Hello everyone. I wanted to talk about the inability to communicate your words. Or perhaps, words being not good enough to convey how you feel. I am considered a "witty" person but that is typically when I am not serious. I can only speak quickly and clearly if it is in a joking, sarcastic manner. Or on the lighter side; in a faniciful playful way. When I am in a situation where I am unable to joke or must be serious there is suddenly a block and words are not enough. The real me can only truly communicate in energies and emotions. I feel to communicate clearly I can really only be funny/entertaining/witty surface level. If I am in control of the situation, I can fool people into having them think I am an excellent communicator. But if it leaves my control and it switches from serious to light I shutdown. It takes way too much energy.(I literally feel like the words can almost be stuck inside my body.) So it is one extreme or the other. This has caused lots of issues. I feel stuck inside myself. I am tired of questiong whether I am being a fake all the time. Ami Anne mentioned it had something to do with my Chiron (in retrograde) in my 5th house of Gemini. I would like to know if other people feel this way?
(Chiron is really the only thing I have in an air sign.)
I am a Capricorn Sun/Scorpio Moon/Capricorn Rising.

Hi bridgetostars,

Do you have mercury in capricorn.
I find this situation common among mercury in cap people.

If you post your chart we can look at the aspects.

It may still be the Saturn effect. 10 degrees is considered as a conjunction even if it's not a tight one the mercury-saturn conjunction would still affect you. I'll keep on analyzing.

Capricorn rising itself may have difficulty communicating on it's own. But, not only that, you have Sun in the twelfth, which can be bad (usually) for self-expression. Now, about Mercury, maybe the square to Mars has something to do with it?

Mercury sqaure mars usually leads to aggresive and impulsive talking but I'm not sure if it makes communication difficult.

Thanks, both of you.

Reading up on the Mercury saturn conjunction and it is a big part of it, yeah. It talks about having a censoring effect. And then the mercury square mars aspect would possibly account for my quick reaction to a comment ("that's what she said" type phrases). I guess those two aspects are battling each other. Or sometimes together. Like I'll say something quickly and then think about it for hours. But I don't know if this goes to the root of it.

Your mercury is also conjunct the fixed star Shaula. It's an unfortunate star and I've read it somewhere that it causes difficulties in the areas of the affected house or planet, in this case it's your mercury.

jupitersgirl; I brought that up because of the signs. A Sagittarius/Pisces square is likely to fumble and trip over itself. With Mars in Pisces, I'd imagine confusion or being lost of words. The Sagittarius Mercury wants to respond and be active, but the Pisces Mars would be pressured and emotive. So instead of words, you might get feelings being spurned out with a mouth that can't capture them.

Hmm...the keywords were
"Danger, desperation, immorality and malevolence, connected with acid poisons, aids victory in sieges, destruction of seafarers & captives, exorcism, mesmerism, spiritual pressure towards enlightenment".

That is a pretty good description. But how come if I "flip a switch" I can kind of just decide to play the entertainer role and although I am not truly expressing myself the struggle kind of disappears. I'm wondering if that is somewhere in my chart.

Yes somethingexcellent, I agree with what you say about signs. I can relate to that, I have sag sun square pisces moon, not the same planets but the effect is similar in other ways. It's confusing.

I can relate to this also bridget. I tend to skip from point A to point D forgetting others don't know B and C. Have a really hard time relating to people on messaging boards, but when it comes to a phone... I can talk for hours at a time.

Being the baby of my family I learned fast to entertain. When things get serious, I have a way of lightening up the situation. I'm mentally disturbing sometimes tho lol Blame it from growing up with 2 Sagittarian parents...Was raised by blunt people. Ma can I have a dollar? *Opens up purse* Do you see a dollar in my wallet? Dad can't stop telling me his sexual relationship with my Ma like I give a damn.

I speak best in emotions. You got a lot of Water. Mercury in Sag has hoof in the mouth syndrome. Accidently says too much and makes others feel uncomfortable and insecure. THAT Makes you feel out of place because we all want to be understood and accepted. So as with any Sag, you escape into the world of higher thoughts. Humor and wit are both Sagittarian traits. In my family its if we make fun of you, then your part of the family. Optimism and expansion is what Sag is about. They don't want to deal with Saturn restrictions. And being you have Uranus conjunct Mercury your a natural iconoclast. You like to destroy and reconstruct the people you communicate around you. Its not being fake... Its being able to unmask, and unveil peoples orthodox views and beliefs. You actually see in other ways that people cannot even fathom because your mind is future oriented.

-Always stand up for your belief, even if it means standing alone.

Well Im done ranting lol

Chiron in Gemini... And Left-handed I'm screwed lol

It has to be the Capricorn, for sure. Also, having a Scorpio Moon plus all that you Capricorn influence makes one very private. Your feelings are intense and strong, but have difficulty expressing the depth of your passion to somebody. I feel your pain...For this reason, Capricorns and Scorpos alike, take on a hobby or career in the Arts for a form of expression. Capricorns will take forever or maybe never to be able to be ever comfortable expressing their emotions, but Scorpio, although private, can learn much easily to manifest their emotions in a more positive way. I also have Chiron in Gemini, in the 12th house. So I can relate very much to difficulty communicating. I think at the root of all this, it's important to forgive oneself and not be so hard...Try to speak with convinction and work on the anxiety in your view of this...Eventually it'll work itself out. If anything, be grateful for the Scorpio Moon. It gives a person the will power and power to bounce back (transform themselves).

Hm, that's quite a question...I would thinkkkk it might be either you're playing to the positive side of your square, since Sagittarius and Pisces can be silly and humorous signs, but it might also be the Capricorn. I find Capricorns to be quite funny actually! Whether they're being sarcastic, satirical, etc.
If someone else knows, feel free to listen to them or whatever haha! I'm less sure about this response than I am my other,

i would actually say it is because you have neptune conjunct sun.(and aspecting moon)

i have neptune opposite moon, merc and mars and my neptune is in capricorn.

the only times i feel like i am at a block for words , i feel like it is neptune messing with me. I feel it is because neptune touches everyhting with some magic and so when you are in a more focused or serious environment, you feel trapped(like you cant be free anymore). Where you normally excel at expressing youself you feel blocked and caged. I try and think have mastered this with not looking at it that way, as in "this is too serious". Just look at it as if it is nothing, dont think about what can go wrong but what can go right.

This is something I saw one day on my sisters facebook wall and it just clicked...

" Dont take life too seriously, nobody gets out alive anyway."

Whoa. That unmasking comment kind of blew my mind. I have never thought of it in that way, in such a positive light. Thanks.

I really love the Neptune influence. Before I even started to know what that meant I felt it. I love the magic! It's odd to technically be a Capricorn and honestly be a very head in the clouds person. If I could channel the Neptune influence somehow in my life that would be great!!

I love it too. It is like this, you can see wonderland while everyone just sees land. Its an advantage you should mix in to eveything you do because i think it makes you an optimistic if channelled the right way.

I have trouble with verbal communication sometimes. It largely depends on who I'm communicating with, but I always communicate through writing way better than spoken word. Especially if I'm put on the spot, my words can utterly fail me. I never feel I'm using the correct words to aptly describe what I want to convey.

I have a severely afflicted Mercury - it is squared by Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. You have hard aspects to most of those planets too. Saturn can be a great mental inhibitor when in hard aspect to Mercury.

It's much easier for me to write too. Although I have kind of given up the creative type for awhile. I think this will be a good time to pick it back up.

Thanks everyone for your responses. It has helped.
