I'm a Virgo Sun/Virgo Asc/Gemini Moon and I do have earthy traits such as being practical and analytical even the Air of intelligence but i have never felt closer to any element than water.

When I was a little girl, before i knew about astrology and such I used to call myself the water princess and make stories casting my friends as other 'princesses related to nature' My main dreams where ocean themed to this day. I love swimming. I consider myself very emotional inside, my feelings get hurt easily. My favorite museum to go is the Aquarium. I've always loved swimming. My dream is to go to the ocean one day and just lay flat in it. To feel blended or at home. Most of my friends are Cancers and not only that My other obsession is the Moon. I have about 3 crescent moons tattooed on various spots on my body. The most out of touch element to me has always been fire. I'm introverted and usually cold. If we want to talk Chinese astrology. A Chinese message therapist once told me i am mostly yin & water. Also my most heavily aspected planet is Neptune which trines my sun and asc

Enough of my rambling, but have any of you felt this way...for example felt like a fire Taurus or a earthy Sagittarius? I feel like a water virgo.

I don't resonnate with much of my Virgo Sun or ASC Cap. I just don't.

If I read Sun Leo or Scorpio - that is what I feel like. I love attention and giving attention. I want to feel appreicated and needed by others. But I love mysterious things and diving in deep to people's psyches, love anything to do with talking about and dealing with sex, dealing with deep issues money, death, transformation ...And then I have this very jupiter (large and happy) plus quirky uranus personality too. But I'm also moody and emotional and I'm sensitive...so more and more... I don't know what I fit in with. lol.

My Chart:
Sun Virgo (8th)
Moon Aquarius (1st)
Mars/Merucry Virgo (9th)
Jupiter - Pisces (2nd)
Saturn Cancer (7th)
Venus - Leo (8th)
ASC - Cap

CRCRINCON, have you checked your decans or duads? There may be some fire or water influence in there.

I myself am very sensitive emotionally and not really dominating or aggressive (at least not outwardly) and could care less about receiving attention from everyone so long as I have the attention of a close friend or lover. I don't have the "get over it" attitude many fire signs relate to, especially Aries and Sagittarius and they are my Moon and rising. I have a bunch of Leo, yet I don't care for the spotlight. Sometimes I like the idea but for the most part I'll pass. At one time in my life I acted like a typical Leo, jumping in random pictures to the dismay of everyone else and playing the comedian, but I feel like as I got older I became withdrawn and subdued. Idk. I do love attention to my creativity and jokes...but not other things. I am very private.

I feel like a textbook water sign without all the manipulative tendencies. But I have several 8th house and a 12th house planet. Though pullen rates my Sun as the strongest influence, I don't feel it except regarding creativity and freedom of self-expression. But pride, ego and being the center of the universe, no. I find the astrowin calculator makes a lot more sense, where Neptune weighs on my chart.

Astro Win is more accurate for me too...for example astrowin says my neptune and uranus is in the 4th house but astrodienst says 5th...i relate way more with astrowin

Only in relationships, not in general.

I'm very airy in general but in relationships I burn with Plutonian energy. I don't know what it is but I don't really like it.

Totally. I'm a Watery Libra. I have 4 Scorpio planets and my Scorpio Jupiter/NN/Venus are all in the Pisces duad.

I definitely do have an Airy bent to my personality that manifests at different times like having my Sun in the Aquarius decan+duad plus not having my Sun aspect anything minus my ASC in a ptolemaic sense makes me appear pretty Aquarian sometimes.

The difficult part about my Saggie rising is having an Aries decan+duad then square my Virgo Moon. Makes me seem 3x more outgoing than I actually am inside.

I have 6 out of 10 planets in air signs and in addition, I have air rising and I think I "feel" closer to air people or heavily air chart- that is, intellectual closeness. I probably "connect" emotionally quicker to water signs because I think they tend to have less walls up but I don't really "feel" close to them. I honestly don't really "feel" much for others, least of all "close." I'm very skeptical of emotions and question whether my actions get clouded by emotions if I do end up "feeling" anything for anyone.

Strangely enough, people with a lot of fire in their chart are drawn to me. I always thought fire liked fire the most, and probably on the surface they do, but they probably deeply crave intellectual closeness which is something heavily air laden people are comfortable in giving.

I attribute your emotional neediness and desire for attention and wanting to give attention back to be due to Cancer Saturn... particularly Saturn in Cancer in the 7th house. Cancer Saturn is very insecure about abandonment. Your Leo Venus is really mushy and demanding of love and wanting a lot of love, and that combined with the Cancer Saturn gives it an emotionally hungry affect. Also, contrary to popular belief, I find Virgo Sun people to actually be very needy and emotional...which is why if they don't get affection in return, they get very depressed (much like Pisces).

Virgo is very unlike their Mercury neighbor Gemini. If Gemini does not get attention, it just doesn't care. Gemini is actually an introverted sign and likes being alone and spending a lot of alone time (even though Gemini people seem to be very socially adept). Virgo on the other hand, are actually extroverted. Most people don't understand what extrovert and introvert means. Extroverts rely on external influences and gets energized by the outside world. Introverts rely on internal mechanisms and get maxed out by the outside world. Neither being an introvert nor extrovert have anything to do with how well a person socializes or possess proper etiquette. Gemini exists for their ideas and likes living inside their heads- that's an heavily internal activity. Virgo exists for service and enjoy getting awarded/praised which very externally dependent.

That being said, I don't think you're an "untypical" Virgo. I've met plenty of Virgos who are very emotionally demanding. I get why in the real world that if there is a Gemini-Virgo pairing, it would be a male Gemini and not female Gemini because they tend to be cool and emotionally detached, regardless of moon sign (overall). A female Virgo who is emotionally demanding is fine because that's considered "feminine."

Yep but there's always a reason for that sort of thing - either by transit, progression or natally. The culprit is always *there* if you're willing to look for it.

I'm pretty Piscean/Neptunian despite having nada in Pisces. I realized why later when someone pointed out that Neptune is a singleton in my chart. It also forms aspects to both my luminaries, so no wonder.

I've been feeling more like my element's Water as opposed to Air. I mean, yeah, I have intellect like you wouldn't believe, but I've always felt like my soul's an ocean... and I lack planets in Water (if you don't count asteroids). They're mostly in Air signs (mostly in Gemini).

Well this applies when it comes to my Moon sign.
My Moon is in Capricorn in the 7th house... and I am closest to people who have a Gemini Moon, a Leo Moon or a Scorpio Moon.
I am not close to any earth Mooners and I particularly have some serious problems with Taurus Moon men. Every one I know - I just can't get along with.

No, not me. I'm water all day long....water dominant by far, and am pretty much the element personified. I have a fair amount of earth though thank god to stop things getting too overwhelming(!!)

But I would love to have more air in my chart as I only have a Pluto singleton in Air. I'd love to have some of that rational, ordered thinking but so it goes.

Sometimes I feel a little watery. I'm pretty sensitive and devoted. Probably my 8th house moon in Pisces trine Pluto. I wonder, is that moon more Scorpio, or more Pisces?
