Hi,

I'm new here and in a new relationship, which started online. We've only met twice over the past year as he lives in another country (why me I ask?) but he is the answer to my dreams in all other ways.

We have a stellium - Sun, Mercury, Mars and Jupiter in our composite 12th house (Virgo). Does this have any implications for whether our relationship will last? I have read many differing accounts about this.

Thanks to anyone who'll respond

First off, welcome to Lindaland Astro Keen!

Ok... well, one positive is you don't have your composite Venus in the 12th. I've had this tricky and often saddening placement where one or both parties has to keep the union secret for some reason or other, and it starts off foggy and unclear in its romantic boundaries... meaning one person could be overly affectionate while the other is distant or already with someone else. So it's obvious that you two could really grow to love one another potentially if your composite Venus is well aspected. Where is it and how is it? Does it touch the 12H stellium?

To me, since it was an online based relationship, the Sun and Mercury being in the 12th composite makes the most sense. The Sun in comp. is the life force and whole focus/basis of the meeting and your relationship itself. The 12th house is the house of Pisces - karma, undoings, secrets and things behind the scenes. In your case, if the Sun is positively aspected, this to me shows that the basis of your relationship, since it was through online communications, was pretty 'behind the scenes'. People in both your lives don't usually even see you two together. You're usually talking and writing to each other but not in person. This can potentially be very trying on you both since the Sun being sheltered by the behind the scenes can drain the life force of the relationship - meaning, not enough real life contact, and too much dream-like Piscean contact via email, computer etc. could make you two dissolve. I'm not saying you'll break up, but you might find it challenging to be away all the time and unable to consistently build upon the union in person.

The fact that the stellium is in Virgo to me speaks even more of how the whole thing began via computer/online. Since Virgo + Gemini rule Mercury, which rules that sort of communication.

From sasstrology.com: "Couples with a composite Twelfth House share a specific karma that needs realignment; something is out of kilter and needs to be put right again." To me, having your Sun and Mercury here along with Mars, the planet of sexuality and physical passion, means that you two really have to accomplish quite a bit in terms of solidifying this relationship IRL. You have the foundations laid out across the computer, but with Mars in the 12th, you might feel you literally can't or don't have enough sex; with the Sun, you feel you can connect but can't be in person and sharing your identities together enough; with Mercury, you can talk about almost any of the deepest things yet you might feel it's too difficult to call or talk casually and share intimate sentiments over the phone, or that there's some flaw in having this online relationship... that it's too sterile of a communication between you two and not romantic enough.

What do you think?

This certainly does not spell doom. It merely spells that you two have many things to build upon. The 12th house COMPELS you both to really FIGHT for it, and try your best to get something MORE out of all these planets. You feel like things could be even more magical than they already are if you could build on these planets yet the 12th house makes it feel like it's very difficult to try. But with love, there's always a way. I firmly believe in this.

BTW I'm still thinking about Jupiter... not sure on that one.

Thank you so much for your detailed response sweet scorpion. This makes good sense. Not only is it reassuring, it also helps to deepen understanding about astrological matters.

Your interpretation with Mercury being in the composite 12th - "you can talk about almost any of the deepest things yet you might feel it's too difficult to call or talk casually and share intimate sentiments over the phone' - is spot on. Amazing, in fact!

To answer some of your queries, our composite venus is in the 1st house. Does that constitute a good aspect? I'm not sure what the term 'well aspected' means.

We have good aspects with Jupiter in our synastry report, my Jupiter is conjunct his Mars, Pluto, Sun and Moon and sextile his Neptune. We also have some other good synastry aspects, both Moons in Aquarius, Sun conjunct Asc, Moon opp Sun, Venus sextile Venus etc.

On the other hand, I have my Saturn squaring both his moon and sun, which seems to be more bad than good.

I'm not sure how these various aspects play out, as it were. I've read that synastry is about how we attract and the composite report is how it pans out.

Thanks again. Any other observations from you would be gratefully received.
