Topic: Prominent neptune anyone?

I have a first house neptune and I'm trying to figure out how to relate with this placement anyone with prominent neptune? How does it feel? What are the qualities of a first house neptune? I don't know if I'm feeling the influence or not. Thanks!IP: Logged |

I don't have the placement but I just wanted to offer insights. I guess I can kind of say I do have a touch of it though, since Neptune makes a sextile to my chart ruler. Some ideas jump to mind: a quality of a 1st house Neptune could be being transient. You might feel lost or hazy about your identity or true self, OR you might feel that others do not see the self you want them to see. You might be very Piscean in presentation. I know some actors have this placement and they can very much be one person/persona one day and an entirely new one the next. You might feel also, for better or for worse, that people channel their emotions and desires either consciously or subconsciously onto you, and you can act like a psychic sponge to mirror it back to them. Thing will be more intense if Neptune conjuncts your Ascendant...you'll probably feel it even more. Does it? IP: Logged |

i have neptune in first conjunct my asc. it definitely comes across - people describe me as sometimes looking lost or dreamy-eyed and like i'm always fantastizing about other things and places (which i am). i think men are attracted to it because it makes me appear vulnerable and needy, kind of damsel-in-distress if you will. it also comes across in how i dress, very flowy fabrics and extremely feminine. i actually think of it as a very feminine placement, because it brings out those qualities in my overall manner and appearance, very girly, with the liking for wearing flowers in my hair and long dresses. it also does quite a number on my love life and partnerships in general - i see everyone as 'perfect' and with rose-colored glasses until such time i get hurt by them and it feels like my whole world has collapsed. as i child i felt so let down by the world and people around me, it was awful. it still happens as an adult but i manage it better. i see the good in everyone and am highly optimistic until i'm let down and then just sink into sadness again until i get up and feel better. i pick up on emotional stuff very well and can 'read' people right away, and i can actually feel their hurt sometimes, it's kinda receptive in that way, at least for me, or perhaps because it's in scorpio. i attract a lot of artistic types into my world - and very sensitive men too - men with lots of cancer and pisces placements, which i actually don't like much. i 'appear' like a water sign but am almost all air :-)IP: Logged |

Thank you for your input Sweet Scorpio I'll keep these things in mind, I am trying to understand myself in this Neptunian fashion, basically trying to deduce how it feels and shows in my persona. The channeling of desires unto me sounds very appealing! I like it. And I don't know about neptune conjunct asc but I have every right to be as neptunian as that lol Thanks Starmoon. IP: Logged |

See this is what's going on in my chart and I tend to feel scorpionic quite a bit just tring to make fall in line too I'm wouldn't describe myself with number of Pisean traits though I feeling and definitely perceive thing a little more intensely but I'm sure neptune is relevant as well but it must be a subtle interplay if anything I would like neptune for its intuition among other not yet identified characterristics in myself. i've got neptune in capricorn, in the first conjunct my ascendant. i've also got saturn sitting right on top of neptune so i think it sobers neptune up a bit, but here's my viewpoint:
reality feels like its true existence lies beneath this thin layer of film that we've built up like a mirage. if only i could pinch it and pull it back, to see what's really underneath it all... some days i feel like i'm not fully awake. it's like a free, naturally occurring acid trip. with the whole emotional projection thing, i can easily empathize with others but i have never felt that 'force' of being made to feel the other persons emotions. but i have always been able to kind of duplicate a personality in a way. i can completely read a person and their mannerisms after a few minutes of conversing and if i wanted to, i could be that persons twin. this is all fun and games when i'm out drinking and whatnot, but it gets tiring and i lose interest. i think people have a very clear idea of who i am, but it's taken years of building confidence to allow myself to blossom into the adult i am today. neptune can be full of heartache but can also be very fun and offer a person so much perspective and creativity. it gets a lot of bad press on this board but i always have and always will love that blue planet. neptune makes you special. I have my Neptune conjunct Sun by less than a degree and I think it has played out in different ways. I agree with the feeling of walking around in a dreamlike state. The fact that it is in the 12th house may have exacerbated this. I feel as though I collect other people's energies, thoughts, vibrations, emotions and have been in the past unable to separate myself from them. I have tried to escape this everyday world in many different ways to not feel those feelings, most not my own. I often do not feel very grounded. On a more positive note, when I have some sort of system or structure in place, I can distinguish my energies from others and empathize with them. I think I have to work hard to keep my feet on the ground. Sometimes I just want to meditate for hours and hours and not leave the house. Exercise really helps.
