A question for those who have Mars in the astrological sign of Libra:

I never really realized just how challenging this position is and how much it actually contributes to inner tension and turmoil.

When it comes to making a decision, I tend to stall and second-guess myself; perhaps I should have taken this route..Or maybe that one..But which one is the right one? Which one is the true one? Etc

My boss says that it can make me come across as lacking in self-confidence hinging on indecision. But at times, when I do feel strongly about something, he is surprised at how passionate and assertive I can be about that particular thing.

The thing is, I see both sides as valid and sometimes an error in judgment can seem to have far-reaching consequences. It’s not that I ma looking to “serve” all interested party members to this decision I make, but that I am looking for a decision that I will not regret and wonder, like Neo in the Matrix, “what if I’d take the blue pill”? Etc.

So, for those of you who have Mars in Libra, are you always sure and assertive of your choices?

When it comes to the big stuff of life like choosing to associate with certain people or not, choosing to make a certain investment or not etc. I make those decisions easily.

But God, don’t give me 3 pizza flavours and ask me to choose(without sampling all three) or tell me that I have to make a decision about something I have no idea about on the whim. That freaks me out!

I also have Mars in Libra. Far from being a liability, I've found that using this aspect helps me when making an expensive purchase, like the cellphone I just bought.

The key to making quick decisions off the top of your head is to be as prepared as possible. Indecision occurs when I don't quite know what to do, so I weigh my options. Working for the government, which involves a lot of quick decisions, has taught me to know the basics, and to make a decision based on general knowledge.

Trusting your intuition more helps as well. Often your first instinct is the right one.

I'm not always sure if my decisions are the right ones, but making mistakes are part of life. I've learned more from my horrible mistakes than some of my good actions.

My Scorpio buddy has this!!!!! Drives me INSANE. I am am Aries: Sun, Mercury, Venus and even with Mars in Gemini in the 12H I still make decisions faster than she does. You ask her a point blank question and you get the "Uhm ... I don't know..." How do you not know?! You know! Or where to eat: "I don't know what do you want?" Except I'm not a picky eater like her. Its a really good placement for someone that doesn't mind taking orders but god forbid a President of the US ever have Mars in Libra! We'd be stuck in limbo for years!

Bill Gates has Mars in Libra. So does the Dalai Lama. Just because you have a so-called detriment doesn't mean you unable to act. It just makes you more methodical in taking action.

I have Mars in Libra. I do blame my indecision on that placement. I used to think it meant I was also unassertive, but that must be because of something else.

Its worse to have mars in cancer, its debilitated and a very passive agressive placement if afflicted.
Mars in libra will get others do things for them. They won't be direct in conflict, and may use their charisma as a tactic to throw of their enemies. They may seem like cowards to some, but who ever said life was fair. Venus is very powerful planet.

best mate has it, one word: vacillation

but it's also conj his moon and pluto. he's always weighing up his past choices too, but i seem to be able to snap him out of it most times...

i think it definitely has value where an aries mars or moon jumps in head first without ANY forethought. a little thinking first is not a bad things, as long as it doesn't get put off forever, simply because you can't decide...

indecision isn't always a bad thing. yes it is annoying when this person can't make up their mind about things that don't require much thought. but then it also means you see both sides of the coin. its not like libra is incapable of making a decision. we just like to make sure we've made the RIGHT decision. we weigh all our options, to then make the best and most favorable decision we can. after all, there is a reason why libras are said to make great judges and lawyers and debaters. If they have a deadline, or if they are forced to choose something immediately, they can and will. and even then, they would have still considered all things before reaching a decision. an impulsive president is what NONE of us need actually. he is leading a country, and any move he makes needs to be well thought out. and he would need to consider what may be the consequences of each of his plans before executing them.
