LOL. I have the trine. I have lively conversation in my head even when am asleep.And the dreams are so vivid and weird. Once I dreamt I went to see a tarot card reader, I was asking the lady to read my cards, she told me why are you asking me to read your cards when you can read them yourself and suddenly it was me talking to myself. M-hm....this is also very beneficial! As are the Unicorns!
Jokes aside, a positive, for me, aspect to this is that during hard times I can easily find solace in my imaginary world. A less positive aspect would be that when I disappear, no one can reach me and I know that has frustrated many people incl my parents.

Mercury is my dominant planet, chart ruler... it aspects just about everything in my chart (minus the Sun, Venus, and Uranus). I have it in stellium with Neptune 1° cnj, and Jupiter 2° cnj. bQ my Moon 1°, Neptune 0°. The benefit of having it in conjunction, is having a rich imagination, a flair for poetic expression, a rich vocabulary, and a love for social harmony. It does seem to cause over idealizing, and gullibility... Neptune-Mercury people are seekers of harmony and fairness in their relations with the world, with the people they cherish, which is a good thing since we are people-people! Emotionally we tend towards rationalizing how we feel, and are usually good listeners, often very intuitive with recognizing the needs and ambitions of those we communicate with. The mind is a creative cauldron for Neptune-Mercury people, and it gives birth to some pretty outstanding works of art; enjoying a challenge with word plays, and creative reasoning, appreciating these gifts in others and the beauty of nature as caught by artists. Negatively, we are easily distracted, and have to focus our minds very often, and guard them against those who would easily manipulate us. Is there potential for us to tap into the psychic realm? I'd like to think so (of course I also believe this is an innate part of every being), if there are other indicators in your chart, that is... We're functioning with a higher Venusian vibration concerning the themes of Venus amplified then combined with Mercury's swift, rationalizing, and intellectual prowess... it goes almost without saying that you will experience moments of a deeper sense of perceiving, of connecting with others, and an intuitive feel of what is passing around us.... The negative side is always pushed to the forefront though... being gullible, being unrealistic, daydreaming, being passive aggressive or lazy, and failure to recognize the ill will of others/humanity before it is too late... I don't consider myself psychic... not by a long shot... but, I do consider myself intuitive. 
I find interpreting signs... anything, from body language, to tarot cards to simply sensing out energies... as usually, a reliable instinct, and source of information in my experience. Generally, I can predict someone's motives well, sometimes before even they realize them for themselves ... I can rationalize it as being intuition, find the logically reasoning in whatever they are aiming towards. Sometimes I find myself over empathizing with those around me, this too has to do with the conjunction I believe, as well as its other involvements in my chart...
It's also draining to use this intuition, for me... I would say. The best thing you can do is test yourself, learn more about the other connections these planets make in your chart... open yourself up to as many experiences as possible. And, also... in my experience, meditating, keeping harmony at your core, and guarding against negative "psychic" attacks are all fundamentally great training exercises, and vehicles to at least come closer to opening up your psyche to whatever latent intuitive abilities are already present within it. But, always guard yourself against musing too long on negatives, of letting your mind wander too far off, and of simply being unreasonable. or letting the wrong people influence you via clever manipulations of words or emotions. Focus, study, and find equilibrium.... For dealing with an over active imagination, and times when you are feeling high strung or drained.... write... creative writing is the greatest benefit of any strong Mercury placement, I believe... Neptune conjunct adds a deeper sense of beauty and compassion to these skills. IP: Logged |

I have this ..Mercury conjunct Neptune.I don't keep my imagination at bay. Actually, I wish it were more active. My anxiety level seems to kill my imagination..before I dealt with anxiety, I just let the thoughts and ideas flow and loved it. I daydream A LOT. I used to just drive around for hours daydreaming. I enjoy it. Sometimes I do have a hard time separating my fantasy world from reality. I think I do pick up on psychic cues. I am also a really good liar..although I prefer not to lie. I'm just good at it. I am also a gifted writer and while I hate writing poetry, I have been told that my prose is very poetic. IP: Logged |

i have a nice mercury placement in my chart with this aspect..Mercury in 1st House Capricorn
Mercury Conjunct Ascendant, Neptune, Saturn, & Venus
Mercury sextile Pluto & Midheaven
Mercury trine Moon
Mercury opposite Chiron I've always been very artistic and good with language, words, understanding new ideas, etc. from an early age. i know what people are talking about 2 words into what they're saying and solutions to complicated problems just flash in my mind like it's nothing. I think I'm definitely more on the psychic side, but with my Taurus Moon trining 6 planets on my capricorn ascendant i think it's more of a down to earth psychic nature. I daydream a lot, but more about practical stuff that i can get done during the day or short term goals that will help make long term goals happen.. my biggest interest is with music and with DJing i really get to express my creativity and imagination, and i hope that really get's to shine once i produce my own music.
