When you're reading someone's progressions or transits do you consider Pluto as the ruler planet for Scorpio? Say if someone's 7th house is in Scorpio and you're checking when he might get married, would you check progressions to his Pluto? Seems a little unreasonable since Pluto is not even considered a planet anymore.

astronomers these days are not the ones who developed the astrological system, so just because pluto isn't "considered" a planet doesn't mean it's not one according to astrology. the moon and sun aren't planets but we all consider them planets in astrology.

so, i would check both pluto and mars.
