My Sun, Mercury, Uranus, and Neptune are all in the fourth house under the sign of Capricorn. Cancer rules the fourth house. Capricorn and Cancer are opposites. My Mars is in Cancer, tenth house. Isn't that weird? Why do I have so many fourth house placements? What does this mean for me? IP: Logged |

Vedic astrology says a fourth house sun in the natal chart indicates growing up without a father. This is true! IP: Logged |

This is true in my case also. I have sun (in virgo), mercury, venus, chiron, and north node (in libra) in the 4th. I also have a cancer asc (making the moon my chart ruler) so having a cluster of planets in the 4th brings more focus to 4th house themes and issues. Is your north node in the 4th? For my case and maybe just in general I think that whenever there's a cluster of planets in a certain house, it makes that house more of a focus for your life than other houses. IP: Logged |

I have Sun right on the IC in Scorpio due to a lovely lovely Leo rising. I grew up with a father on and off. One period I'm living with my uncle, then back with my parents, then my dad left 4 good. Still see him around once and awhile. That's okay.I'm emotionally quite guarded. A portion of myself is deep deeply submerged. A bit of a troubled past, but also keeping things together too - the Scorpio influences are subtle and below the surface. IP: Logged |

I didn't realize I had a peculiar childhood until now. I guess I didn't know any better as a kid because that's all I knew.IP: Logged |

I have Uranus, NN, & Venus (near the 5H cusp) in my 4H.My childhood was wacky...I knew it at the time. I'm the youngest of six kids and, for one thing, I just thought my siblings were nuts. Or shall I say Uranian, to be polite? Maybe my 4H Venus shows how I loved my dad so much. He was a Libra...Venusian, ya know. IP: Logged |

This is kinda random lol, but how has having NN in 4th house been for you? Are you close with your family or have you made a family of your own? Also how has this affected 10th house things like your career? Sorry again if this is extra random but I have this aspect too and although I've read articles on this aspect, I'd still like to know someones firsthand experience with it. IP: Logged |

@Chiemi:Thanks for asking. It's weird because I'm a Capricorn with my south node in the 10H. I did well in school and was expected to take on a good career, and I had a lot of opportunities to do just that, but my heart was insisting on me being a housewife/mother....plus amateur gardener, chef, herbalist, artist, interior decorator I actually realized this when I was 19, and a freshman in college. But my dad wouldn't let me drop out of school. I was "too smart" to "just" get married and have kids! IF ONLY I could have convinced him, using astrology Not that I even knew anything beyond sun signs at that point. Anyway, after a short career, I did get married and have five kids (whom I adore.) But I had to figure out how to channel my Cap ambitions into things I could accomplish in a home setting, beyond just mundane things. Interestingly, some of my confusion cleared up when I bought Alexandra Stoddard's book Living a Beautiful Life a few years ago. Stoddard's Scorpio sun is conjunct my NN (though I didn't know that until a few years later.) Stoddard is like Martha Stewart meets Aristotle. So I finally had some kind of role model. How's it going for you? What's your journey been like? IP: Logged |

Well i'm a virgo and only 17 now, but I can definitely understand being expected to take on a really good career. I also do well in school and I've always wanted to pursue a career in business (10th house talking? lol) but with a pisces MC and SN in 10th I'm starting to think that maybe I'm just stubbornly pursuing this and I need to take a deeper look and look at other fields. I think a large part of me wants financial security, and I'm pretty scared of pursuing a career that isn't in demand and I don't have a backup plan. I guess that's too why I'm pursuing accounting because it's stable and even if I switch careers to some other sector of business or another field altogether, it's a good fall back :l. I love looking at homes and all the different decorations (I mapped out and planned my whole room in our old apartment before we got there and it literally turned out just like I planned with all of the furniture pieces and everything lol) and I just like homey stuff in general. I also love love love cooking and making foods look really nice and decorative like a chef and I pretty much take pictures every time I do lol.
My NN is in libra, so I have to work on relationships too. So far the journey has been ok, I still have my moments of going back to my aries tendencies (not really getting close to people), but I have been making more of an effort to push myself to socialize with people more. It's all a work in progress

^ Gorgeous food! Yum!!!!Wow, I had no idea you were so young! So I guess you have a while before you actually have to figure things out. I kind of envy you cuz astrology gives you a headstart and advantage. Accounting seems really stable, I agree; oddly enough most of the accountants I know are family men, really dedicated to their families. And they are all fire signs (like your Aries SN.) Well..good luck! IP: Logged |

Thank you!!! And don't envy me haha, at least you seem to already have your NN figured out ^__^ I'm glad to hear that the accountants you know have a family life, good to know that there's a work/life balance! IP: Logged |

I don't like my home life, so I'm saving up to move oit and make my own type of home. It's the only thing on my mind. IP: Logged |

I can definitely agree with making your own sense of home.

i have sun in capricorn 4th house and cancer moon in 10th house.i disagree with the general description of the 4th house being homebodies, at least not in my case. ive been living in various places and usually not more than 5 years in a place in my country of residence. in fact, i do not like to stay indoors for too long. i think it has more to do with the body as a house, such as the need to withdraw, it just mean that i need private time in order to balance out my emotions, thoughts, feelings etc and refine it but not necessarily between four walls. it has more to do with the four walls in the body of man. You know... the first wall is the coarse or physical body. the second, the body of feelings. the third, the body of the understanding and the fourth is the body of awareness. its important for me to be present in my inner self. Thank you for this! I have Sun in Capricorn, 4th house, Mars in Cancer, 10th house. It's funny the signs sit in the opposites' houses. IP: Logged |
