I have Mercury square Neptune and I attract a lot of Mercury water signs (even though I have Mercury in Aries.) Do others experience this as well, or is it just a quirk within my own chart/life?

Even though I have trines, I don't have the same coincidence happen (for example I have Moon trine Neptune, but Pisces moons aren't attracted to me. It's more so I am attracted to THEM.)

In my experience the harder aspects give off more energy and attract more of such to you...

I have 3 tight tsquares: Mercury, Mars and Jupiter in Aqua, opposing Uranus and squaring a Taurus moon..

I attract Aquas like flies to (you know what)

Pisces sun and Scorpio asc, even tho the Scorpio asc is involved in this mess of t`squares, has little to do with the airy ones I attract.

I would think that the softer aspects would be barely recognizable, VERY subliminal, but the hard aspects is "attraction" like in your face!

Oh that's really interesting! I never considered my other squares, just the water ones. If we have the squares then does that mean we take on more characteristics of the planet they're squaring?

And how does order work? For example why is Sun square Uranus an honorary Aquarius sun first, instead of Uranus in Leo?

eta: I don't LIKE water mercuries though! The only water mercury I respect is Mercury in Scorpio (and feel most comfortable being myself around). Yet, they're indifferent to me and my Mercury doesn't make any aspect to Pluto in my natal chart.

I just think that the "hard" aspects are so out there, so in our face, that, energetically we cant help to attract the same..

like attracts like...

Where as the more "softer" aspects are, like I said, very subliminal...we dont feel them, tho them may be acting upon us anyway...

Ya know, the more experienced astrologers here will discect this and make more astrological sense out of it.

But for me, astrology is so energically driven to me, so I experience and decipher via the energy of such.

Yea the squares are very overt energy to me...

sigh...

Been living em for sooooo long~

One more thought then I am going to go to sleep....

I have been messing around with astrology for 20 years.

My kids (21 and 25) call me the "elemental" astrologer.

I spent alot of time reading Stephen Arroyo, he once said that ALOT can be gleaned from the elements.

This is what I base all on...

Energy is energy, you will attract what you put out...simple?

SO Anixious to see what the ones that have studied way more than me have to say!!!

Yeah! I like studying elements too. It makes more sense than trying to break down each sign into it's own personality. Eventually some are going to bleed into others. I have a book by him but I didn't get into it because I didn't like his writing style. I may just have to get over that.

I have Aqua Mercury opposing Saturn in Leo.

I have Cap sun and Leo Saturn in mutual reception. Plus Leo rising.

And I guess I have always attracted Leos...married one, no big surprise.

I have Pisces moon opposing Virgo jupiter and Sagittarius mercury squaring my moon and jupiter (T-square, in other words). My worst enemies were Sagittarian and Piscean females. That has a connection somehow, don't you think?

In romantic terms, I have Libra Venus square Capricorn Neptune and Uranus. I am attracted to Capricorn/Aquarian/Piscean energy more than Sagittarian (which is my descendant, Cappy is also in my 7th). I also usually have an affinity to guys who are older/more mature than I am, even if it is just days/months and vice versa. However, the signs that I attract more are Scorpio and Sagittarius.

Also, I have the tendency to involve myself in unrequited romances. Like ALL THE TIME.

Yes! This is pretty common in synastry. It shows compatibility.

For instance - often I have issues with Virgo Mercury (Mine is Pisces).. but when I have met or a read a book by a Virgo Merc person who also has a Merc/Neptune aspect - I was very drawn to their way of thinking.
I'd go as far as to say that my feelings towards them are in the opposite extreme... I actually like them a LOT.
Whereas with most Virgo Mercuries, it tends to be 'dislike'.
