Not so nice is it?
Karen is new here don't you want to make a good impression? I know I do and I want her to feel welcomed and discover the magic of Lindaland,
(which is the same thing I want for you)

Let's chill and discuss some Astrology.

As for Capricorn and BB, yes it does apply somewhat but that description fits Capricorn Rising much more.

Edited to add: I must have been typing while Ceri was posting, thanks Sweetheart

I disagree.
Actually I think it both is offensive (hadn`t seen the other thread before).

To me it also seems a bit silly, both of it, as neither is a conventionally defined term and comes down to personal judgements.

There is a difference in saying: "you are boring, unevolved, etc." as opposed to "I think, in my opinion what you wrote there was boring, because....".

The "You-are" message implies that boredom or unevolvedness is part of the overall person and hence judges someone as a person, while the other sentence only judges a behaviour in a given situation.

Hmmm...but am sure I'm so Cappy wasn't trying to BE offensive. She was saying it as she felt it, may be a little harshly.

I may be a bit rigid right now when it comes to the use of language.

But the more I am reading in the internet and listening to people talk to each other, the more I notice that the "right of freedom of speech" has become a justification to use offensive language and insult others (under the guise of "But that is what I think and that is my right to express." And no, actually that is not the use of freedom of speech but just a sign of disrespect for other humans. You may agree or disagree with me on that, but that is where I am coming from, and that is the background, on which my reply has been created. I am just saying that here for a better understanding of my underlying thoughts and how or why I made that post.)

On the topic, actually yes, I noticed that Cappies seem to "mature" like a good wine.
I haven´t noticed the "looking younger with age" part, but have noticed several exhibit a more relaxed vibe with age, like they do not feel they have to prove themselves anymore.

^^ to me abusing the freedom of speech is more if you use vulgar, highly insulting language, swear, bring up things that have no relevance to the argument at hand or are racially abusive etc.

saying someone is boring is just an innocent, off hand remark and would not bother most people to read about themselves.

with regards capricorns- one of my good friends is capricorn rising and she went through a period of looking older than her years but then she popped out a child and suddenly her face looked so much prettier and her figure filled out in the best way possible.

im gemini rising cap sun and i look young for my age- i do take great care of myself though- i exercise, eat well, take supplements etc- i think with capricorns it is more that they are very serious about life so are less likely to drink to excess or get melodramatic and stressed over things that do not matter so end up looking young for their age.

I disagree. Well of course the things you mention are "worse" insults, but it starts somewhere, and usually with a certain mindset.

Maybe I am sensitive to the subject, cause in my line of work I have to listen very closely, as I see it practically daily how situations escalate which startedc with such a seemingly innocent remark (which is not really all that innocent. It IS a personal judgement. And there is the problem. Of course everything then just adds up until it all explodes.)
But as I said that is simply where *I* stand.

Yeah, you look young, Ian.

Not sure if I LOOK young or if I just seem young in person because of how I present myself.

When I was 12, I was mistaken more than once for a college student.

Since I've reached my 30's no one has ever guessed my age correctly, they always guess younger. Maybe they are just flattering me? But I have stood next to other people who are better looking than me, and I'm the one people act shocked about...like "Don't you ever age? You look the same as when I saw you ten years ago."

It was hilarious meeting my Capricorn college roomate after not seeing each for 15 years. Both of us were laughing our heads off right away saying, "I can't believe it! You are like the exact same!"

it is a he

and it is far from entertaining

it's exactly what peregrine said it was...

and checking around, reading their posts won't take one long to realize how disrespectful they've been towards others...

I'm not wasting an once of pity or sentiment after the bullocks they wrote on hanna and peregrine's threads here. You want offensive comments and bad first impressions, go check those out... being "boring" is hardly as offensive as the stuff written over in the music/uranus thread... >.>; I wouldn't waste my time defending them, that's all I'm going to say, people who comment like that and contribute nothing constructive or educational whatsoever to the topics but amuse themselves on belittling others, pecking and trolling away... well you should get the picture... I have no sympathy for such people in daily life or forum interactions...

contributing to buttonism~ ^^;

my uncle is a gorgeous Cap who hasn't aged since he turned 18.... in fact, unless you are dreadfully close you won't even notice his greys as greys.... they look like surfer's highlights. lol He looks 10 years younger than he did 10 years ago... so yeah... he's definitely a Button-like Cap!

my kid brother - if I showed you the pictures of him in grade school, then his picture today (sitting or just his head - he is over 6ft tall now) you'd probably think he was still 7 years old.....

I'm still mistaken for 15 at nearly 30....

saw a picture of my old cap crush (I was 13 at the time)... my god if he doesn't look younger though! @___@ very strong Cap stellium that guy... mmmph~ lol he's actually 5-6 years my senior... >.>; wouldn't give lil' me the time of day, but was always a dear friend when I needed help! haha <333

Very first crush ever... 1st grade, 4 years my senior, Capricorn sunian... (still crushing) - he's a dollface, wth!!! @_@; >.<;
(bone structure is excellent! lol) we're also really close friends though~ >.< will never go anywhere~ haha /foolishme

on to the ladies... 2 girls same names as me but one born in Dec Cap other is Jan Cap... one looked older when younger, she still looks youthful in the face (Dec Sun Cap), but you can tell in her eyes how mature/old she is... she's like that~ lol the other is Libra mars/rising and just beautiful + youthful beyond words... she's like my uncle... clearly stopped aging after graduation and now she's starting to age reverse! XD

as for those who don't follow with this... I can say I've only met 2... both were in their 70s though... so it's hard to say without ever knowing them in their 20s-30s! X__X they'd had a hard knock life... from their leathery skin, to the dimness in the eyes... I think that's what happens when the spiritual needs of a Capricorn/Saturn heavy person aren't balanced out with the other challenges and restrictions we surmount in our lives... cold, bitter, stagnant and aged characteristics set in... take over...

I cared very much for both of these elder Caps... but, they were very tough to love... one had moments of youthfulness, but you really had to be observant or you'd miss it! (love of opera, found this out and things changed quite a bit in our relations!) <3

the other... went quietly... I was one of three at his wake. t'was.... sad.

(I break all kinds of rules in nursing... ne? idc) <3

fwiw - the eldest person I knew was 103 when she passed on... she was a riot, lots of zip! ~ Aquarius sun too... she always looked youthful and giddy to me... like the sort of lady who would have leaped through blazing rings of fire with her wheelchair if you'd given her the chance or dare! <3

so, when someone appears really youthful, even when they're obviously really much older - I look at it as them having grown through their saturn returns in a Button-like way, learning to appreciate life more each time! <333 something like that~ ^^

I also suspect air hiding somewhere prominent ~ just adding... grandfather was Libra - looked aged, but always said one is only as old as they feel, he was youthful until he passed at 72. My baba (grandma) is over 70 now and she still looks 20 years younger, plus she did snag her 4th husband 30 years her junior... >.>; that's the triple Gemini influence for sure... (she's Gem sun/moon/rising) lol

maybe the Benjamin Button Capricorns are fortunate when they embrace and value life... and that gives them more youth (appearance/character) that their peers... And, maybe Air gives youthful features more often? maybe... (I wouldn't know, air void natal, all air progressed... lol) iunno Oo; just wondering too~ <3

It's wonderful for women!

The issue is that it's not always flatterring for me.

I remember getting passed over for promotion two years ago and I flipped out because I was the guy with the top job performance score. I went into a tirade because of the lame excuse that "you're still young," and the new boss in front of me was all puzzled when I told him that I've got five years **more** experience than the guy they moved up, all because that guy has a flipping full head of grey hair and a tummy extending out a good six inches. I told the boss to pull my resume and I slapped my driver's license in front of him. He was dumbfounded. I told HR that he ought not to pull such stunts again, not to mention that it's against employment law.

But I did look like and act like I was 30 years old when I was 18. Discounting being Asian and all that nonsense, at 50, I look 40, and some think I'm 35.

I go out and meet customers and their attitude sometimes: "err... is your dad not available today? We asked for the Principal. Why did they send the his son?"

u look ur age imo. My dad is 61 born and they say he looks young as well. But imo some people just look way older than their age. Santa claus lookin at 50. Sh1t is whack yo.
