Anonymous: Ugh. Being a typical Scorpio, I'm bored of my own blog..lmao how do you manage to figure out the difference between your Virgo moon and Scorpio sun?

-

I believe that Scorpios and Virgos are very much alike. Three of my first-cousins are Virgos and we’re really close, their mere presence gives me a righteous feeling.

I remember reading somewhere that Scorpio and Virgo was once the same sign. A legend has it, that when Libra came down from the heavens, “he” split up the two. Virgo took half of the traits and Scorpio took the other half. Virgo is the virgin, the light, purity, and etc. Scorpio is the most sexual, the darkest, spawn of “Lord of the Underworld,” and etc. Virgo has a grounded aspect, whereas Scorpio has an emotional aspect.

Anyway, all I know is that the combination of my Scorpio sun and Virgo moon blends the emotional forces, powers of will and determination of Scorpio, with the intellectuality, discrimination, and critical analysis of Virgo.

Also, their glyph (symbol) are quite similar too, so.

I'm a Virgo Sun and Scorpio Asc.. I've always thought about how their glyphs are so similar and how the traits of the signs are also very similar. All my closest friends have been Scorpios and most of my Scorpio friends are very close to other Virgos. I feel like the two signs have some kind of force that draws them together like long lost twins. I've also noticed we have soft spots for each other. Its very interesting.
Thanks for sharing

i honestly dont think virgo and scorpios are alike...
i hear people stating virgo and scorpios are alike, or caps and scorpios are alike...maybe it is more the fact that water and earthy signs resemble each other far more than let's say...scorpios and leo, or saggie.
yes, there is that myth and the similarity of the glyphs....but, maybe im a bizarre one, i dont think the two signs are that similar.

Tee hee virgolotus

I usually get along with, and used to be very attracted to, Virgos (but then again, Virgo is my 5th house).

However I'll have to agree with hikoro here, I don't think they're that similar, *even though* they do share some characteristics. I don't think they were one constellation, but I admit that the fact their glyphs are almost the same is.. weird? Oh I read once that when Scorpios are very insecure, they are kinda like Virgos (negetively expressed): they can become critical, cynical, picky and masochistic. Buuut apart from that, Virgo is waaaay more grounded than Scorp, and can usually rely on their reason more than Scorps do, cause the latter often get carried away by their emotions and act on impulse.

I've read that having a Scorpio Sun and a Virgo Moon is not very good cause the Scorp Sun wants to dominate and exert control while the Virgo Moon expresses itself as a "servant", meek and humble personality which in turn frustrates the Plutonian energy and can create inner conflict.

Not sure if this applies to everyone with this combo but it does ring a bell for me.

virgo and scorpio are both represented by m signifying masculine energy.
I attract scorpios by the dozens and no scorpio is only my pluto among planets and not the desc, fifth, eight, asc house.
Virgo is supposed to be more compatible with cap and taurus than water signs. But hardly do I get attention from people other than taureans and scorpions. Even then taurus are few compared to scorpios and only get along professionally.
Picturize this:
The two persons sitting in front of me and behind me and the person with me were always scorpios both in high school and college. Most of my best friends are/ were scorpios.
Almost always nine out of ten people who are nice to me are scorpios. I get a strong attraction towards scorpio female celebrities.
Antony-cleopatra, antoine lavoisier and his wife, marie antoinette and her husband signified loyalty until death. Guess what? they were all virgo-scorpio couples.
What about libra?
I also feel a strong attractions for libran and cancerian women. But my mars is in libra and desc in cancer.

"The symbols for Virgo and Scorpio are remarkably similar, since they are both created from an identical 'm' - an ancient medical symbol. Both Virgo and Scorpio are associated with medicine and healing. The two constellations of Virgo and Scorpio are extremely large and easily identifiable in the night sky. The enclosed shape in the symbol for Virgo and the 'sting' in the scorpion's tale have been described as the feminine and masculine versions of the same symbol."
