My 4th house sign is Capricorn and so is my IC but Sagittarius Neptune conjuncts my IC.

My family isn't very "Capricornian" as it's not traditional. For one, everyone was pretty independent of themselves and everyone is really eccentric, not just me. The Capricorn side is we never really bonded beyond existing as a family unit by blood and name, and as far as any personal sentiment was concerned, forget it. I don't like any of my family members and none of them like me. However, we tend to support one another despite personal judgements and will help each other out in needed circumstances. My parents tried to act serious with me, but that never worked. I try to act serious towards my family, but that doesn't work either. We moved around a lot and I was born near the ocean and have always lived near large bodies of water. The one thing that I can say that's good about Capricorn in the 4th is that everyone's realistic, unfortunately, having Neptune on the IC dissolves some of that realism with softness. Maybe that's not so bad.

If you use equal houses, IC can be in the 3rd, 4th or 5th.

Dad on the other hand thinks religion is a hoax. Thinks church people are complete hypocrites. He has been in college for over 30 years...Sag rules the higher education.

There was never a dull moment growing up.

I have Uranus conjunct IC in Sag... its my only fire planet. The oddball Cancer with a Leo sister and an Aries brother. They kept me quick on my toes lol Never knowing what to expect next. They toughened me up. I am not the typical whiny, sensitive Cancer who gets hurt when others are being mean towards me. My siblings was mean enough, wasn't intimated by my peers that I went to school with.

Lots of camping trips growing up as Sags love the outdoors. Playing card games at the table, building A camp fire...Laying in the shade in the warm breeze. Drinking some spiked cider my mom made for us to drink while I watch her sit up in a chair and sew a dress. We talk about the American Frontier...The French of course that's my roots. Have a talk about history, maybe teach me about the authenticity of the fabric shes working with. Like for instance having more then 3 colors wouldn't have existed between the 1700s-1800s. Go to a Renaissance Fair and you see like 5 shades lol Rustic camping with no electricity. Camping at its finest!

Tons of adult conversations. Wasn't really treated or talked to like a child. Really school wasn't were I learned most of my knowledge. Learned a lot more from my own parents then teachers. Ask them anything usually they have the answer. Both of them love knowledge and learning is leisure for them.

As much as Sagittarius energy sounds FUN. They are brutally honest people. Not the best parents. They just tell you how it is and don't sugar coat anything. Blunt people are SO rude lol They don't take your emotions into consideration. There wasn't hugs and a night light in the bedroom. You slept in the dark. If your scared from a bad dream that doesn't mean you can cuddle with mom. That means you can turn on the T.V. for a little while and force yourself back to the bed into the bed later on, even if that means that you just are laying down with your eyes closed. As my mom says you will fall a sleep eventually.

Cool thing tho. Sags don't punish you. I wasn't ever grounded or beaten by them. They give you too much freedom actually. Yeah I know this sounds like it would be cool, but I'm a Cancer...I need structure or we don't know what to do with our time lol They didn't believe in giving allowances. Chores are done cause your part of the family. If you wanted to make money you best go get you a job. I did newspaper route at 13.

You know Starfairy I couldn't imagine having a Cancer mother either lol My mom has A LOT of Scorpio in her chart. Her Sun is the only planet in Sagittarius. Her father was named Allan and she was a daddies girl growing up. I got grandpas name. All 3 of us share Saturn in Scorpio. I was the Cancer function towards my mother. She breast fed me for 3 years. I would always greet her with hugs and smiles when she came home from work. My siblings swear that I got special treatment growing up. My mother and myself really do got an imaginary umbilical cord. Once I was hospitalized and was extremely sick on the other side of the country. She had such bad stomach pains that she ended up also in the ER at the same time that I did. She must of felt the pain I was going through and knew something was wrong with her child. That's pretty deep.

I actually have a lot of Sagittarius friends. I think Cancer is the sign that confuses Sagittarius the most. You don't know how to take us.

And now looking back at western astrology Jupiter is exalted in Cancer. This is my reasoning why. If the 9th house is considered to be the alter of the Zodiac then the 4th house must be the congregation that gives the alter a purpose. The 4th house is the lowest point in the chart its the foundation point of the chart, the "Root".

If Sagittarius is the Guru *The King* (Guru is also another name associated with Jupiter) then Cancer must be the Prophet that spreads the news that the Guru is about to arrive. Cancer and the Moon rule the public and the mass consciousness. We are attuned to public trends and desires.

Now you put Jupiter in Cancer where its exalted at...You have the ability to influence the masses and truly understand what the public wants.

Cancer carries its home on its back. Sagittarius wanders and explores all over the world in search of a place to call home. Cancer has already figured out Sagittarius dilemma.

Here's another one looking at it by season. Cancer and Sagittarius are the only two signs that don't share anything in common with the season they are born under. Sagittarius is a Hot and Dry sign in a Cold and Moist season. Cancer is a Cold and Moist sign in a Hot and Dry season.

Both these signs are Contra-Antiscia (Equally Rising) towards each others. They are perfectly symmetrical from one and another like a mirror. Seems in classical astrology it kind of has the effects of a trine or a sextile. This is the only line I could find out about the connection.

Our signs quincunx each others. Quincunxes have karmic lessons to teach us. A LOT of work and effort have to be put into them to work out. I think tho when Quincunx signs do come together and find a way integrate they can enlighten each others.

I got a Sagittarius friend who had a Cancer mother. She totally hated her growing up. Shes 60 now and starting to see her mother in herself and never realized it. Starting to appreciate her and really see her for who she was.

My 4th cusp is Saggi , no planet in 4th,Jupiter in 12H. conjunct. AC .
I saw many text stated that anything near your Ac could effect ur childhood life more. So I will try to relate this to mine.

- when I was young I travel a lot , because my father work aboard.
- my mother can' relate to this point except she is quite religious.
- both parents support their children to have highest education as one can.
