Topic: Scorpio will never get gemini?

By "get" I mean something along the lines of fully understand this sign but what I am alluding to is actually from some impression from Linda Goodman's Love Signs and I thought hmm that's interesting and its been etched in a little corner of my mind ever since but what are your thoughts? Gemini is quincunx scorpio,I have never seen a gemini get along well with scorpio,I guess they are too different from each other.Well if the scorpio has some planets in libra or sag,gemini has in taurus or cancer,it might be a different case but if you put a pure scorpio with a pure gemini,I dont think they will get along.IP: Logged |

I think there are other things to look at.
my Leo sun quincunx husband's Cap sun but we have been together 13 yrs. 12 of it married.
I know what you mean Gemini and Scorp. I've seen couples, they don't last long. but that could be anything e.g. the whole chart is not compatible IP: Logged |

Well, I like Scorpios. I have a Gemini stellium and a Cancer Moon and Mars.I think if a Gemini has a water moon, they could get Scorpios. ------------------

I'm a Gemini Sun and my Mother is a Scorpio Sun, we've never been able to get each other's personalities, we're different in that but we share the same ASC sign so that I think masks the Quincunx of Suns My ex was a Capricorn Sun and that has a similar affect with Geminis. This was worse, we never really understood what the other person was about in terms of personality, the ASC/DSC and North Node/South Node connection bound us together though. The two axis in both of our charts were opposing each other. In all honesty after the break up I never really missed his personality much. In terms of the Quincunx, it's a really hard challenge to balance the two different energies from the two people. IP: Logged |

It's worse when you have this as a natal thing, my ASC is Quincunx my Sun (Scorp ASC, Gem Sun) anyone with this sort of energy between the personal planets/points will know what I mean. My mask on the outside portrays someone quite deep, mystical and slightly scary at times but my inner personality is quite the Gemini, fun fun fun, talk talk talk.

Me: Gem Sun & Merc, Libra Moon, Cancer Venus, Virgo Asc. Also Virgo Mars, Cancer Jupiter, and Scorpio Uranus.Person one: Scorpio Sun, Aries Moon, Libra Merc, Scorpio Venus, Leo Asc. This is my sis-in-law. She is one of my closest friends. We get along amazingly well. Person two: Scorpio Sun, Scorpio Mercury, Sag Venus, don't remember his moon or Asc. He is one of my best friends for almost 20 years. We get along excellent. Person three: Scorpio Sun, Scorpio Merc, Cap Moon, Sag Venus, don't know his asc. He's my father. We get along pretty good. Person four: Scorpio Sun, Libra Moon, Sag Merc, Sag Venus, not sure of Asc. She is "the one." We known each other since 1988 and we get along amazing. I usually get along with and "get" Scorpios very well in general. Maybe its cuz I have water Venus, Jupiter, and Uranus and Sextile Asc and Mars (Virgo). And probably because the ones close to me all have some air in their charts. I think I handle the Scorpio quincunx pretty well. I appreciate and love their intensity. It translates into me feeling they are genuine, real, and not fake or superficial, and thats important to me. Its the Cappy quincunx I have a hard time with. ------------------

You're the opposite of me!
I have Scorp Sun and Gem ASC.
Ehh yeah, the challenge is great.
Basically I project a light/careless image to people but inside I'm quite the dark, cynical type. It's like I have multiple personalities at times. *And* I'm moody as hell.
On topic:
I do think that unless both have some compatible elements in their charts, Gemini & Scorpio won't get each other. They're like complete aliens. There is usually some kind of weird attraction/fascination going on though. IP: Logged |

I think it has to do with the charts, but I do agree that if you take a "pure" Scorpio and "pure" Gemini, they wouldn't understand one another. If you get a Scorpio with a lot of air, or a Gemini with a lot of water, they can work.I've encountered a lot of Scorpio-Gemini marriages and you would think it odd but for some reason, but they got together. Usually that combo is male Scorpio and female Gemini, although, I do have a female Scorpio friend married to a Gemini (but she chased him). It makes sense to me why Scorpio would find Gemini to be enticing. Scorpio loves challenges and Gemini likes being crazy and aloof. I say this combo works more in favor of the male being Scorpio. I'm a Gemini (sun, mercury, venus) but I have Pisces moon and Scorpio Uranus (my only 2 water planets) and I do understand Scorpios. Oddly enough, they find me quite a fascination (their Scorpio planets conjunct my uranus) and think of me as a brilliant, bright shiny thing. On the whole, I think Scorpio always like Gemini for their wackiness and braininess. And on a deeper level, Gemini appreciates Scorpio for sticking by them through thick and thin. As for the Scorpio-Gemini parent-child relationship, I can comment much about this. My Dad has a Scorpio stellium (sun, mercury, venus, saturn) but he has a grand air kite and his moon is aquarius. My Dad's always believed in me and bragged about me to everyone. If anyone insinuates anything below "wonderful" about me, he'll rip their heads off. My Dad always supported me in whatever I take up, both emotionally and financially. The intellectual part is a different matter. He almost always NEVER agrees with me, however he never expected us to ever see eye to eye on any intellectual matter (probably the Aqua moon being laissez faire). In private, my Dad can scold me (like a Scorpio parent would do) and tell me that I really worry him. To the outside world, my Dad's grand air kite supports my heavily air chart (3 Gemini, 4 Libra) but in private, WATCH OUT! He snaps at me from the "air," so to speak and usually I have no choice but to get stung. Oddly enough, I never put up with anyone's scolding, but only my Dad. I've had Scorpio bosses who made work really hell and I still fought them. But with my Dad, no, I don't fight him at all. I deal with his sporadic emotions and then we move on.
But that's what happens when you get a Scorpio with lots of air influences. IP: Logged |

I have a Scorpio sun with Gemini in my 7th.Thankfully I've got a lot of Sagittarius and Libra in my chart, but if Gemini doesn't have at least some planet in Cancer or Scorpio it's not always so easy. IP: Logged |

I think it's more accurate to say they just don't understand each other, as opposed to one not understanding the other, like another member pointed out. The energies are just very different.The last post makes a good point though, you really have to take aspects into account because that could bridge the distance. IP: Logged |

I have a Scorpio cousin married to a Gemini - and i do believe "they're set for life..." the Scorpio gets her way most of the time - but both them have a Libra type of relationship where harmony succeeds at the end of the day... i wouldn't say this about others - but i know this for sure about them "those two are set for life (as long as they have anyway)". They are married for only two years - but there are some people, you just know they can make it - there will be some struggle along the way - that can't be avoided in any relationship... but not enough to brake them apart...I also have 2 friends - both from Aquarius for which i could say the same... and then there are others - for which it's the opposite... most of the time they struggle to keep the relation floating and around those - feels like it's just a matter of time - they're trapped in their relationship - and both know it "hoping for some change that can ease their pain"...
