So I've noticed in past synastries between me and guys I've been heavily crushing on, obsessed with, head over heels for...my Venus aspects a ton of their planets. It doesn't matter what the aspect is, or what the other planet is, all that matters is that my Venus aspects a lot of their things and when that happens, I am soooo smitten.I decided to take a look at me and my current boyfriend's synastry and noticed that his Venus aspects ALL of my things except for Jupiter and Pluto (by everything else I mean the things listed in the astro.com synastry grid - so that includes NN and Chiron). He is incredibly into me...he loves me like none other, he tells me he thinks about me all the time, he's overly affectionate with me, he's obsessed and head over heels. So, to me, that kind of tells me something - if someone's Venus aspects a lot of another person's planets/points, then the Venus person is going to be totally into that person. It doesn't matter if those aspects are squares, oppositions, trines, conjunctions, sextiles, semisquares, semi sextiles, or whatever..it just matters that Venus is touched. Anyone else notice this? It is fail-proof in my own synastries with people..
At first I thought it was just that way for ME when I'm Venus because Venus is a strong planet in my chart, but Venus is not a strong planet in my boyfriend's chart yet it works for him this way. IP: Logged |

hmm any 5TH house action? or 8th, 1st? i've only had a few crushes so far. 1. my venus completely unaspected. his sun in my 8th... 2. his mars trine my venus. his sun in my 5th. 3. his mars sextile my venus, trine my moon (hooooooooooottttttttt!!), his sun in my 8th 4. my venus square his saturn and uranus, his sun in my 1st, his moon in my 5th... famous fancies 1. sun in my 8th, moon in my 5th, my venus is aspected once: conjunct his north node. his venus does not aspect any of my planets...d/k his ASC 2. his venus in my 5th, trine my ASC. my venus does not aspect any of his planets...d/k his ASC 3. my venus sextile his pluto, trine his DSC, my mars in his 8th... 4. my venus sextie his pluto, his mars in my 1st, my venus does not aspect any of my planets...d/k his ASC i can't say one way works for everyone. i'm betting there were traditionally positive aspects involving my "love" planets and planets of people i can't stand or weren't attracted to in the least. i find this is where astrology becomes frustrating. coincidences can be so annoying! Draconic charts and progressed charts will often tell a different story too. i think draco to natal comparison can give rise to attraction that doesn't seem to exist between natals..for me, draco - natal Eros and Psyche comparisons give accurate descriptions about the outcome of all of my past crushes. Honestly? Not for me. I have a past synastry where my Venus aspects his Sun, Mars, Moon and Pluto - and I was/am very much not interested. With the only man I ever really loved - I have next to no Venus aspects. My Venus is conjunct both of our NNs in Taurus. His Mars is opposite my Venus by a wide orb. That's all. Maybe I'm just a weird exception to the rule though. It sounds like what you said should work... but in practice it just doesn't work for me. IP: Logged |

Same here. For me, it's more or less they have planets in aspect to my 7th house ruling planet (Mercury) or 8th house ruling planet (Moon). And for sexual attraction the 5th house (Mars) is being activated. My Venus usually might make or take just one aspect or a few generational ones... Venus is really more prominent in my friendships, which is fitting cuz it rules my 11th house. Although.... There is one guy who has a stellium in Leo conjunct my own Venus and widely conjunct my Sun, and even his Gemini stellium sextiles my Venus... he really wanted a relationship but I was unable to return a mutual feeling, even after agreeing to go on a date. He appealed to me more in a friendship way (11th house ruler being activated). IP: Logged |

I think it has more to do with where the 7th house ruler is placed in your chart and how its aspected in synastry by the other person's planets. My ruler of the 7th is Neptune. I really like Neptunian types. My Neptune is in my 4th house. So a woman with planets and points in Sag close to my Neptune will absolutely get my attention. That is further strengthened by my Moon/Pluto conjunction in Libra sextiling my Neptune in Sag. So I say, check to see where the ruler of your 7th is and how that planet is aspected in synastry. ------------------ Gemini Sun Libra Moon Gemini Mercury Cancer Venus Virgo Mars Virgo Asc And yes, I'm a guy! Well, Venus is the ruler of my 7th...and it's placed in my 1st house. Maybe that's why But for my boyfriend, his Venus is the ruler of his 9th and 2nd houses....and his Venus is in his 11th. However, my Venus falls in his 2nd house soooo..could that be it? We don't have other 'traditional' love aspects. Although, my Mars is conjunct his DSC, his Moon is in my 7th, and his Sun in my 8th..

For me it is like the OP stated, but then venus is having a double function in my chart as well, as she rules my 5th house (and rules my MC).I actually noticed the other way round; if there are NO strong aspects to my Venus, I am not going to feel attracted, even if his Moon conjuncts my Sun or his Mars trines my ASC etc. IP: Logged | |
