What aspects would be responsible for this kind of behavior?
(I was wondering whether it is a Sagittarian thing)

Basically – on the one hand this person makes everything seem rosy and perfect and they promise several positive, happy things…
On the other hand – it’s kind of like signing a contract… because at the end of their “positivity” they add in disclaimers. They might not explicitly say it – but this is the general pattern..

First there’s the promise.. For example: “I promise to love you forever more!”

Then.. the disclaimer:
“Mr Sagittarius shall not, under any circumstances, be liable for any direct, consequential, incidental, indirect or special damages of any kind – or any damages whatsoever – including without limitation those arising from any decision made or action taken by Ms. Aries, in reliance upon the content of Mr. Sagittarius’ promises.”

It kinda kills the moment.

I read Sagittarius likes to have freedom. Could it have something to do with that?

That just sounds honest to me (which is, after all, a pretty typical Sag trait).

Would you rather they say they'll definitely be around FOREVER...and then feel like crap it that works out to not be the case?

I'd prefer to get a disclaimer than an over-the-top promise that can't be kept.

it sounds like a very, very pure Sadge...
(not a Sagittarius by Sun, but by majority... and I do this... lmao just being honest!)

darn it... my husband didn't come with disclaimers! XD really wish he would have though! he's king of procrastination and unfulfilled/broken promises!

I'd rather them say nothing at all - and go with the flow of life.. and whatever happens - happens.

I find this really paranoid.

I mean if I FEEL something today - then I'll be honest and tell the person how I feel.
If things change tomorrow - and one of us or both us get hurt - then whatever - such is life! sh*t happens.

I can see your point, Odette. If they don't really want something why even bring it up in the first place?
