not to be a bugger~

but, it's more about synastry, I believe...

I can only be counted on to "listen well" when the person I'm listening to is not a type that I'd be annoyed with (find trifling) or find excruciatingly tedious, or even authoritarian (as a nice way to put it)~ ^^;

Other than that, the signs/aspects that seems to have a stronger effect on whether my ears and mind will sustain what is said and stay on topic... enough to say they have any advantage over others at least; would be Pisces Mercury/Moon, and Cancer suns... I think that would expand to those with Moon/Neptune or Merc/Nept aspect, or 4th or 12th house Merc/Moons... (not so much Venus + Nep or Merc or Moon though, oddly enough - they tend to dazzle, but then how much attention are they really getting? right??)

I'm a good listener, /MOST/ of the time, but not a good rememberer~ sorry... >.<; I've always had memory problems... I don't know what aspect causes it. (hm?) I may forget a name, but never a birthday though. ^^;

I probably should be a good listener... I have Capricorn Mercury in the 4th, conjunct Neptune by a degree.... and Moon in Taurus, 9th house.

I have a long memory for wrong doings though, Cappy Sun, and Moon opposite Saturn in Scorpio 3rd house~ (this seems to contribute most to why I hate having to listen to those who /think/ they've known and seen it all, and /think/ they can relate to everyone, or have the right to do such, and judge others for what they /think/ that person's problem or deficit is... that's 9th house Moon opposite Saturn! XD ~ basically, once someone has said something offensive (to me or a friend/relative) it gets cataloged and stored in an iron barred, steel safe, probably until the day I croak.

I don't know, really... I just have a really bad memory sometimes... short term mostly... maybe it's Mercury stellium, adding Jupiter kinda makes things overwhelming, either what is said gets swept into a big heap of knowledge I've yet to digest (this is when it looks like I'm not really listening but usually I am), or, OR... I just can't stop my mind (ergo; my mouth^^) long enough to be bothered to remember seemingly useless information! idk ^^; ~least I'm honest about it though~ haha

Adore you Pisces Mooners for your ability to tame that part of me though~ you can talk... go on... I'm listening~

Like I started with though~ Synastry is so crucial for me~! The people I actually "listen to" the most, (I mean I value what they say, and will actually consider their thoughts as important as my own, ^^; which is something grander than just absorbing whatever is being thrown at you from any "who's it" in your daily life, on any given Sunday" imho), are actually my 2 male Libra sun best friends... they do not follow this idea at all~!!! lol their Moons are in Capricorn and Aries (respectively), and their Mercuries are in Libra and Scorpio (again respectively), neither of them have easy/positive aspects from Neptune to their Moons/Mercuries, nor between their Mercury and Moon (or Suns) themselves... neither of them have 12th or 4th house aspects like I listed above either... XD

so, no... I truly think it has more to do with syn, and even transits... think we all have days were our mind has us "running 'round like a chicken with its head cut off", and we miss things people say to us... even important people/subjects... so transit + synastry = who is really listening, and when.... again... that's in my humble take on things. XD I don't know any other way~ <3

Oh I didn't know that was what a good listener was! I'm HORRIBLE at remembering stuff like that. But I'm a good listener in picking up what you're not saying, who you talk about the most, how you REALLY feel about something vs. what you're telling me, being able to gauge how self-aware you are, etc. That might fall under reading people though and not listening. I do interrupt all the time...

Sun (Aries) conj. Mercury
Mercury sextile Mars (Gemini)
Mercury in the 11H
Mercury conj. Venus (Aries)
Mercury square Saturn and Neptune (Capricorn, both 7H)
Mercury quintile Chiron (in Cancer, 2H)
Mercury semi-square Jupiter (Gemini, 12H)
Mercury sextile ASC (Gemini)

I'm a very good listener. Everyone says so.

My Mercury and Neptune are exactly conjunct in Capricorn in my first house, which I think makes me a really good listener. Mercury is also sextile Pluto, and I have a stellium in Capricorn.

People tell me I'm a good listener - Scorpio Mercury in 12th and Sag Sun. It's good and it's bad to have Mercury in 12th, in Scorpio no less...I am very good at listening but many times it's a one-way street.

Best friendship I have is with my friend who is Scorpio Sun/Mercury in Sag...we are exactly conjunct our Suns and Mercs...very nice to feel like you're heard

Mostly everyone in the circle said I'm a great listener, apparently I understood what they felt. People always come to me whenever they have problems and I always there to hear them out.
I have Mercury in Cap trine my Sagittarius Sun.
Pisces Ascendant Squares my Sag Sun.
Jupiter in Aquarius trines my Saggy Sun.

Yes I know gave a topic and everyone thinks they are anti-social or good listeners:P Im Leo Sun and Mercury...however I have Moon conjunct Neptune and Uranus. No aspect between Moon and Mercury. Sometimes i have to pretend that i don't remember something. Maybe is my Virgo Venus. I have also auditory\echoic memory rather than visual.
