I was looking at my children's charts and...well, two of my children have Pluto aspects to their Moon.

I'm a pretty chill Mom.
Really.

And the only thing my Pluto does in my chart is qx my Sun.

My middle child has Moon Sq Pluto.
My ex-husband has Moon opp Pluto.

My youngest has Moon sextile Pluto.
So does my husband.

According to most interpretations I've seen, there should be /something/ *intense* going on with me, right?
But this seems more like straight inheritance of tendencies.

Oh, and they're both Pisces Moons.
So, I'm also apparently supposed to die soon and/or they're supposed to be abused in short order, right?
Couldn't be that I'm a Pisces Sun

Harrumph, harrumph.

It's late and I can't remember which of my kids' charts has negative moon-Pluto...

But I just remember that tautomer, a former LL member, really loved his mom (talked about her a LOT) and he had moon opposing Pluto.

So that's all the "proof" I needed to console myself that it'll be okay with my child, too.

Of course!

Remember it also depends on what else is going on in the natal chart, a yin for the yang. Besides everything isn't meant to be taken literal if it were I'd be somethings.... I probably can't say in this forum

moon opposite pluto here.... moon/pluto isnt always soo dramatic as its made out to be, it can be bad at times though. me and mom fight alot but we are close for the most part. my mom has made me a pincushion for her rage times though.. when she was going through menopause and became psychotic she would tell me she hated me and wished i was never born and all sorts of horrible sh*t.

sand - Ah ha! Good question.

How far would we like to stretch "time of birth"?

Faith - Good to know there's someone with Moon/Pluto who loves their Mom

ail - Yeah...she actually has a pretty rough chart (aspect-wise). I'll chalk it up to the point brought up by sand.

Ouch. Sorry you went through that, aquaguy.

I hope I don't do that to my monkey.
I can't imagine it - she's this Taurus Sun with a heart-wrenching Pisces Stellium (including her Moon) in the 4th and an adorably goofy Saggi Asc.
She will destroy you with her cute.
(^So claim multiple friends.)

yea,my friend has moon square pluto and he has always had a good relationship with his mom until very recently....she has started drinking heavily and makes his life a living hell. it seems like moon/pluto can be a delayed thing.

I have moon square pluto & I am very close to my mom, she plays an important role in my life. I always got along with her, but it was during the teen years that things would get ugly. My mom is an old school religious prude who went to catholic school. So when she found out about one of my not so innocent secrets, I tell ya, all hell broke loose !! Moon sq. Pluto dosen't mean you won't get along with mom 24/7, it just means that sometimes when you get into arguments with mom.... things can get well..ugly. I rarely fight with her though.

Pluto/Moon can also indicate a deep emotional bond or a mother/home life that is instrumental to meaningful transformation. It is much more simple to read Pluto as the grim reaper, but there is a very beneficial, psychic, and connected side to Pluto, which the Moon can especially tap into.

I'd hate to be that person who corrects you, bu he has Moon/Pluto conjunct, so I fink that might make it bettah or someting.

The personal planet signs and aspect have nothing to do with who you think you are as a mother, but really, how your children experience maternal love/maternal parenting.

With Pluto contacts, they could consider/ see you as a very strong and involved mother(even if you are not projecting such as far as you are concerned).

My sibling and I have differing aspects to our Moon; this explains why we each have differing views of our mother/maternal figure/early home environment etc. People are not one dimensional but very layered.

My aspects involve a square with Mars whilst my Sister's involve a trine with Venus: She is very close to my mother and views her as a sweet person whilst I, on the other hand, see my mother as assertive and fiery etc.

The aspects they have , is how they "experience" childhood/family relationships and even you etc.

I always thought my Moon square Saturn was the influence of my turmoil/abuse/neglect from my mom.

My best friend has moon opposite pluto, they have the most amazing mother and son relationship I've ever seen.
There so much love and devotion.
He has a very calm disposition and so does his mother.
Remember moon is exalted in Taurus and pluto is in its own sign.
So its very powerful, and not bad at all.
I expect great things from my friend

I'm not sure about moon and aries and pluto in libra situation.

Don't blame this stuff on psychological astrology. It's the fault of astrologers like the one who wrote that "Hades Moon" book, that projected their own experiences onto everyone with the two planets in aspect to one another.

And then all the astrologers and astrology enthusiasts out there who don't have the placements and don't know the first thing about them, took it and ran with it as fact. Which is why now every single time someone mentions having a pluto-moon aspect, they immediately get asked what their mom 'did to' them.

I actually had someone tell me on a forum once that I was repressing something when I told them the truth, that I actually had a good mother. This person didn't know me or my mother from a hole in the wall, mind you...*blank stare*.

A lot of times people forget the most basic stuff where astrology is concerned. Like the fact that the moon symbolizes multiple things in a chart, just like all the other planets do. So moon-pluto can manifest in any number of ways. It could just mean the person has intense (pluto) emotions (moon), for example. It doesn't necessarily have to mean their mother manipulated them, dominated them, or slapped them around.

I don't fight with my mom. I actually get along with her very well. I thought moon/Pluto might have had to do with my eating disorder I went through for a while (it was part of a fixed tsquare) I have a friend with the same aspect part of a fixed tsquare too.

I think my mom is a wonderful mom. Sometimes I felt neglected though and she favored my little brother heavily. I am one of 4 but I do think it affected me the most bc I am the second youngest. In the same breath... I think she's wonderful. Any issue I have is deep deep under the surface and it comes to the surface maybe once a year. (I have ADHD but wasn't diagnosed until I was 20 when I was seeking help for eating disorder. I thought I had it when I was 13 but my mom never looked into it and just said that she wouldn't want me to be on medicine. It was less obvious for me bc I got really high marks in math and computer classes but couldn't pay attention on English or history etc. My little brother was a slow reader and was diagnosed when he was in middle school and was able to have treatment for it from a much earlier age. My life would be completely different I if I would have known what was going on with me with school earlier. But you know, everything happens for a reason)

She still favors him and is delusional. He can do no wrong. But I just forgive her for it
