hmmm - because of the area I grew up in~ it's not like the boonies or anything but it's pretty darn close.... I started driving at 14, my dad was really.... suuuuch a great role model and valued the rules and regulations of the road soooooo much! hahahaha *not*So, I held out on actually getting my license until I was 20! But, I always had a car, truck, or bike (usually for off road). Nobody ever questioned the matter.... I was an excellent driver, although I have a bit of a lead foot! hah (I've only gotten one speeding ticket though! just one!!! honest!~ haha) but, I don't drive at all since coming to Canada... everything is in walking distance that I could possibly need, and there's too many alternate options for transit. >.<;
