I'm gonna be honest - if you're reading astrological blogs, you should probably stop because most of them tend to get even the most basic astrological rules and principles, wrong.Saturn does have a positive side, and it could manifest as you getting more serious about your career, or some plans/ideas you have on that front finally firming up and actually happening. Saturn just went into my ninth and I'm about to go off to college soon and I think it's only because Saturn is heading into that house, that it's finally going to happen, and I think this time I'll be able to see it through to its end because of that particular transit. Saturn can be constructive but is traditionally considered a malefic for a reason. A lot depends on the natal chart and of the attitude of the person towards responsibility...and planet reality in general. IP: Logged |

This is a stupid post, to be blunt because I never said Saturn has no bad side - I said it's not all bad. Someone failed reading in grade school, didn't they. And it has nothing to do with responsibility or any other personality implications or judgments silly astrologers put on it. Like any other planet, Saturn has a good side to it and a bad side, none of the planets are one-dimensional and they can manifest in either way. So it's inherently asinine (as well as cruel and super counterproductive) to tell someone that's about to start a pivotal Saturn transit that it will definitely go badly for them. There's just as much of a chance that things will go well. Lovehate122, don't listen to them. You'll do fine. Saturn or no, God doesn't dump anything in your lap that you can't handle anyway. Yep, well said Treefrog :-) totally with you..Saturn means learning about that house. It's likely you'll be required to focus more, and apply yourself more. Strangely I didn't feel Saturn in my 10th very profoundly last time it was there. It crossing your MC and contacting your Pluto will be notable most likely. Look to the house Pluto rules (11th?) if so there may be changes in social scenarios. Yes there may well be changes in career, lifestyle. You will probably learn a lot about the way you approach those areas of life. Saturn transits are wonderful, sure contacts to personal planets can feel isolating and a little testing at times but that's what makes us really appreciate the important things in life. Saturn tells us that we reap what we sew, and it shows us exactly *how* and *what* we should be sewing! It's a strict but supportive father figure. Don't fear it, it's your life only if you really resist who you are and what you path is will it be a struggle. Note most long relationships are full of Saturn because it's stable, supportive and the great teacher :-) IP: Logged |

Treefrog ~ watch your attitude, you'll have me thinking you're a squirrel next."Someone failed reading in grade school, didn't they." THAT is where you cross the line in to insults. IP: Logged |

There's some articles here, but there's also a couple of good books available, one is Erin Sullivan ~ Saturn in transit, and by Liz Greene ~ Saturn, a new look at an old devil. This one looks more at natal placements. There's also a huge book by Rob Hand ~ planets in transit, which is the same info used on the astro.com free interpretations. The book has all of the transits in. http://www.cafeastrology.com/saturntransits.html http://www.cafeastrology.com/saturntransitinghouses.html http://www.bobmarksastrologer.com/transitsSaturn18.4.htm

Saturn transits the 10th house:Saturn is “at home” in the 10th house. When Saturn transits your 10th house, career matters, reputation, and social status are at the forefront of your life. This period indicates an increase in responsibility and recognition in your career, especially if you haven’t “cut-corners” in the past to get where you are. Remember: Saturn always rewards hard work. Your professional success might be at the expense of your domestic situation at this time. In contrast, Saturn transiting your 10th house could also restrict your career opportunities, and the person may not find professional success once the transit is over. http://astrolady.wix.com/astrolady#!saturn-transits-the-houses/c135b Is Saturn making positive aspects to your natal planet while it is transiting your 10th house? Will Jupiter be transiting your 6th house? IP: Logged |

Back in 2007, I had to endure the negative aspects of saturn in my 10th but I will admit I was not working as hard. Jeez I had been working so hard all my life. At the time I had no clue that this transit wouldnt aloow me to take a break. Anyway, I tried working hard after getting slapped i nthe face but it was too much, things started to crumble for me. Honestly, Then it moved into my 11th I started isolating myself and because I was focused on correcting my career flop I ended up cutting ties with people.

Natally I have retrograde saturn and retrograde pluto conjunct in my 12th house libra. Saturn has already half way through my 12th house. The most horrific Saturn transit I endured was it going through my 10th house aspecting my venus. That was the worst phase. According to vedic charts I was going through a sade sani aka saturn return. And that was why. But now according to western charts I will have barely started the whole saturn return phase. In any case, I was emotionally shattered because of a guy. That was my fault though and I placed him incorrectly high on my priority list. I realize that now. Also, after I started clearing the clutter, I honestly feel at peace. My relationship with family has gotten sooooo much better now. I am more focused on my career and feel like I am lifting the rubble from when it crashed my career during its transit across my 10th house. It is not all that bad. I think for me it made me more resolute, clear with my priorities and prevented me from wasting my time with other nonsense. I feel it is helping me or guiding me toward my goals. If you have a goal and still want a huge party then this transit will bother you. Or maybe if you have no goal that you are currently pursuing this will not bother you as much. In any case, if you are willing to quietly work on issues then this will be a good time. IP: Logged |
