I don't know how to explain my question, so here's the thought process behind it: I looked up Selena Gomez's sun sign because I read how she was best friends with Taylor Swift. To no surprise, she's a Leo. Then I looked up Justin Bieber's sun sign and saw he's a Pisces. Although I can see the similarities between Pisces and Leo in my mind, the fact that Pisces is a water element and Leo is fire should have been a deterring factor taking what I've learned from astrology so far. Then I thought about how Leo is ruled by the Sun, and Pisces is ruled by Jupiter, and I wondered if regardless of the element if there are certain planets that get along with and are drawn to one another, and certain planets that are repelled by each other. I assume Jupiter gets along with all the planets and doesn't negatively affect them even when aspected harshly (in my mind when I say negatively affect I'm thinking of attitude and personality - not health or education even though that came to mind afterward.) For instance, Taurus and Cancer are both at home in the Moon. So it would make sense they get along with Venus signs - other Tauruses and Libras, because these are both feminine planets. But if you tried pairing Moon with Mercury (Virgo and Gemini)- do you think there'd be confusion and miscommunication? Hope my question isn't too all over the place! Maybe I "stumbled" on something others have already known for awhile. IP: Logged |

Taylor and Selena are friends because Taylor has a Sag sun with Leo asc and Selena is aries asc/aries moon and Taylor swift has a cancer moon that complements Selena's cancer sun. Justin Bieber who was a Pisces with what I believe to be a scorpio asc so water and water. Personally I don't get along with Taurus and Cancer women. So the moon connection with taurus and cancer doesn't work for me. Planet dominants plays a role. IP: Logged |

I don't think astrology gives quinx enough credit.. Its.considered minor... I think they are stronger.than its.considered..Its harmony yet needs some balance.. Its.not as easy as a sextile and not as harsh as a square.. But still adds some spice to it.. for the record, i have.noticed leos/pis have a thing more than Leo/scrop..
I also notice leos with pis placements and pis with Leo placements a lot!. IP: Logged |

I think I know what you're getting at!If you go by pairings, the Moon would go best with the Sun, Jupiter with Saturn, etc. Jupiter wouldn't get along with Pluto, though, I think. Or maybe, by pairings, they wouldn't get along...? IP: Logged |

Oh, I was just saying what signs the moon compliments or fits better - which would be Taurus and Cancer as far as I know. I didn't mean those two signs would get along just because they share the moon. And then is Selena on the cusp then? Different sights say she's a Leo, but you're right she's a Cancer. I also didn't know or take into account their ASC. or ASC in general when asking. IP: Logged |

Yeah something along these lines Although I'm curious why you think Jupiter wouldn't get along with Pluto either? Or why the Sun would go best with the moon? I would think the Moon and Venus or Moon and Jupiter would go well together, but the Sun would go best with Uranus or Saturn. Venus and Neptune might go well together although it'd have the potential to be a lazy, lazy pairing lol.

There`s no harmony with the quinkunx. But there are no big clashes like with the square either. But the absence of loud clashes doesn´t equal harmony. Quinkunx signs have nothing in common (neither element nor modality), they do not naturally harmonize, but can learn a lot from each other. IP: Logged |

I once read a table in a book by Jessie Adler Gral about the natural affinities between planets. Maybe I will find it again, when I am home. I am not really sure Moon and Sun would go along best, or Jupiter and Saturn. BUT they are complimentary pairings, so in a way they need each other or complement each other. But their differences still will make for some spice along the way.
