I am not worried about these things. It's not on my mind all the time. I feel very trusting of God and the universe. So I'm not all that fearful.
I used to think it's due to my Mars/Neptune conj - but the Pisces girl I just mentioned also has this conjunction .... and she is *still* like this.

My question is - Is this really a Capricorn Mars thing? have you known others who have these issues?
And how could I help them be a little braver?
I'm not sure how to go about it because I don't want them to see me as aggressive or patronising (my Sun is in Aries).

I really do not think it is a capricorn mars thing...I have virgo moon and I am pretty germophobic but I love dogs and if I were to touch one I would just calmly wash my hands afterwards. I do not have mars in cap though.

I agree, it is probably not attributed solely to a Cap Mars.

I see this phobia/germ obsession more with this:

Virgo placements - I have a Virgo Moon, BF has 3 Virgo planets including Mercury. Like asclibrasagsun, I also am slightly germaphobic but not that badly. BF and I both are pretty health-conscious but in different ways. I am very germ-conscious and sometimes nervous about my health/catching illness, and never eat without washing my hands, and use Lysol wipes all the time [Lol... sad!]. He is very health-conscious of other peoples' sicknesses and worries about catching them but isn't as rigid with his food or cleaning things, but does prefer a clean house.

Mercury-Pluto square: I have a family member with this and they have obsessive thinking in general. So about 6 years ago, it became a phobia with the stomach flu, and germs in general. Who knows why. They caught a bad case of it, and it all went intense + downhill from there... that's harsh Merc-Pluto for you. They won't mentally let go of the obsession.

Pluto in the 6th, could possibly make one obsessive compulsive with health and hygiene? Many with ED's who also exhibit OCD and depressive/anxious tendencies have this placement. An anorexia and OCD-anxiety sufferer who is my friend has this. My Moon persona chart, which is the chart of nourishment through not only sensitivity but food and self-care, has Pluto in the 6th, and I'm obsessive with health matters and also had anorexia. Pluto is extremes. When we go to extremes with our Virgoan health tendencies I'm sure things like OCD, ED's etc. will arise.

I'm related to a few Cap Mars people and they're just all workaholics. I don't think they're that big of a germaphobe like Virgo anything.

I have a Capricorn mars in 8th house, Pluto & Uranus in 6th. I'm not a germaphobe per se...just extra cautious. I carry hand sanitizer, wash my hands all the time, etc. I am extremely afraid of STDs though...I get tested every 6 months for everything under the sun. I stay monogamous and insist on my partner being tested as often as me. I live a metropolitan city where STDs are rampant & I've worked in doctor offices, so I have pretty much seen it all.

That's more of a Virgoan trait than a Cappy one.

I have Mars in Capricorn and I am going to agree to disagree with this. It does not fit for me at all!

I would check with other placements and aspects.

Virgo yes, Capricorn no, never.

Pluto yes, Mars no.

A heavy 6th house can sometimes be inclined to hypochondria too.

The Moon seems to be quite important, known a few Virgo moons that were more sensitive than sun sign Virgos [as far as health is concerned].

I'm a hypochondriac , and I have moon in the 6th. I 've got soooo many phobias (and many ridiculous ones too),and it doesn't help that I've got Pluto squaring it.

Hm,

I know a Cap Mars but they are pretty much a Slob. I would not even call them a hypochondriac.

This sounds a lot more like a Virgo Mars I also know, she HATES the outdoors, hates nature, is happy to stay inside the house at all times unless there is work or school, has an irrational fear of insects, cannot stand the possibility of germs.

Yeah... I know normally this is a Virgo trait. That's why I'm so surprised to see it in all these people who are not Virgo-influenced but have a Cap Mars.
Maybe they have other things in common that I've overlooked though.

The STD thing is HUGE. They refuse to have sex for this reason.
Having a Cap Mars myself - I don't have strong sex drive and I'm just not that into most people (on a sexual level) - unless I feel a strong connection with them.
But my reason is not a fear of STDs. I know at least 5 now with this Mars who are terrified of STDs.

I have a Virgo stellium and a Capricorn stellium and I'm not like that. There are some things that gross me out but not much.
I think it's neither. Has probably more to do with upbringing than anything.

My aunt is a huge hypochondriac. She's a Taurus with almost all of her personal planets in Gemini. Leo Rising
