Why do I feel completely opposite to my daily forecast which indicates a happy, romantic and energetic time - Mars sextile Sun, Moon sextile Venus, Jupiter trine Mercury?

It's not as if my birth time is wrong. No other factors seem to be contributing to the fact I feel at an all time low and feeling utterly miserable. Well, no new factors anyway (miseries in the distant past shouldn't be surfacing now surely!)

Any suggestions as to why this might be the case? How could one look at the forecast more accurately?

You have just had Saturn transit your Sun which can depress things...it's still only a couple of degrees past so you might still be feeling the effects of that.

Also, the Sun has just conjunct your natal Saturn and will square you natal Pluto in the next couple of days...this actually would drag up stuff from the distant past, especially as there's a lot of activity in your 4th house right now. Pluto always digs stuff up because it's his job, this happens whether it's natal Pluto being hit by a transit or if it's transiting Pluto aspecting something in your natal.

Sextiles are a fairly weak aspect, it takes a certain amount of effort to get the benefits out of it. The Jupiter trine Mercury is a nice one, indicates your mind will try to aim for the positive.

Any transits to your Venus won't give the usual benefits because it conjuncts Saturn in your natal chart, this will add a degree of seriousness, it won't stop you from being happy but it's never going to have you hopping around fields like a pink bunny. You might actually find it's the trines to your Venus that give the best results.

Wow quinnly! You are so knowledgeable. I would really like to deepen my understanding of astrology. Any recommendations of what I could read? A consult with you, if you're in the UK, would be a good start.

Ahahaha @ Randall, most of the rocking I do takes place in my kitchen to Linkin Park

Astro keen ~ I use Robert Hand's ~ Planets in Transit as a basic guide but I always keep the natal aspects in mind. For natal stuff I've been heavily influenced by Liz Greene, who was one of the early UK pioneers of psychological astrology. She has tons of books available. I also like Karen Hamaker Zondag, and Erin Sullivan. It depends which area you're being drawn to...if you're looking for well rounded intermediate level [beyond Sun signs but not too detailed] Kevin Burk has a good book, Astrology ~ Understanding the birth chart. Or if you like a good sense of humour ~ Kim Rogers Gallagher wrote ~ Astrology for the light side of the brain.

If you wanted a consult ~

I'm in Wiltshire, I've been a professional for a while now, and studying for nearly twenty years. I'm in the process of creating a fairly big site [for info] and the page for services etc, is here

I'm actually working on it now so you'll have to excuse the mess towards the bottom. :/

I had a quick look at your site and it's looking great. Very clearly set out and seems easy to navigate. Artistic too. Thanks for the link and info on authors. I will enjoy reading the info on your site.
