If my Asc is at 27 degrees Sagittarius....then jupiter is my ascendant Ruler right? But my 1st house is from 27 deg Sagittarius to 27 degr Capricorn, then is Jupiter or Saturn my 1st house ruler? Can the ascendant ruler and 1st house ruler be different?
Similarly, 27 gem is desc, So is mercury or moon my 7th house ruler?

The ruler of the house is decided by the sign on the cusp of that house
The ruler of your 1st house is jupiter (27 SAG)
The ruler of your 7th house is mercury (27 GEMINI)

Asc ruler is same as first house ruler but planets in the 1st can add to that energy. BUT, asc ruler remains the same as the 1st house ruler.

Mercury is ruler of the des and 7th house if Gemini is on the descendant. And again, if you have planets in the 7th, they will ADD to the vibe but not change the rulership that Mercury has.

Ok.
What about ic and mc? in equal house system 27deg pisces is my 4th house cusp. But 6 deg aries is my ic. So what is my ic ruler?
In this case, 4th house ruler and ic ruler are different?

And, Lastly, if my mars is at 10 deg cancer, it is in the 7th house whose ruler is mercury right? But is the moon or mercury the ruler of my mars?

Unfortunally differenr systems give different cusps
In the placidus system the ic is the cusp of the 4th and the mc the cusp of the 10th

The ruler of your mars is the moon since your mars is in cancer

Hi,

Your ASC is close to mine! That's so exciting. My ASC is 29 degrees Sagittarius and the ruler of my 1H is still Jupiter. But sometimes I wonder if I have more Capricorn tendencies because I'm so close. But I defiantly find Jupiter ruled men attractive so it must be right! Do you find that you have some Capricorn tendencies? Or anything conjunct your ASC?

Well i was talking about my brother...he has these placements...(i am leo asc)...he definitely behaves like a typical sag asc....dunno if he feels the capricorn tendencies but he has SN in capricorn..
