Obviously it's genetic in my immediate family but my dad was taller than his brothers.

Then there is two females I know, both with Gemini rising. One is a Leo Sun, the other a Scorp. Both are under 5'3. I've seen Mercurial influences in the 1st and/or on the rising make people small a lot of the time... either shorter than normal, tiny bone structure, etc.

There's a story behind this. Wilhimena Cooper had a line drawn in her office about that far from the ground - she'd told people that she was on the look out for the next "It Girl" model, she had this vision in her head of what she thought the girl would be like, and she thought she'd be that tall. She said she'd known when she found her when the girl was around that height.

Gia came in, and from the accounts, just barely made the mark. Emphasis on 'barely'. Which makes me think she wasn't even a solid five foot eight. More like five seven.

Gia did mostly print work, because she was too small height-wise, for runway work.
