What if one shows negative aspect and the other chart show the same planets as postive aspects? How does this balance itself out?IP: Logged |

The composite overpowers synastry, from what I've seen. A good composite can make "bad synastry" good. Say you have Mercury square Mars in synastry but Moon/Mercury conjunct in composite - you might have misunderstandings and fights, but you'll talk it out, make up, and it helps you to become more intimate and knowing of one another.IP: Logged |

okay. But there's not always good or bad synastry. some aspects may be good some may be bad. am talking about the same aspects that may be good in the synastry chart but bad in the composite and good aspects in composite but not so great in synastry.

Aspects between the same planets...Good aspect in composite makes up for what might be troublesome in synastry. Bad aspect in composite can be balanced by good synastry aspect. IP: Logged |

Good composite can redeem bad synastry.I am currently dating someone that I kept in the friend zone for a couple of years because I felt zero romantic/sexual attraction toward him. Our love planets(Venus and Mars) make no connection to each other or to planets like Pluto or Jupiter. We even had a venus square Unanus. Yuck... I remember taking a look at our synastry and thinking, not happening! I didn't even bother looking at the composite. He wanted me to be his girlfriend but I wasn't feeling it and I told him. He didn't run away and settled for being my friend. Friendship with him has been wonderful. We got very close to each other and he's been there for me when I hit rock bottom. Anyway, things started shifting about 6 weeks ago with the last eclipse in Scorpio which touched his Mercury, my Saturn and his Chiron. My progressed venus is also conjunct his natal sun/jupiter conjunction. When I felt the shift in the way I felt toward him, I went back to look at our chart and I saw that we had a very good composite, with Venus conjunct the descendant and once I decided to upgrade him from friend to boyfriend, it's been truly great. We have so much in common. He studies astrology too and this is the first boyfriend I've had with whom I can talk astro for hours. Damnit it's wonderful! IP: Logged |
