Topic: Virgo Planets---Very Sensitive about Coarse Subjects?

I am close to a Virgo Sun person. I have a terrible sense of humor, in that I am like a little kid laughing at those kinds of jokes. This person is very sensitive, if you say anything about food, smells, body functions etc. Once, I made a joke about a Chines restaurant's food and he could never go back. Last night, I was joking about some food and he told me that he could never eat it, again.Venus in Virgo seems to be coming my way, in charts. My closest friend( male) has it and he is the same way with coarse humor. He watched a whole Ali G DVD and did not even smile. He made me feel like a pervert  This same person is super, super sensitive to spices in food. If there is a dash of a spice he does not like, he will get sick. Anyway, bring it on about Virgo. Thanks! ------------------

Maybe its the venus in virgo.
Venus is at fall in virgo.
I was friends with a girl who had moon in virgo.
She was really open to all subjects and fun to be around.

Good Point about the Venus in Virgo. Venus is what we find beautiful and pleasing. Humor could be under that and probably is

I definitely see what you are saying. I have Moon in Virgo. Because I have Venus-Jupiter conjunct and in Scorpio, Mercury in the 11th and my Moon in the 9th, I actually do have a pretty good and kind of dry sense of humor. So I don't always get annoyed when people make coarse jokes as long as they are witty to me in some way. I also don't get offended when people make fun of stuff like food and smells... I've always been critical of food when I go out to eat and don't hesitate to complain if it bothers me. Only thing that really upsets me though is when people are TOO revealing about their bodily functions... like the illnesses they have... especially if they are not related to me. I'm appalled that someone can so easily say 'Yeah, I was puking/hungover/had the runs'. I mean come on... seriously...? I can't stand it when family members say it so openly, to me that's just crossing the line of Virgoan privacy. I also concur with you, Ami, about Venus in Virgo being easily sensitive to spicy and rich foods. I've known 2 people with this placement who both could get sick so easily if they had rich foods that usually don't cause vomiting/nausea in people [chinese food, indian food, wings] IP: Logged |

I have a virgo female in my family, through what i observed yes she can be humorous(though its rare, cause most of the time she is serious), their topics are usually those morally/ethically right stuff and they can be very sensitive on broaching taboo topics to the extent that sometimes i think can really put abstinence to practice.------------------

My sister is Venus Virgo.. she's kind of up-tight when it comes to humor. But she's not sensitive to food or spices. She puts hot sauce on everything.. She's a Libra Sun though so I dont think it's the same. Although, when she stuffs herself and is to the point when "ew, I don't want to look at food ever again!" I'll be like "let's get fried chicken!" and she'll actually gag and get angry. HahahahaIP: Logged |

My Virgo Sun, Venus in Scorpio friend is the same way! And she's also uptight about humor. She has Mercury in Libra. This is the same girl who thought it was hilarious to hold me down and fart on my face when we were in middle school. Oh, the irony...

I wish I could tell you what the person got mad at, but I am too embarrassed. Venus in Gemini will laugh at anything and is not usually shocked about things ------------------

It's weird to think both Virgo and Gemini are ruled by Mercury and yet don't have the same sense of humor - which I would think is connected to Mercury, but Venus makes sense too! Anyway, I understand Ami. I have Gemini ASC and Mars in Gemini, plus Venus Aries in the 11H. A lot of people don't get my sense of humor, or it flies over their heads.

In other cultures Venus is a masculine energy. I know in India its considered the teacher of demons. In some indigenous native south american cultures venus is represented as vengeful god.
In christianity venus is the morning star Lucifer.
People with excess venus energy are the most pleasure addicted people I know, sex and alcohol. Especially the men.
I think women with excess of venus energy can some how balance that out, they're never as bad. I don't think Venus is a bad planet at all, it can give wealth and beauty if placed well. Although I think Jupiter is much more benefic. IP: Logged |

Oh, this is such bull.I know a Virgo sun who is pretty much the only person besides myself that can handle really gross or shocking things. I have Venus in Virgo, and most of my planetary midpoints in the sign as well (including sun/moon), and it's damn near impossible to gross me out, and I have the dirtiest, most politicially-incorrect, "blue" sense of humor you'd ever see. I think Virgo is ruled by Chiron. Gemini seems to be attuned with Mercury and Virgo does not really fit imo

Virgo moon, not sensitive to coarse subjects at all. I avoid (am sensitive to) blood, guts, violence and gory scenes and have a strong appreciation for beauty and the arts in many forms. I can joke about most subjects with people easily. Don't find a problem with that. I probably laugh at innapropriate times too. Can laugh at or find humor in just about anything. Violent images don't sit well with me. That's about it. Wonder what combos your friend could have going on that could explain it. As we know, you can't really rely on one aspect or placement alone. I think Virgo Moon is not sensitive like this. Virgo Venus is ( or at least in my limited experience) One Virgo Sun is( or maybe two) I have to check one of the people's Venus and see where that is. Maybe, it is Virgo. Keep the stories coming. This is research ------------------

Conversely, do you enjoy the kind of humour there is in most series of Blackadder or something like Yes Minister? Dry, cerebral, dark or witty things? There's a time and a place for everything and even with certain levels of familiarity not everyone welcomes the uncouth near food or whatever. Venus, Sun or even Mercury in Virgo may be geared toward other types of humour you don't appreciate. Personally I consider it a rare occasion that anything like fart jokes would qualify for anything remotely funny, but apparently they are popular. IP: Logged |

I have Sun, merc and Venus in Gemini. I find many things funny and can laugh at most everything because I believe the statement that humor exists because life just doesn't work ------------------
