Bumped into this article while scouring the net. Wanted to share. http://www.scribd.com/doc/76629520/41/Natal-Mars-square-opposition-Ascendant Most of the things said on Mars in Virgo applies to me ''You can be a bit like the Boy Scout who drags the little old lady across the street inspite of her protests that she doesn't want to go. You mean well, and probablywouldn't push people around or argue with them for your own sake; but you ahveawfully definite ideas about what's good and bad for people in general and those youcare about in particular. As a result, you can be too critical of others, interferingmore than is good for either them or you. This trait can be channeled positively, however; for example, your sort of motivation can be a good asset if you're involvedin a career in the medical field..' 'Mars in Virgo people generally tend to be very careful and discreet about sex.Occasionally they're 'late bloomers' in this area. Various types of sexual hang-ups canmanifest if Mars is under stress here..' 'Women with this placement set high standards for men- sometimes unattainably so. Both sexes can be incredibly dense when it comes to picking up on someone's romantic signals; paradoxically, they find very blatantovertures offensive. Patience, as well as more than a modicum of refinement, will benecessary to break the ice - which generally turns out not to be ice at all, but rather aprotective coating of 'intellectual polyurethane' designed to protect the emotionsfrom getting scratched, scuffed or stained'' this is SO SO SO TRUE!!! ''Women with Mars in Virgo are attracted to modest, unassuming, shy men. No Rambotypes for you. You are looking for someone you can depend on, who is gentle, considerate, hard-working and practical. Cleanliness is high on your list of priorities, too, and it is much more important to you that your partner be neat than good-looking'' Hmmmm,I am not attracted to shy, unassuming men though, I tend to become irritated but yes cleanliness is really high on my list of priorities! I like that it's not such an AWESOME reading about mars in Scorpio. That mars can be overrated. IP: Logged |

quote: Natal Mars in Leo You have high physical energies, adequate practical and mental energies, and adequate-to-low emotional energies. Your energy is confident, exuberant, and dramatic. It is often channelled into getting others to do what you want, being in charge, and entertaining. Your strengths include generosity, leadership ability, and enthusiasm. You lack the ability to work without recognition, and also lack humility, and the ability to play second fiddle.

Thanks for sharing! However,I have hard time with interpretations that put sqs & oppos in the same basket or which tend to speak of planet-angularity via Asc point of view, stressing squares and oppositions to the Asc,rather than observing conj to angles first.

Natal Mars in LibraI do not feel like much of the description fits me. I am decisive and consider my own needs well. I absolutely love sport and competition, despite having minimal to no fire in my chart. I believe people see me as quite aggressive and competitive when I play sport, and in general, more challenging and outspoken when I am playing than most others. I do consider other people and what they are feeling before I make some decisions. I do tend to let others choose what to do in group settings, not because I don't want to choose, but because I seriously don't care what I do. I'm spending time with people I like. If it is something I really don't like, I'll simply say, I really don't like that, can we do something else, and if they say no, I'll be off to do something else. I am not that assertive at starting or maintaining relationships; friendships, platonic, or romantic, although I would say I am people oriented, as opposed to work oriented etc. I have strong vitality and constitution, and high energy levels. I have the opposite of a low sex drive, and am open minded. I don't know why Mars in Libra gets such a bad reputation from almost everyone. I don't have any problem with it, nor do I feel I have any of the supposed negative qualities associated with it. I understand that the whole chart needs to be taken into account, I am just very tired of reading the same old recycled **** about Mars in Libra. Some poor old soul who cannot do anything for themselves without asking, cannot make decisions, becomes a doormat for other people, dislikes competitiveness, and spends all day wishing they were not so lonely etc. - Chris ------------------ Learn lots. Don't judge. Laugh for no reason. Be nice. Seek Happiness. Follow your dreams. IP: Logged |

Thanks for posting this! ^^I can say personally most of what they've said on Mars in Scorpio (the least favourite of my placements, as a woman with it semisq'd Venus/Uranus and at odds with my Moon), Mars in 3rd (especially the one writer's description of this house placement!), and Mars conjunct Pluto... are very true, in my experience! Not all of course, but for the most part, there's a lot of truth in the words written in these articles. that I for one, especially, have no trouble identifying with. IP: Logged |

Thanks! They made Mars in Pisces and Mars in the 4th house sound.... HORRIBLE! It's actually not THAT bad. :I Some of it was true but most of it was not. Either that or I refuse to recognize it. >.< IP: Logged |

I have been reading all about Mars in the 3rd house, where it sits in my natal and impressed with the level of insight the link brings! Read a little about the aspect Mars makes to Pluto. It's a scary one since Mars rules the Descending degree. I am always wary because of it. Also, in some charts, Mars squares the sun but the aspect is very wide. Not promising for the descendant, either. I am going to read about Mars in Sagittarius next. I already can see myself in Mars 3h because I absolutely LOVE to study and I love going places I have never been before and explore the heck out of them. That is the number one thing I enjoy doing! Adventurist at heart totally all the way and committed free spirit! This can be seen in my natal Mars placement imo. I am indeed fearless when it comes to exploring new places (Mars square Pluto.)IP: Logged |

^ I like Mars in Aries! I've dated a few guys with that placement and I like that they are assertive and straight forward. Go getters turn me on <3 Mars that hold back are unnattractive (mars in PIsces, Cancer).I find the description of mars in Virgo is relatively accurate, but I'm alittle more out there than the description. I'm not sexually shy, but I am selective. I don't really have hang ups. And I'm more attracted to the chatty, humorous intellectual loud types than the shy, soft ones. IP: Logged |

Mars can sometimes get into conflicts, verbal and physical, because of unfilled action. Mars wants to do what the sign it is in signifies and when not allowed to (signified by a square aspect) boredom and tension results finding release in disagreements with others in the close vicinity. Happens to me with Mars/3/Sagittarius! I constantly crave so much mental stimulation, the kind only exploring new places satisfies, that I can get into verbal arguments with people as a way to channel the frustration.IP: Logged |

The Mars in Virgo description sounds a lot like my ex... I couldn't stand the way he could be either perverted/oversexual out of the blue and then a prudish cold fish. I couldn't make any sense of it. The Mars in Cancer description is accurate for me. I have it in the 8th of death and others' resources. I feel the description really matches me... in terms of how one is obsessed with accumulating resources in terms of family. All I really see my family as good for it their resources. It sounds horrible but they were emotionally abusive to me in childhood hence my feelings. I also have a large inheritance from a family member waiting for me when they pass. IP: Logged |

Booooo. I dislike having this placement. Somewhere else, fine. Like, I'd trade my Scorpio Venus for my Pisces Mars? IP: Logged |

Some of the Mars in Taurus relates to me but not the slow movements, and lack of intellectual pursuits. I found the section on taurus sensuality funny but no teddy bears for me I do like the description of Mars trine uranus/neptune though.IP: Logged |

I really dug the description of Mars in Sagittarius. Didn't describe me totally but I saw a lot of how I am in it. It described how I dissipate some of my energy. I even like to run and that sounds like a Mars/Sag pursuit I even enter races sometimes. I do like to keep moving that sounds like what I read concerning Mars/Sag/h3. I also get a long well with people from distant places, generally.I liked playing soccer as a kid and was good. Still pretty good at kicking that ball. My legs are definitely the strongest part of my body. Maybe Mars/Sag got off with a fun description? IP: Logged |

haha! My son has this placement. He has so much energy, especially with a Gemini sun it is just all over the place. Has a hard time not being the one to go first with turns, is very competitive. we put him in baseball and soccer and he is really good and its a good outlet. The strong sense of self but little understanding of others describes him as well. I've found myself getting very angry at him for being "inconsiderate" of other people with his "me first" thing or "how could you not see the consequence in that before you did it?" I sure love watching him be a daredevil on his bmx at the skate park. IP: Logged |

Say Mars is in Capricorn?and squares pluto, how would they channel their frustration that is if they are frustrated?
