I'd like to know more about what effect Pluto has on someone's natal chart. What about Pluto in Scorpio? What about Pluto in the 4th house?

Pluto in scorpio has a generational effect rather than individual effect if pluto is not strong in the chart.Does it conjunct your IC?what aspects does it make in your chart?Pluto is very powerful,if pluto wants to bring change in your life then it will bring it anyhow.4th house is related to home, psychological foundation, subconscious, protection, security, etc. You may face crisis in those areas and also have the ability to go through changes in those areas.

I always scorn Pluto and think of it as a tortoise.

I've read that pretty much the motto of Pluto is "out with the old and in with the new."

Whether or not it's an immediate change that Pluto brings about is disputed because it's a very very slow planet.

Pluto in Scorpio for us young people pretty much defines emotional intensity, as is Scorpio, very intense.

I wouldn't take my word for what I've said, however, I've only learnt what I know about astrology in the past year or so, so correct me if I'm wrong

Pluto's sign is a generational thing. For example, I'm near the end of Pluto in Scorpio.

It's much more important to see what house it's in and what aspects it makes to other planets, especially personal planets.

I've seen the Pluto in Scorpio generation described (by people who are clearly either Pluto Libra or Virgo!) as the "hoodlum" type. Rebellious teenager is what they're trying to say, since the Pluto Scorp generation has just reached the end of it's teenage years and most are in their twenties.

Pluto in Scorpio should stereotypically be more interested in sex, probably more cynical, possibly less inclined to believe in a traditional religion, many are more aware of current events particularly wars and death, and can be harder to lie to. Darker and edgier. (Remember the goth, emo, and scene movements?) Secrets being exposed. Themes of transformation.

In the 4th house, most of the Pluto and Scorpio themes would be occurring in relation to the home. Maybe a very tumultuous childhood or home life, involving a lot of frequent change or a fear of change. Maybe secretive parents or, on a less depressing note, one might have been a psychologist or investigative journalist! Possibly the death of a mother? If we go all the way with the "death" and "secrets" themes, it could indicate an orphan who doesn't know their true parentage.

It's much more helpful to look at the aspects that Pluto makes to make sense of it, honestly. I have a crazy strong Pluto that aspects almost everything in my chart, so I can testify that it's not too difficult to find information about it. =)

i remember someone saying pluto on ic is stronger than pluto conj asc coz it as i suppose more rooted compared to a pluto conj asc that just wanted to "appear" powerful.

idk... myself being a pluto conj asc. i suppose pluto wrecks havoc until you learn to control it. i got to the point where i could but realized i don't like controlling mine so i let it ride free.

I've always seen Pluto as something that you kind of need to just accept and move on. It's not something you can control. "Let it ride free" is a great way of putting it!
