Are there any specific configurations in synastry or composite charts to indicate that the relationship will improve as it progresses. Or in other words, getting to know each other better is likely to strengthen the relationship; love will not fade.

Does anyone have any personal stories to tell about their charts?

Would love some advice. I'm in a new relationship and am secretly terrified it may not last - a very self-defeating fear.

Hmm, you need time for improvement. Typically we look at Saturn contacts to try and guess the longevity. My husband's Saturn is right on my Venus, for example. I liked him first and it took a while for him to respond. Our marriage has gotten better over time.

Transits can also make or break a relationship; Pluto was transiting conjunct that my Venus/hubby's Saturn when we got married.

I think some of us have had experiences with certain synastry aspects that make us think, "I'll never try THAT again!" For me, it would be moon conjunct Mars (if I were single.) That gets WORSE over time, I think. Starts off great and crashes.

Looking forward to hearing others' replies.

Good luck!

I'll 2nd the Moon/Mars conjunct. I once knew a couple with that in their synastry. It was all passion, passion, passion all the time. They got married, then split within two years. It was ugly.

Improvement means that people work on themselves and on the relationship, so I would look for positive Saturn and/or Pluto placements.

Moon/mars becomes irritation as time goes on...passionate & hot in the beginning then when it ends you are left with "wth was I thinking???"

Thanks!!

I don't have a moon/mars aspect. Phew! And I have a mixed bag of Saturn aspects and many good Pluto aspects in synastry:
Saturn sextile venus
Mars sextile Saturn
Saturn Square Sun
Saturn Square Moon
Saturn Conjunction Ascend

These are offset with good Jupiter placements which I believe keep the relationship light as Saturn can get too serious or heavy.

Is it true that the composite chart would be the one to refer to see how the relationship pans out?

Any other thoughts on this?
