This thread will be about moon sign compatibility outside of cookie cutter descriptions.
Based on what we've seen.
Yes, there are other factors such as aspects, and what not, but, let's have some fun, has anybody noticed any moon sign matches that seem outside of the norm?

Certain things I have noticed:

1. Compatibility based on the planet ruler. Scorpio and Aries - Mars ruled.
2. Opposite and antiscia moons matches are better than squared moons. Squared moons is harsh.

Aries: aries.
Taurus: scorpio, pisces, all of the earth signs, the least compatible being capricorn, libra
Gemini: sagittarius, leo
Cancer: virgo, capricorn
Leo: gemini
Virgo: aquarius, taurus, capricorn, cancer. Another virgo mooner.
Libra: pisces, taurus, aquarius. Another libra mooner.
Scorpio: taurus, pisces, aries
Sagittarius: pisces, gemini, aquarius. Another sagittarius mooner.
Capricorn: leo
Aquarius: virgo, sagittarius
Pisces: libra, scorpio, sagittarius.

Cap-Aries.
Lib-Can.
Not saying it is perfect but, a cap-aries works better than a cap-libra, it seems.
Maybe it is because cap-aries are more go-getters.
Libra and cancer are more similar, I think.

Another example.
Sagittarius-Pisces
Gemini-Virgo

Scorpio - Aquarius easier than Taurus - Leo.

I feel most "comfy" and at home with virgo, scorpio, and taurus moons. They remind me of me...they love creature comforts, they like peace and quiet, are chill people, are really dedicated to those they care about, are very sweet and nurturing once you get to know them, and really try to make the people they love feel happy by "catering" to them. I love that. (Haha not saying that they cater to ME bc im a leo moon and all. Nah, just saying that i'm the same way.)

Aries moon is very fun and we're usually uber close, but sometimes their self centeredness really hurts and makes me feel neglected so it's joy n suffering both at once. Aqua moon is fun but can be too cold sometimes. Pisces moon is awesome, but can sometimes be too passive for me.

Even tho i have leo moon, I don't like sagittarius placements. They feel cold and calculating to me. the rest of the moons are cool, but i dont really notice people with those.

I usually like cancer moons enough at first but then they throw me off balance by being what i perceive as irrational

Was one too affectionate with you, or tried to play mother? Alot of people dislike Cancer Moons, we are supposedly clingy even when we don't intend to be. Usually Cancer moons shy away from relationships when we know we wont get a certain kind of love from.

My fire moon thing, I realize is pretty atypical... but, I'm a fire Venus/SN (4h - "familiarity") and Sag/Jupiter dominant & a 5h Sun at that! --- so, most of the fires I've been mesmerized with have made trines/conjunction to that, or fallen on the Antivertex/E.Point (my 12h). I love moon-Venus connections!~ haha (especially those rare ones that are near exact/exact conjunct!)

I don't think I've ever matched up with a another Tauro moon, Capricorn, or Virgo moon... ^^;

The Libra moon relationships were both with Sagittarius suns... I think this is the only reason things were reasonable between us. (square sun, is such a hassle!) But, I also find that having placements in my 2nd house do contribute to a secure feeling, in the relationship... though it tends to be.... how to put it... Neptune-y and not Venus-y~ hehe

Aries moons have gotten away with things... despite any squarish business! Aries rules my 8h, Mars being cnj Pluto in 3h Scorpio, so while they don't match all the time to my Tauro or Cappy emotions/core-values, we had the benefit of connections to my stellium (merc, nep, jup in Sag & Cap 4h), possibly to my ven-ura in Sag, and to mars-plu... so it seems, we had similar tastes and motivations... something of that nature, that made us bond well instead of having the same friction that was there with Libra moons, imho!)

Aquarius moons, or marses... are very common in my partners (my husband is Sag sun, Scorp Moon, Aqua Mars even!) One or the other is almost always there... or vs/vs - leo mars or moon! lmao -- vertex ----/---- antivertex (ven cnj ura, aqua 5h/6h ~ although I'm not sure of any other way to explain it... nodes and the rulers seem to be the main pull for why I tend to find myself with Aquarians so often... I think...) oO;

yeees same here. i cannot do cap moons. theyre too detached (or act that way at least..as a front) but its difficult for us leo moons. we need tons of warmth and attention

and SaturnineMoth I'm a leo moon and i love taurus moons too! eee yay.
tho i admit there can be problems (square), but i am still obsessed regardless

The thing is I adore being taking care of and affection. Oh yes...cancer moon, treat me like royalty. But, there is something about the way the ones I have met react/handle emotions that....I just do not get it.

It is like, I always say something that offends them. They overanalyze things in a very emotional way. Mind you, I am no stranger to emotions and sensitivity.
But, I do tend to find myself in the twilight zone with them, most often than not. *Wait....what did I do? What happened?*

I do not fair well with taurus moons. Something about my chart is hurtful towards them. Perhaps the square to my leo moon but some do not aspect.

Sagittarius moon (brother/niece) get along with them more than anyone else in family, can joke around with them

Leo moon: (friend/dated for a very short time) loved just being around him, still friends and I still like to be in the same room with him (he glows)

Other Scorpio moons: Understand the intensity/darkness, don't have to hide that part of myself
