What would indicate in one's chart a love/obsession for alcoholic beverages? I think a heavy Neptunian or Piscean influence.

And go.

Neptunians like to escape so I'd say Pisces and Sagittarius both ruled by Jupiter.

But Taurus likes to drink and eat fancy food at the same time, overindulgent.

I have Pisces moon 12H, Pisces rising, and Sun/moon midpoint conjunct Neptune

I don't drink Acohol. My vote is for any sign that likes the flavor of it, fortunately I don't

I have a Taurus Jupiter in the 8th (singleton) and Pisces Mars in the 6th. I'm a huge wino. Not to the point of alcoholism, but I do enjoy a nice glass with dinner almost every night.

Alcoholic in recovery so I didn't drink it for the taste but for the escape:
Sun conjunct Neptune in 12th house
Neptune is also my highest ranking planet according to the Pullen chart on astro.com.
Also maybe to calm down the intensity of Scorpio moon/venus. Want to point out that not everyone with these placements will become an alcoholic just as not everyone with the genes for alcoholism will become alcoholics. Environmental factors, etc.

seriuosly - yup... Venusians, Neptunians, Jupitereans... like to drink... well, moreso than others.... I think...

I don't limit that to Tauro- I think also Librans... having so many of them (Libras) in my own family tree be alcoholics.... or as we call it.... connoisseurs of the vine and barley.... XD

ime - Sadge dominant - Merc/Jup dominant - Taurus Moon - with Neptune-Merc-Jupiter stellium... (also Ven-Uranus cnj Baachus in Sadge too)

I can drink like a mofo... Irish-Greek blooded though~ ^^; goat-belly... cast iron lining with steel rivets for sure...

only thing is I'm not really into wine =x

I prefer bourbons --- whiskeys....
then vodka after this...and rarely beer.

not dependent on it yet though... XD potential is there...

i'm not obsessed nor addicted to alcohol in general. i used to be a "social alcoholic" in my teens. but i've always hated the taste of alcohol lol. now i don't care for alcohol for the most part. but i do enjoy beer and wine once in a while. rums, vodka, whiskey ,any other spirits, i'm not really a fan of. my fav alcoholic drink in the world though, is amarula and baileys irish cream. despite the whiskey in baileys. i'm pretty obsessed with those two. but i force myself to only drink it on holidays or special occasions.i tend to favor the more "fattening" drinks lol. anything else doesn't really interest me..

alcoholism runs strong on my fathers side. his entire immediate family, are water sun signs.

libra stellium
heavy jupiter
Pisces Asc
venus and saturn dominant
water dominant
neptune squares my libra stellium. and forms some t-squares in my chart

Maybe it's my Jupiter in Virgo 6H that makes me picky and only consume things for flavor because alcohol has never been something I enjoyed drinking.

Pisces sun, Neptune in the 12th, (in Scorpio)

I love my wine and I can handle it...

But from what I have seen and some quite personal experience with it, the hard aspects of Sun/Neptune, especially the conjunct just cant deal with ol' Al!

The two biggest female drinkers I know are Taurus w/ fire moons. (Sag and Aries)

(I feel like a lot of taurus men are more prone to smoking a lot - at least ones with earth moons)

I'd agree about the Pisces/Sag drinking thing. The guys I can think of that drink a lot are those suns. One is Pisces/Aries/Pisces. Other is Sag/Gemini. Come to think of it my Pisces/cancer/libra guy friend drinks a lil too much too. The whole group is pretty Pisces influenced. There's a Leo Leo Pisces. And a Taurus with a Pisces moon.

Anyways. The only thing I can offer that breaks the mold is my exbf who became a pretty bad alcoholic. Two DUIs the year after we broke up. Drinks a ton now. Been to rehab twice. Is already drinking again. He's Capricorn/Scorpio/Virgo. He does have Sun conjunct Uranus and Neptune. Looser sun conjunction to Saturn. These four planets are all opposite Jupiter conjunct Chiron. The Sun, Uranus and Neptune are all in his 4th house. He has no 12h planets though and nothing in his chart in Pisces

I'll probably sound dumb for asking this but do you mean the candy or is that a certain type of drink?

I generally avoid alcohol altogether, I like to focus on healthy products. Not to say alcohol is bad, in fact I know there are some alcoholic beverages that are good for you if you drink it in moderation. I guess I just don't like taking the risk lol I blame this ...

quote:
Jupiter in the 6th house
With Jupiter in the Sixth House you will find luck, ease of working and general good fortune coming through robust health and lucrative, enjoyable, constructive work. This placing of Jupiter usually confers considerable literary skill, intelligent technique, scientific ability and technical expertise. It often denotes successful doctors, physicians and others in the healing professions - to the degree of social and financial prominence. In any event, your work or profession is likely be both highly remunerative and morally satisfying.[1]

If your birth Jupiter is in the 6th House, you have a need to lend practical service to the community at large. Especially a service to do with health and healing, which may or may not be orthodox.
