It's rough for me. My mom's Mercury in Sagittarius is rough for me...I'm a Capricorn Sun conjunct Capricorn Mercury. People that speak irrationally without tact irk me to the nth degree. Mercury in Sagittarius has a sharp tongue!I'm afraid I'll never be as close to her as I would like to.  IP: Logged |

my parents are sags (dad/ stepmom). i am a taurus. my dad is a chauvinistic charmer. he has sexist opinions. my stepmom is actually a rather nice simpleton. not rough at all. it's rough having me as a child lol! not heavy on material stuff so i always had to sneak shoes in.  IP: Logged |

Whats your moms 5th house doing?
My dad has saturn 5th house scorpio. Hes a leo.
Our relationship is cold and superficial. He treats me like an object or a doll.
I love him but I don't like him as a person... I actually a strong dislike of male leos because of him. That energy always reminds me of my father and turns me off.

I felt he only tried to play the nice dad so others would be impressed. I remember people would always tell me how nice my father was.

I'm close to my mom who has moon in libra in the 5th house.
I have libra in the 5th too, I'm going to be an amazing parent.

My Mom is a Sag Sun and MoonHOWEVER, I was born on her birthday! I was her present lol  So, our suns are *exactly* conjunct. Her Moon is on my Sun, as well. We obviously understand each other quite well. With her Moon on my Sun, I find her incredibly nurturing and supportive. She also has a Cancer Ascendant, so she is very much a "mommy." Not to mention her Sun/Moon conjunction. Also, my Moon is in my 4th house, so I have a very close relationship with my parents. We argue a lot, but make up easily (my Moon is in Aries, so you can imagine. My sister is a Sag Sun/Aries Moon- just like me. Lots of fire growing up!)

My dad is Sag. While I won't ever nominate him for a "father of the year" award, he's better than a lot of other dads I heard about, and at least back when he accepted my company I got along with him a lot better than my Scorpio mom. I thought he could be hilarious...at least when not a scary drunk (or hungover in a foul mood). ETA: I'm a Libra. It should also be noted that my planets are fairly split between Libra (3H) & Sag. Very much so. I can't even explain how much guilt tripping my sister and I put up with. God forbid we had our own opinions on anything. Also if my mom got us anything, he would make sure that he explained how unnecessary and detrimental that was for out "spiritual grows" bull. We would get into trouble for getting him something for his birthday. We definitely censored ourselves around our parents and especially him. My mom caused us most emotional harm though, she is also a Libra moon. What she would do is compare us, to each other, to people around. "Oh she is so skinny, she can afford to eat that.. Look at yourself" "Inna is such a wonderful child to her parents, what did I do to deserve this/you" "You are so much smarter than her" "You are just like your father" etc. Honestly, even when she compared me to emphasize how much better I was, it made me feel like absolute crap. She compared us to ppl she didn't like to make us feel like crap and to ppl she liked a lot, for that same reason lol BUT now, she regrets how she was with us She once cried and said "I had such wonderful girls, and it took me so long to realize that". She has Cancer ASC, her NN and Neptune conjunction in Scorpio in her 5th. I think my dad feels like he has gone too far to go back, soften, and ask for forgiveness. I forgive him anyway, and I keep in contact but my sister hasn't talked to him for 5 years now. I believe the reason they are this way is because they had extremely hard childhoods themselves, growing up in poverty, working for every crumb etc. IP: Logged |

Our childhood was the same....
Your mom reminds me of my dad. He use to be critical about my weight. (I'm too skinny lol) Maybe libras love curves?
I sort of felt insecure about my looks because he never would say anything positive, I was always too feminine looking and not masculine enough...
My sister was totally ignored by him, because she was not an overachiever.
I resent him for that because she seriously has daddy issues. although my step dad saved her..
I think he showed me off more because I was his son and his heir to his imaginary empire. f*cking leos man..
I always though my dad would love me more if I was perfect.
So I spend my childhood being the golden child. Straight A's and everything..
He was totally thrown off when I went to art school lmaaaao. He told me that "he's given up on me".. I just told him that I don't need him and his approval he was like taken away.. His libra moon 4th house has a desire for false harmony.. everything okay and now is bragging about my creativity.
Although hes never even commented my art work...Although I have to say Im surprised that hes okay with sexuality..
Thats only thing Im thankful for... I don't have to deal with that **** ..
He thinks gays and bis are always successful in creative fields hahahahaha okay dad
He has uranus conjunct asc very strange man... I think if anything my experience with my dad explains why Im such an ego obsessed person sun/moon conjunct asc.

It seems in general Sagittarius isn't the bestest sign for parenting. My best friend is a Sagittarius though and she's so clucky, can't wait for her own child. Actually becoming a social worker focusing on children!IP: Logged |

maybe air signs are not great parents.
My grandmother is a libra sun and gemini moon.
All my aunts and uncles had some problem with her.

mine are pretty great to my half siblings. they are honor students and not as into trouble as i. at 13 i was out in bars already getting into all sorts of trouble. but then i was mostly parented by a pisces mother who was blind to all my faults lol! i can of course see parental bias. wanting the children to like the same things as you. my brother likes playing nba2k13 more than actual basketball. my sister does her own thing but i believe she is the most pressured in the family. she has capricorn moon. i don't think 3 fire moon men as brothers and father is the best. it could be all out douchbaggery at dinner.  typical stuff blurted include: dad: men should not cut hair. brother (pisces leo moon): so my classmates say i should be the escort coz i'm tall and handsome. (it was a punchline of a joke he delivered wrong, i forget what exactly it was too) me taurus leo moon: do your friends have hot older sisters? my sis has gotten crankier this year. /shrug IP: Logged |
