Masculine signs tend to directly go after what they want and are active, and aggressive. Masculine signs are 'electric' in temperament, and pour their energy forth into the world in the form of charisma and vivaciousness. These folks often have charm to spear, and use the strength of their personality to push themselves forward. Masculine signs have tremendous forceful power. Wherever masculine signs go, they tend to promote a dynamic, exciting environment where happenings are chaotic and loud.

Feminine signs, on the other hand, draw what they want toward them and are serene, and gentle. Feminine signs are 'magnetic' in temperament, and pull people and things toward them with their receptive, quiet energy. These folks have the skill of subtle allurement down to an art, and carefully maneuver themselves forward. Feminine signs have tremendous attractive power (Magnets might be passive, but they ain't weak). Wherever feminine signs go, they tend to promote a calm, soothing environment where happenings are peaceful and discreet.

In the most basic sense, masculine signs are like a 'push', while feminine signs are like a 'pull', in the way they seek to attain goals.

The terms 'masculine' and 'feminine' in astrology obviously do come from the traditional gender roles of the man being the aggressor and provider while, the women is the submissive receiver. Some people may take issue with that these days, so maybe the terms 'electric' and 'magnetic' would be a better fit...

To be honest though, I have noticed through observation that men and women are distinctly different in general (With some variation of course!). I'm talking about biological men and women here, not the astrological principles of masculine and feminine. Biological men are generally more assertive, and have more of a 'hunter' mentality, while biological women are more agreeable and polite, and have more of a 'receptive' mentality. Even women with lots of astrologically 'masculine' energy in their charts often still prefer the guy to take initiative. They may be outgoing, but will use the majority of their gregarious 'masculine' energy in other areas of their lives (In other words, they're not all running around chasing guys just because they have masculine energy in their charts). The reverse seems to apply for 'feminine' sign biological men. They might be reserved, and calm, and all that, but they are still men and still have that hunter mentality for the most part. Like I said before, there are always exceptions to the rule, but in general men are still men, and women are still women, regardless of their astrological makeup. Having masculine or feminine signs dominant in the chart will have an effect on personality, especially in terms of extroversion/introversion, but feminine sign men are not necessarily effeminate, nor are masculine women necessarily 'butch'. This is another reason why I like the terms 'magnetic' and 'electric'. It keeps the whole gender roles thing from confusing what it really means to be strong in Earth/Water or Fire/Air.

I really cant see this applying to all the masculine and feminine signs.

Libra for one, behaves more like a feminine/receptive sign. They get what they want by being passive and drawing it to them through gentle charm. Even in men, libras like things to happen to them, rather than going after it. At most they use subtle manipulation through thier charm. Capricorn goes after what they want with blood sweat and tears. Same with scorpio. Both "feminine" signs. Ive never met a scorpio that just waited for things to be drawn to them, they usually orchestrate things to happen. I see this esp with mars signs. Libra mars like. dont do anything. Theyre worse than my taurus mars. Scorpio mars are never tired and always striving for something. Cap mars is a force of nature!

Also. Strangely, libra is ruled by venus, and scoprio mars. Libra is opposite the mars ruled sign, aries. And scorpio is opposite the venus ruled sign, taurus.

And lets bring the "androgynous" signs into the mix. Gemini and Aquarius. They aren't particularly forceful either. And being the opposite of leo, aquarius is anti-personality.

Well I'm mostly feminine signs and I attract people who have at least half thier chart in masculine signs. If they dont have that many masculine signs, at least two of thier big three as masculine. I think it works out like this because I am passive and these people take the initiative. I never initiate in social situations. Ever. Totally out of my comfort zone. I assume other people like me are the same like we rarely meet lol

BUT I kind of prefer the company of people that have mostly feminine signs, probably just because of the synastry.. over time too many squares wear on me? Or just I prefer the company of people that have subtle passive energy than powerhouse kind of people. Also I always kind of feel like everyone has secrets and a deeper meaning to what they say, if I meet someone that is really direct and what you see is what you gets (aries, sag) I waste my time trying to see if "Im fine" really meant they are fine.

Not really. My three dominant planets ( in order) are:
1)Venus 2)Saturn 3) Pluto

I'm attracted to Saturnian individuals (Saturn in the 7th, DC in Aqua) but my friends and family are all feminine dominant:
Mother, father, sibling: Moon/Pluto dominant
Which weirdly reflects in my own chart(Moon and Pluto in the 4th in Scorpio).

Both of my current friends are Scorios and how! Both have Scorpio stelliums with hardly any planets in another sign.
