Pluto has just entered my 12th house. I feel a bit tired and somehow inclined to focus on my health. I have no planets in the 12th house.

I would like to know from your personal experiences and astrology expertise what to expect.

Also, how do I deal with 12th house issues? How do I understand and recognise them ..? I want to actively understand and deal, rather than encounter any surprises.

Looking forwards to everyone's advise.

Thank you in advance.

Hmm you are gonna have that planet in house 12 for a looooooong time, lol! Good news is, it's Pluto and unless it is hitting other natal planets or points by transit, or, it is a ruler of sun, moon or asc, it will not affect you too deeply. It could make you feel a bit out of control, like you have no personal power or influence over your environment. Pay close attention to what is going on around you and to power struggles with other people. You could use the transit to study psychology or criminology. Good transit for a medical student.

Will Pluto hit any of your personal planets?

If it hits the sun, you can find yourself involved in power struggles with your own ego. Make sure to not over power others by being too controlling. Could be a sabotaging influence in your life during this transit.

Particularly vulnerable if the aspect is a square, opposition, inconjunct (quincunx) or conjunction. The easy aspects (trine and sextile) will be a little less stressful but I find trine transits can cause a little stress. There is light at the end of the tunnel, at least. I had a couple of things happen under a trine transit to my natal sun from Capricorn transiting sun and it was not smooth sailing, exactly, but it is resolved, somewhat, for now. Hope it stays that way, haha. It's the only thing that leaves me with a slight apprehension...

With moon, Pluto is aligned with family and emotions, women in your life, your home. Could be a time when you experience some emotional events of a profound nature with the women or children in your home, or you could become the one who is emotionally controlling of others at this time. 12 house means it could be an undoing of some kind, not good for you, so be aware of the inclination.

I assume no conjunctions will be involved since you have no 12 house planets so we are talking about all the other aspects, not conjunctions, which is good because conjunction is the strongest.

You might feel like

a) your personal power is sealed away at this time
b) you must be more manipulative and behind-the-scenes to get what you really want
c) you feel that in doing b), you still don't always get what you want anyway
d) you could become a little guilty about sexual issues or manipulative behaviors

It could be a combo of all 4. I have it in my natal chart. The 12th house seals away things for reasons... for life lessons! It is there for a purpose. You are going to have a hard time conquering what Pluto and personal Scorpio power means to you right now. Do you have any Scorpio planets in your natal? This will make that planet tied into the scheme of things too. At this point in your life you must learn about what self-empowerment really is, and NOT fall into underhanded and sneaky behaviors to control others or use low tactics to succeed. This house is karmic. You will get payback for it by the universe, or at least feel bad about yourself.

Make sure to recognize that at this time, you might feel like you have no say in certain things, and that the strong side is locked away... but it isn't true. In fact, the universe is putting your Pluto in the 12th because this planet is SO strong inside you that if it was out for all to see, in the 1st or 2nd for example, it might be too strong or detrimental to yourself and/or others. So you really do have strength within. Just learn to channel it for healing purposes. You might make psychological breakthroughs at this time, see yourself in a new light, deal with overcoming anxiety, etc.

Health is sixth house.

I skimmed some of the responses you've been getting and honestly they don't match with what I've read on the internet about Pluto through the twelfth, nor my own experiences (I currently have Pluto going through the 12th).

I've read about issues with "secret enemies" during this transit - people doing things to try and harm you or make your life difficult, behind your back, things you're either totally oblivious to or have very little idea about. And that's absolutely been true for me personally. Remember that Pluto is just a higher vibration of Mars anyway, so course it can play out as hidden (12th house) forms of aggression from others.

Basically, expect people to try and make your life difficult. But really it's not hard to handle at all, and besides, in the end when it's all over, you get Pluto conjunct your ascendant (and in the first house), and then *THE WORLD IS YOURS*, basically.

12 house is self undoing, too. I look at it from a self undoing perspective. Pluto involves power struggles. Of course, I do not know if transiting Pluto will aspect any of her natal planets.

As to the house itself, this is a time when you find your personal inner power. Maybe through power struggles with others, or "life", but these are catalysts. If you proactively go within you can avoid the nasty confrontations. If you resist, it can be v hard for you.

Planets aspected by this transit will bring up the issues that instigate change by matters related to those planets, and yes the 6th house and health issues may be part of this, or transformation of how you "serve" the greater collective/people around you...

Imo of course!

Thank you all for your responses. Pluto is still going thro' my 12th house and right now Pluto is trining my Saturn in Virgo in house 7.

I have had one experience of being singled out for competition by someone at work. I somehow didn't trust him from the beginning but he befriended me and then certain actions of his made me realise that he considers me competition, and strives to move ahead of me in everything, even in out social group at work. It is strange bcoz he already earns twice my salary, is at a higher position than me, yet he was insufferable when I received good work. He was out of control at that time sending demeaning images and now despite his behavior he seems to have moved further ahead of me, taking on a project that I'm a part off.

This bothers me bcoz if he's in charge, I feel he will not let me move ahead.

His gloating looks have been unbearable and I am keeping my distance from him.

I'm also have the following transits right now:

Saturn conj MC in house 10 (in Scorpio)
Saturn conj Uranus in house 10 (in Scorpio)
House 6 Jupiter trine MC and Uranus
Saturn square Sun, Mars and Mercury in house 1 (in Aquarius)

Any advice on what I can do?

That's also what I'm going through right now. A bunch of frame-ups, power struggles, and hidden enemies slandering me. And me being unemployed does not help, because even if I don't meet new people, the people slandering me are from my past. Like teenage past! And I have zero influence on people too. No thanks as well to my natal, transit, and progressed asteroids to compound the problem, like Kassandra, Pinochio (rumors), etc. I also have progressed Sun opposition Pluto from 2010 to 2030, so the power struggles won't stop anytime soon! So I wonder if there would be any improvents if Pluto would enter my 1st house with my progressed Sun still opposing Pluto.

The 12th house is also the house of hidden talents and treasures and it's were you pore your energy freely into and the more you pore energy into this hidden talent the stronger it becomes.

I have Pluto in the 12th and it has always felt like I am not in control but the universe is clearly in charge, this causes anxiety about the unknown and as a Scorpio riser this is very uncomfortable position bc you want to be in control of your immediate surroundings and feel in control in general but pluto in the 12th wants to teach you to surrender, go with the flow, have faith, let go and radical acceptance.

I have it in the 12th conjunct Saturn and am a therapist. It can give a fascination with the subconscious, what controls and drives people and seeking for the truth that is hidden but it does that on a very intuitive level. It's fascinated with the occult and psychology and the forces of nature or cosmic laws that put everything in motion bc pluto in the 12th does not feel in control and feels a higher power of sorts is really in control. However through this understanding and if asked with real faith this position is good for using the law of attraction to get your heart's desire but you might just end up also having to endure losing what you desire so this power seems to come with a price..

You will probably have access to past life dreams that bring to your attention certain karmic themes with this transit..

You will be confronting fears and clearing out stuff in your subconscious during this transit and processing trauma, you will be forced to deal with your stuff and look at yourself more closely and honestly, there will be a lot of self reflection, self reflection can become an addiction.

My friend also has Pluto in the 12th natally, and she also told me what you said, that if she wants something, it seems to happen just because she wanted it fervently! She's also prone to seeing images of people she doesn't know whether her eyes are open or not, I guess that's how psychics see things. That has happened to me but I'm always on the brink of sleeping, so I wouldn't really know if I'm just about to dream or something.

Hang in there. I haven't read all of this thread yet, so I'm responding just to the initial question, rather than all of the opinions.

Pluto went into my 12H over a year ago, and has retrograded backwards into the 11th and into the 12th a couple of times. My experiences with it have been very intense, but I am trying to get comfy with it because, after all, it will hang out there for a long time.

My sun and Jupiter are both in the 12th house. I hate this sometimes as it is, but in short, Pluto entering the house with those guys has shaken up the core of who I am and who I want to be and has forced me to reckon with the latter big time.

Before it went into 12h, I was in a job I was clinging to. I was laid off shortly afterwards. This launched me into a certain kind of go mode where I was aggressive about wanting to get what I wanted out of my career. I up and moved to Amsterdam, Netherlands for an opportunity. That move (the best of my life) led me to take a career track unlike anything I thought I wanted. Now I've scrapped my previous career track - a 25 year ambition and dream - and started my own health and wellness company with three of the most powerful girls I've ever known. I am officially a Founder of this company. That never would have happened if I hadn't been FORCED out of the role I thought I wanted - and I know Pluto did this. Personal power. It revealed what was holding me back, and it was the very thing I thought I wanted. Holy cow.

In the meantime, my finances took a massive hit, but in an oddly (again) empowering way. I stopped fearing money. I stopped fearing my debt. I became a little bit wicked about it - talking to banks frankly and saying "well, this is what I make. You can either work with this amount or not." and having to default on payments for the first time in my life in order to keep striving. This will no longer be an issue soon, but it was - at the darkest point of this past year -one of the scarier things.

My relationship, which had been very manipulative and secretive, came to light during this time and I was forced to end things because he wouldn't. I had to trust my intuition and eventually all things revealed themselves in a big way. He HAD been cheating on me. He DID lie to me. all the fears and suspicions I had about him WERE true. This made me anxious for awhile until I realised how empowering that was and was grateful to the universe. It was a blow to my ego (Sun), but the greater part of me saw "Wow, thank God I know this stuff."

Look, Pluto is not a soothing energy. It is an almost alien power when it strikes, in my experience. It's strange, uncomfortable, restless. It shows something even bigger underneath the surface. What you fear is usually what will be revealed during this time, in my experience, but not in a cruel way. Yes, life is scary. If you freeze up in an area of your life you are the MOST insecure about, Pluto will touch that area (no matter how much you deny feeling that way about that area), and will unleash what needs to be changed, whether or not you think you want to.

I know these next several years will be filled with changes, but I'm honestly looking forward to them. So try not to let this scare you - find ways of leaning into the energy and trusting that if things are swiftly changing/happening, they're meant to be and for the greater good in your life.

Thank you for your insight & analysis.

In reply to your query above, I have natal Uranus in Scorpio in house 10 (MC).

I have a Pluto square natal Pluto (in house 8 cusp of 9) coming up & a Uranus Opp Pluto (in house 8) coming up.

Thank you to everyone who replied.

I like the Law of Attraction bit. There's a lot that I desire right now & after the traumatic secrets revealed this year, I've had one major setback after another. If I can get my heart's desires despite all of this, it will be something to look forward to.

My current transits:

Saturn square natal Saturn (house 7 Virgo)
Neptune opp natal Saturn (house 7 Virgo)

Transits coming up soon:
Pluto square natal Pluto (house 8 Libra cusp of 9)
Uranus opp natal Pluto (house 8 cusp of 9)

Any advice on the upcoming devastation & if there's anything positive to anchor me?

I'm at the tail end of this. Pluto is still transiting my 12th and is currently conjunct my Ascendant. There are about four more months til it moves in the 1st and will be gone for good! (Although I think it will briefly retrograde back into it in 2018)

It is a very heavy transit, especially when it gets close to the Ascendant. I also have a stellium in the 12th: Saturn, Uranus, Neptune. Transiting Pluto conjunct natal Saturn can be notoriously difficult. It's like your worst fears come to life but in a way that empowers you. With the transit in the 12th, a lot of 12th House things have occurred in my life in a very powerful way: a lot of isolation, either self-imposed or because of circumstance, and the feeling of virtually getting pushed to the edge of sanity and almost losing my mind. And having to go through it all alone.

BUT, I wouldn't have traded this transit for anything. I feel like I worked through a lot of the denial and self-destructiveness that my 12th House planets had given me before. I will NEVER be the same person. It's like I've discovered so many things about myself that I had been running from. It's been a period of beautiful enlightenment that I'm still in the process of working toward. The trade-off has just been a lot of psychological, emotional challenges that, in the end, resulted in healing.

Basically, this transit can make you feel like you're powerless and I spent the past few years, actually, feeling like I just had no control over what was happening. In a way, you have to let go of control now and I've learned to do that in such a transformative way.

But, the sacrifice of the 12th House leads to amazing power and hidden talent. I've just recently realized how amazingly empowered I have become. I thought I was powerful before but I've tapped into a very deep well of it during this time, all because I was forced to look for it internally and not externally. So, I've learned a lesson that real power comes from deep within and is eternal, from the soul, something that no one or nothing can ever steal from you.

I also think the things I've gone through during this transit have led me to see how important it is to empower other people. So, you learn how to seek power in the world in a selfless sort of way.

I was betrayed by a close friend and felt extremely loss. School was unbelievably stressful to the point where my classmates were committing suicide. My life basically felt like it was falling apart. Nothing I planned turned out the way I wanted. I felt extremely lost and cried pretty much every day. Pluto was transiting my first house for a while, but it has slipped back in the 12th house. The good news is you don't notice anything different when you are at the tail end of the transit, but the first two thirds of the transit is horrible. I didn't gain anything beneficial from this transit. It only made me even more cynical (if that's even possible) and now I have trust issues.

I have this placement in my natal chart. I still don't quite understand what Pluto in 12th house is supposed to indicate.

This transit depends alot on the sign and planets. 12th Scorpio, uranus squaring moon. My transit started right before puberty. Painful, wishing I wasn't born. The first half was unbearable. You get used to it by the second part. I focused on academics. Singleminded. A dark and scary transit. Awareness of power and motivations.

You might feel helpless now. You'll be a different person after this transit. Pluto transiting 1st is powerful. Sow your seeds now.
