Not regarding the Gemini Twins...I'm SURE this comes up on a regular basis, but my sister who does NOT believe in Astrology in the slightest mentioned Twins in one of her arguements. I told her straight up that I didn't know, so I immediately looked it up. Although I understand the theory behind it, it seems kind of... odd to me  I would like to hear if there are different theories, or what some of you understand about it.

I know identical twins born 20 minutes apart. Even upon first meeting them I could tell the difference (even though people who have known them much longer couldn't) eventually I got into astrology and found out the birth times. One has a Scorpio rising - the other libra. I can definitely see the scorp asc difference in the ones personality. I don't understand it completely. Although they are a lot alike. It's interesting bc one is a smoker and the other one isn't - there's other differences too I'm not gona go too much into detail. But I guess it's harder to explain with those born closer in time IP: Logged |

One interesting thing is the ninth harmonics change so fast that theirs are more different than youd expect. That could be a key right there The one has a Gemini rising in ninth harmonic and the other a Leo. IP: Logged |

apart from that I am using houserulers (Placidus or topocentric), which are very timesensitive.
I do not believe that twin "split" the chart between them though.
I also agree with Peachbeigeblue. The harmonic charts are very important, especially the 9th harmonic and possibly the Age harmonics.

Like peachbeigeblue mentioned, differences between Ascendants can play a biiiig, big part. I have two siblings who are twins and one has a Virgo rising, the other a Libra. Major difference!  And not only that, say a pair of twins had the same rising, but at different degrees...well, now they'll have different duads, maybe planets will swap houses...etc.That aside, twins and astrology is a nature vs. nurture question. They may have the same natal chart, but they won't live the exact same life, right? Same tools, different minds putting them to use.  IP: Logged |

Different Ascendants make all the difference in the world. House rulerships are different, and sometimes planets are in different houses.IP: Logged |

Even when people are born so close together they seem to have the exact same chart (as in the case of twins), like someone mentioned above, the decans and duads are usually different and that will account for the differences in their personalities.In short - someone trying to use twins as a way to disprove astrology is really showing their ignorance on the subject instead of proving anything.
