My Youngest has a 1st House Mars and is turning out to have red hair.Among those with a genetic predisposition towards it, have any of you noticed a trend for redheads (gingers through those with strawberry blonde ir auburn hair) to have a strong or 1st house Mars? I was thinking that it could be the reason behind the stereotype of "feisty redheads". ------------------

Nope. The one I know is temperamental and vindictive, but not really 'feisty' because she resorts to underhanded tactics, manipulation and passive-aggressiveness to get it out of her system, which is the coward's way out to me.Her hair is red and Mars is prominent in her chart, but in retrospect she's pretty old so I doubt it's even her real hair color (she's almost 60). I have my ASC in Sagittarius - fire - and in the Aries decan AND duad, so a triple dose of fire. I've always had a reddish-auburn tint to my hair.My grandmother had very reddish-brown hair. She has Mars in Aqua trine her Gemini ASC, and Moon in Leo sextile ASC. So it appears that yes, having a fire influence or a fiery ASC can increase the chances for a reddish tint to your hair, at least in my family.  IP: Logged |

Nope. People just like to pretend that the shell actually reflects the soul. That is never the case. You'll find as many soft-spoken, sweet redheads as you can find feisty ones.  IP: Logged |

I'm not saying that they're not soft-spoken or sweet.I'm asserting that it may be the case that red-haired people have a strong Mars, especially H1 and that that tendency may be the root of the stereotype. Show me a ginger that doesn't fit those astrological parameters, and I'll rescind the gavel bang. ------------------

My best friend is a redhead with Mars in the 8th in Taurus. She is quite sexual but not feisty. She has a Libra Rising with an empty 1st house.IP: Logged |

Okay, so I've been looking at the charts of two other redheads and all three have Mars in the 8th house...and all have a Libra Rising....

That *is* interesting - I wouldn't have guessed that.Maybe it's tied in with Mars being the former ruler of Scorpio (er, right?) and the 8th being the Scorpion's House...? Know any more? ------------------

Could be. I know another one but he has a Cancer Rising and Mars in Cancer in the 12th house (no conjunction). He's a Taurus. I've been looking at some people with strong Mars(e.g. H1) and/or fire rising and they all have jet black hair. And lots of it.
So maybe Mars is the wrong trail? I know it's a thing commonly said in astrology but I couldn't find one redhead (who hadn't just a "red tint" about their hair) who had Mars on their Rising Sign or a fire Rising. And they're still ginger, so.... side note: all of these have fire-red hair. I didn't count strawberry blondes or auburn. IP: Logged |

Thanks for looking into it!The only person with any red hair in my collection of charts (besides my daughter) is my husband - Aries Mars/Venus conj in the 12th very close to his Asc - so I have a pretty limited pool. ------------------

Mars 12th house in Pisces...... auburn..... not fiesty really. On the contrary very tolerant/ controlled.------------------
