Hello everyone. I figured out how to find my Pullen planetary rankings on astro.com. But I can't understand the results. Here is my chart: http://i1277.photobucket.com/albums/y496/KMcAlpine10/astro_2gw_01_kiernan_mcalpine_73666_36598.gif And here are Pullen's delineations: Planet: Position Aspects Total Rank Percent Sun: 30.0 ( 7) + 9.6 (10) = 39.6 ( 9) / 6.3% Moon: 65.0 ( 3) + 12.7 ( 6) = 77.7 ( 3) / 12.3% Mercury: 71.0 ( 2) + 12.3 ( 7) = 83.3 ( 2) / 13.2% Venus: 48.5 ( 4) + 11.4 ( 8) = 59.9 ( 5) / 9.5% Mars: 42.5 ( 5) + 28.2 ( 1) = 70.7 ( 4) / 11.2% Jupiter: 88.5 ( 1) + 24.4 ( 2) = 112.9 ( 1) / 17.8% Saturn: 28.5 ( 8) + 13.8 ( 4) = 42.3 ( 8) / 6.7% Uranus: 25.0 ( 9) + 23.8 ( 3) = 48.8 ( 6) / 7.7% Neptune: 35.0 ( 6) + 10.2 ( 9) = 45.2 ( 7) / 7.2% Pluto: 10.0 (11) + 12.9 ( 5) = 22.9 (10) / 3.6% Chiron: 7.0 (12) + 0.0 (11) = 7.0 (12) / 1.1% Node: 22.0 (10) + 0.0 (12) = 22.0 (11) / 3.5% Total: 473.0 + 159.3 = 632.3 / 100.0% Sign: Power Rank Percent - Element Power Percent Aries: 34.3 ( 9) / 5.4% - Fire: 191.8 / 30.3% Taurus: 68.2 ( 3) / 10.8% - Earth: 145.5 / 23.0% Gemini: 67.5 ( 4) / 10.7% - Air: 148.5 / 23.5% Cancer: 90.1 ( 2) / 14.2% - Water: 146.6 / 23.2% Leo: 10.5 (12) / 1.7% Virgo: 47.5 ( 5) / 7.5% - Mode Power Percent Libra: 41.9 ( 6) / 6.6% - Cardinal: 195.9 / 31.0% Scorpio: 20.2 (11) / 3.2% - Fixed: 138.1 / 21.8% Sagittarius: 147.0 ( 1) / 23.2% - Mutuable: 298.3 / 47.2% Capricorn: 29.7 (10) / 4.7% Aquarius: 39.1 ( 7) / 6.2% Pisces: 36.4 ( 8) / 5.7% Total: 632.3 / 100.0% What's confusing me is how Sun ended up ranked 9th. My analysis shows Sun as the strongest planet in this chart due to placement and aspects it makes. Mars seems very strong as well. It makes sense for Jupiter to be strong here but I don't see it being more so than these other two. Could anyone offer some guidance or explanation as to whether the Pullen results make sense? I've noticed people generally rely on Pullen here when discussing planetary dominants. I'm inclined to discuss mine in terms of results I've gotten from other analysis, but if there is something about my chart that I'm not noticing that makes Pullen's conclusions accurate, then I am all ears! Jupiter, which rules Sag, is in Sag alongside two others planets also in Sag. It makes a major aspect to your 9th house (Sag-like) Sun. All of this combines to make Jupiter your strongest planet, and Sag your strongest sign.Sun doesn't get respect, because it's in a sign squaring the sign the Sun rules: Leo. IP: Logged |

So the fact that Leo is in the 12th and Sun is at the end of the 9th house, conjunct the 10th, is enough to completely undermine everything the Sun is doing in the chart? That's an interesting idea, but I haven't ever read anything in astrological literature that supports the idea that the Sun is weak for all Tauruses. IP: Logged |
