Usually the partner will have the qualities of the sign located on your 7th house cusp, this is what I have heard, I am not sure if it right or not.IP: Logged |

^^. In my case, it apparently works. My DSC 7th House cusp is Virgo. My wife is a Leo Sun close to the DSC with four planets in Virgo. My wife's DSC is Capricorn. I'm a Capricorn Sun, Mars and Mercury. We're having our 20th anniversary soon. IP: Logged |

Well as long as you know your birth time, generally you will always have one DSC. Anywho, the DSC can show traits that we are drawn in in a partner, but I do not think that everybody marries or is even attracted to a Sun sign that is the same as their DSC sign.Using myself as an example, my DSC is Gemini. I'm a female. I generally am not romantically attracted to Gemini Sun men. Physically, yes, but I find they are not stable enough for my tastes. I am heavily fixed with a Taurus Mars and Leo Sun. Sun and Mars gives an idea of what a woman likes, Moon and Venus for an ideal woman for a straight man. However, Gemini is an air sign, I love air qualities, intellectual and idea people. Air complements my abundant fire.
So you have to consider lots of things when it comes to compatibility with other people. And you're onto something, it starts in the natal before anything. IP: Logged |

Hi lovechocolate!  Glad you're here!My Descendant (7th) is like Lazyscarecrow, in Gemini. My Sun is Gemini, but I've never been 'serious' with a SunGem guy... just enjoyed working with them. My Venus and Moon are in EARTH signs, VenusTaurus MoonVirgo. I've married (and divorced) one VirgoSun-VirgoMoon and one Capricorn. Those marriages were a very very very long time ago now! (Maybe some day...  (BTW... Congratualations YTA on 20years... hurray!) My Mars is in WATER, and conjunct Mercury in Gemini AIR. I tawk and communicate-- a lot!!!  I get very passionate and playful discussing social issues like a statesman or a speechwriter, but I'm also a whole lot of fun to be around! I like guys who can share talking times with me, in a variety of subjects. Teaching and Learning from each other. Talk and listening, taking turns. And they absolutely must have a well-developed sense of humor, too. And a whole lot of patience!
About your chart 'with two different ascendants/descendants'? The natal chart (based on the "Latitude" and Longitude of where you were born) is key.
The Asc/Desc can change depending on the LATITUDE where you "live"-- perhaps one of the charts you got is based on where you live now, instead? Also some astrologers just use "whole" signs, or an Aries 0-degree Ascendant... but those charts are pretty "generic"... Also different if they're using the Eq Asc [Equatorial Ascendant]... My Tropical, Geocentric ascendant is 11-12 degrees Sagittarius, but my Equatorial ascendant is 2-3 degrees Capricorn! oh yeah... did I mention that I was 'detail' oriented but still can keep making a lot of careless-type mistakes!...even though I care a LOT! I checked astro.com and it showed that my DC is Taurus.
I know more guys and girls like Saggitarius, Libra, Gemini.
I guess I more air person because my sun, venus, mercury is in libra. My asc is scorpio, but I like to communicate, socialaze with people. IP: Logged |

Libra is associated with beauty, and fairness, and sharing... your Sun identifies with that, your Venus values having a wide variety of friends, and your Mercury wants to share all about it? With ScorpAsc, TaurusDesc you would expect loyalty, and want to feel secure about it... Just know that if a person you're with has impressive "looks" and acts like they have a lot of money, it doesn't always mean they that they DO... so be careful not to be deceived by that... but then with your Scorpio Rising, you probably most times can really see right through that!
