What does a statement like this mean?

"Sun midpoint Chiron in Cancer"

Midpoints are the halfway point between two planets or planet and angle , planet an node etc Midpoints are used in predictive work. They are phrased like this.:

Venus=Sun/Chiron at 12 degrees Cancer

That is to say

Venus is aspecting the Midpoint between Sun and Chiron at 12 degrees Cancer

Noel Tyl has written many books on midpoints and solar arcs. You can also generate a midpoint chart at astro.com

The Noel Tyl book on solar arcs does not list the meaning of the Sun/Chiron midpoint

Hope this helps
