I am a big movie buff! Especially classic films from the 40-60's

But...I was recently looking at some movie stills from one of my fave movies from the 80's--The Breakfast Club. Hilariously quotable! The most popular character from that film seems to be John Bender--

Super sarcastic, this character is definitely in touch with his emotions and not afraid to be be blunt about it! Then I got to thinking....he's seems like a Scorpio--all brooding and everything. ^_^

What are your fave characters from films or books and what astrological energies do you think they represent?

:-)

my favorite fictional character is a book character (the re-enactments have all strayed away from the character in the book they don't resemble her at all!) she's the wicked witch of the west, Elphaba.

i believe she's an aqua sun conjunct mars.

Lonake--

You have Dolores down to the specifics! That is the movie I always catch in the middle....and I'm like I have to see it from the beginning!

You know, I DO think that Bender has some aries qualities! Hadn't even thought of the moon possibility!

Oooooo, Scorpio/ Aries!

Venus: OK, I see--Elphaba from Wicked! Still have to read that...or see the play. Fab!

One of my favourite characters is Tyrion Lannister from Game of Thrones.

The character is responsible for probably one of the best quotes I've heard; "Never forget what you are, for surely the world will not. Armour yourself in it then it can never be used to hurt you"

He has a very wise and grounded energy with a wicked wit and sarcasm. He reads people instantly and is incredibly underestimated by everyone around him, particularly his own family. I wouldnt want to pigeonhole him with a sunsign as I dont feel i can do him justice!

I am a movie and TV series buff. One of my fav characters that I like as of recent is Agent Dunham (Anna Torv) on Fringe. Before looking up her birth info, I noticed I liked the way she acts. She's very believable to me plus I like the way she is awesome at reading people. As it turns out, she and I are astro twins, we were both born June 15 1978!

I also like the crossbow guy from the walking dead. His character is really genuine and fights for the underdog.

I also like Pita and Catniss from hunger games. Not sure of their signs.

I like Don Cheadle's character in House of Lies.

I like Michael and Bodie's characters in the wire.

I like the surgeons character from lost too.

+1 on Tyrion Lannister! He's my favorite character on the show!

I'll post their signs later. It'll be interesting to see what their signs are.

Gemini Sun
Libra Moon
Gemini Mercury
Cancer Venus
Virgo Mars
Virgo Asc

And yes, I'm a guy!

One of my all time favourite actors, in one of his all time greatest roles~ in probably one of my top five pieces of literature and film!~

Jack Nicholson (a Taurus~)

as "Mac", R.P. McMurphy~ One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest

~ watchin' him perform the role I always get the impression Mac would be a Leo~ at least Sun if not double-Leo (SUN/ASC) --- the role called for that almost over-acting~ enthusiasm, and oh~ the moodiness, power-struggles...

Jack is a great actor~ I think he masks his own Sun/Moon really well when he needs get into a role (hallmark of the greatest actors - that immersion, aye).

I also loved him in The Shining~ which *I feel* he brought a bit of his Leo-ness too as well but, more Gemini Sun for Torrence's character~

I think my favourite female characters (maybe of all time), are Blanche & Baby Jane Hudson~~~~~~~ from Whatever Happened to Baby jane?!~

I adore Joan Crawford and Bette Davis (and many in their generation) for their pure dedication to their roles/art! Baby Jane, maybe an Aquarius/Cancer??? And Blanche, possibly a Libra/Virgo mix? If that's not too unfair~

Baby Jane~ "You mean all these years we could have been friends?" (after the truth of the accident is revealed)

Blanche~ (in response to the Dr. asking about Jane's condition) "Yes, she's emotionally disturbed. She's unbalanced!"

---- the perfect sisters ---- lol

anyway <3 great topic!~ <3

oh!!! And, I loved The Breakfast Club~ too growing up, late 80s!~ ^-^; --- what sign(s) do you think Reynolds' "basket-case" character matched? -curiousity- Bender does seem very SCO/ARI-ish~ -agreed-

Andy from Shawshank Redemption!

I get the feel he's Pisces Sun, Cap Moon, Cap ASC.
He's empathetic of his fellow inmates and stands up for them. Very cool calm collected way of going about his long drawn out plan.

SatunineMoth--

What Happened to Baby Jane gets me every time! Better Davis went ALL out in that one!
Aquarius/cancer is interesting---that comment about being friends always got a little giggle out of me--she kept putting up the distance (Aquarius) when maybe she just wanted family (Cancer) :-(

Blanche was SO calm and rational--definitely earthy qualities. The only time she really freaked is when the dinner got sent up! O_O!!

You know Alison may have been an Aquarius I think....she revealed things about herself out of shock value--she marched to beat of her own drummer! And was independent from the group mostly until the ending, but its clear she wants to be friends with them.

She also called it like she saw it with Andy: "You do everything anyone ever tells you to do! THAT is a problem!" BOLD! LOL.

@ lotus_Flower

exactly!~

the part that always had me half in tears/half in stitches --- the very end~ on the beach~~~

what a way to end a film <3

they don't make 'em like those ladies anymore!!! ;;

I think I see Libran/Virgoish qualities in Blanche because - exactly the dinner-- it's a health thin/wastefulness --- but the Libra energy perhaps in that she could just have easily been the star of the family, and she took on a very stage-mom persona with older Baby Jane~ I forget the quote --- but there's a part in the film where she is called out for suggesting that Jane may become a star again.

I could definitely see Allison with Aqua/Uranus effects~ maybe with a Taurus Moon~~ since she sat back, like you said, observing the crowd so long, before actually joining it. ~~ lol~

I still /drool over Emilio in that movie =x shhhh~ so embarrassing.

Judd's acting was so underrated, he's done several films, I know... but it seems either he only gets certain roles, or takes on cameos... I did love Cabin By the Lake/Return to Cabin By the Lake~~~ but, you'd think he'd have gone on to be a much bigger name. ^m^;

Dren, from the movie "Splice".

I get strong Pisces vibes from her, Pisces Moon, maybe.

I can't leave it at just one.

Kyle Reese from "The Terminator" - I get strong Pisces from him, because of his sensitivity.

Sarah Connor from "The Terminator" - She's pretty quirky in the first movie before the whole Terminator drama starts, even has a pet iguana named "Pugsley" - definitely Aquarius

Legs Sadovsky from "Foxfire" - Aquarius with Mars angular

Luca Carolla and Georgio Carolla (from "La Bella Mafia") - Luca has to be Libra and Aquarius with a strong Pluto and some f*ked up Uranus squares; Georgio has to be Libran with a lot of Virgo and Sag, for his love of books and learning

Sophia Luciano from "La Bella Mafia" - An almost pure Scorpio and Libra combo.

Billie Jean from "The Legend of Billie Jean" - Libra, ("FAIR IS FAIR!") with Aquarius

Barbara from the "Night of the Living Dead" remake - dunno, but Moon-Pluto because when it gets down to the wire, she's strong when she has to be and winds up outliving everybody

Deanie Loomis from "Splendor in the Grass" Pisces and Libra combo

Daisy Clover from "Inside Daisy Clover" (Leo-Aquarius axis, all the way)

V from "V for Vendetta" Libra, for that "dashing romantic hero" element; Aquarius for the humanitarian element to his personality; Scorpio for the revenge-driven aspect of his character

Evie from "V for Vendetta" - Cancer with strong Pluto

Selena from "28 Days Later" - Scorpio with a prominent Mars

I know I'm forgetting some...

Rose Dewit Bukater- I think she was a libra with aries in the mix with Sagittarius. The reason I chose this sign because of her beauty and her love for art and adventure and she was a very sassy women. I think each of those sign represent her.

Jack Dawson- I will say his a scorpio with aquarius in the mix with gemini. He had a way of seeing people kind of like knowing here true motive and i think that has to be with him being dominated with either scorpio or pluto. Then he had this joie de voire of life i think that would had to be either a aquarius or Sagittarius. He seem to have the gift of gab which is something Gemini are well know for in my opinion.

Creasy from Man On fire- I think his a sun in pisces or cancer because he seems like a big teady bear lol. He must have scorpio or aries in the mix .

I have quite a few... because I love analyzing people. Even fictional people.

Howl from Howl's Moving Castle: Sun in Pisces in the 11th [he hated war and senseless violence], Moon in Leo in the 9th [quite dramatic with showy clothing, always on the move]; Venus in Pisces conjunct Sun [always searching for the best love, Libra-like, and a dreamer]; Mars in Libra [ran away rather than fought], Jupiter in Leo [Leo influence is for his need for shiny things + need to be beautiful]

Haku from Spirited Away: Sun in Aquarius in H8 [for the water bearer since he was a water spirit, but too aloof for an actual water sign so this fits]; Moon in Capricorn H6; Moon semi-square Saturn; Mercury in Capricorn semi-square Saturn; Mercury conjunct Moon [very intelligent, emotionally removed but sensitive, serious]

Angelina Chase from MSCL: Sun in Aries H4; Moon in Pisces H7; Venus in Libra trine Neptune; Mercury in Virgo; Mars in Aquarius

Nina Sayers from Black Swan: Sun in Aquarius; Moon in Virgo [a given!!!] opposite Chiron and Saturn; Moon square Pluto [for psycho mommy]; Venus in Virgo [definitely, because these people can hold out but have a kinkier side underneath the control]

Lisa Rowe from Girl, Interrupted: Sun in Aries; Moon in Gemini square Pluto + Saturn; Pluto conjunct Saturn in the 12th; Moon in the 8th house; Capricorn ASC sextile Venus, square Uranus; Uranus square Mercury

Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas: Sun in Libra; Moon in Pisces; Venus conjunct Neptune [for her intense desire for a dreamy love]; Moon trine Venus-Neptune

I love Nina Sawyers because I can relate to her somehow. I def. saw Virgo in her but also some afflicted Scorpio/Pluto since she was restricting her sexuality and metamorphasis into the darker side. Why do you think her Sun is in Aquarius? The whole transformation into the black swan appealed to me in a Scorpio way. I watch that movie like every month X_X

fav movie characters
robert deniro in "goodfellas" -sun i leo asc cancer
michelle pfieffer as catwoman, and as lea in "cheri" - taurus, gemini rising. i'm obsessed with her.

tom hardy as eames in "inception" and in "wuthering heights". hes a virgo, with libra and leo placements

marlon brando in "the wild one" , hes an aries with moon in aries.but i also like his real life persona as well.

fav tv show character. hands down DAMON SALVATORE, who is played by ian somerhalder.. hes alll fire (4 planets in sag, moon in aries, venus in scorp)

i love vince vaughn in ANYTHING. i find him soooo attractive. even in that ridiculous movie "psycho" hes still hot in that movie LOL. hes an aries with asc in libra

i usually like leonardo dicaprio movies, but his characters never really captivate me. however, i LOVE looking at that mans face! my goddd.

but my fav fictional character over any other, happens to be a book character. his name is "Vishous", from the Black dagger brotherhood series. i am MADLY obsessively in love with him. and it ****** me off to no end that he doesn't exist in real life lol. dont know his placements, even though the author says hes an "aries" if you've read the books, including his you KNOW he is anything but aries. hes more like a HEAVY pluto/scorpio type. with some saturn in there.

Ah man, I ADORE this film, actually have a collage I did of it in my spare time in my room for it. 8'D I just love the imagery and the direction. I thought Sun in Aqua for some reason because she has a very odd personality, also she lead into being schizophrenic and I read once that by fact Aqua people are the most likely to go into a mental institution... I guess that influenced my choice. But I totally see what you mean about Scorpio influences. I can see Nina having the asteroid Hygeia [sp?] conjunct her Sun, and her Sun in the 6th which shows odd perfectionistic tendencies, and makes her Sun Virgoan as well.

I initially said Moon-Pluto but I can most definitely see her with 12H Pluto as well, since many people with Eating disorders like Nina have this placement. I can see other Pluto afflictions possible like you said. I also thought now perhaps she had Venus-Saturn? Because she was very sexually self-controlled.

I think 12H Pluto is my fave possibility out of all these for Pluto afflictions... since Pluto here is in a pretty difficult spot and also represents hidden power struggles in the mind... during her psychotic break she was probably going through these transits, Uranus sq. Venus and Mercury, Venus opp. Pluto, Merc. square Pluto exact. I like Merc-Pluto square for her natal chart too since it shows obsessive thinking. We can connect Mercury as the Moon's ruler for her which can add to more Pluto influences! You made an excellent point about Scorpio being needed for her chart since the entire movie is about the metamorphosis into her own dark side.
