I noticed in recent years, they tend to combine your "Western Sign" and "Eastern Signs" into one. For example, sites that tries to do so states I'ma Monkey Pisces with my birth info.
There's is an Astrology Site, SuzzanneWhite.com, which exclusively concentrates on this.
While I'm not against trying to combine signs and analyzing your traits if they match these signs, what I am disturbed is the method of how they try to combine East and West concepts.
For example Suzanne Whites Site only lists Astrology as by Year(Chinese) and by Month (Western).
I also seen attempts to make side-by-side equivalents list such as Monkey is the equivalent of Leo, Pisces is the Equivalent of Rabbit in Chinese Astrology. See this list.

From what I learned, despite what pop-culture says, there's actually much more to Chinese Astrology than the Yearly Animals. For example they have the Inner Animal (based on Month of birth),True Animal (based on Day of birth), and the Secret Animal (based on Hour of Birth). This alone makes the concept of combining Eastern Astrology and Western Astrology based on just the Sun Sign and Year Sign very distorting, if not downright absolutely flawed.
It doesn't help Western Astrology also have similar concepts like the Rising Sign (hour of birth) and Moon Sign (based on the Lunar Cycles).
At first I thought such Eastern and Western Combinations were fun and matched me but he deeper I got in Tropical Astrology and Chinese Astrology (which only recently I started digging deep into) as well as Astrology in general be it Celtic or Vedic, the more and more I realized how too vastly different these systems are to be able to be compatible in combining the signs of different systems. The concepts are too different and the associated signs are also different. While there are similar traits , the deeper I dig into Eastern Astrology, the more different I realize a Monkey is from a Leo and Pig is from a Scorpio despite attempts to put side-by-side comparisons.
Don't even let me get into how Chinese Astrology doesn't use things in Tropical Astrology like Planets and Houses while Topical Astrology doesn't use the elements the same way as Chinese Astrology does or how Sidereel Astrology follows the Skies placements ATM while Tropical Astrology doesn't and its been a long time since Chinese Astrologers actively followed the stars like other systems do and Chinese Astrologers don't count in considerations of Degrees of Placements as Tropical and Sidereel Astrology does.
