My H4 in Gem, Mercury in Leo in H6
My H5 in Cancer, Moon in Leo in H6
My H6 in Leo, Sun in Leo in H6
my H7 in Virgo, Merc in Leo in H6
(sun,moon,merc all conjunct in h6)

I have recently met two men with Cancer placements (in my H5) and I havent really like them..

Guy 1
Cancer = Sun,Saturn, Mercury.
Virgo = Venus
Taur= Mars
Moon= Libra in my H7 (degree depends)
Merc conjunct my Venus in H4
His Sun/Saturn in my H5

I felt really comfortable talking to him.. I did like him... But nothing at all happen...
He really wasnt my type... He turned out to be really flaky.

His Taur Mars (square) was the ONLY aspect to my Leo..

I think he only wanted sex... When I said no, he never called me again... Ohh well... Im not sweating it... I dint have hurt feelings over it either...
He's super flaky....

Guy 2
Sun in Leo in my H6
Mars in Virgo my H6
Saturn/Venus/Merc in my H5
His sun is not conjunct my Leo..
Moon in Cap (maybe)
His merc on my SN
Only his Jupiter quinx my Leo set up

This guy ANNOYED the heck out of me.. I found him to be rude, and just IDK... he really repulsed me...
I think he's a nice guy in general.. Its just IDK what it was, something about him I didnt like AT all.... Euhhhhhh

Now both of these guys has planets in my H5.. (which also includes Saturn for both)
But no romance, I really had no interest romantically with either..

So neither of these guys really hit the rulers of these houses (which is ALSO my personal planets)

So (at least for me) The rulers are more important than the actually houses...

Just being in my "romance" house isnt enough...
Or could that just be their Saturn in my H5?

Like I said he was a "nice" guy I did try to get to know him... I went out with him 4x.. But he started to give me the creeps and I had to disconnect all contact...
Euhhh....

Whats weird is someone with Cancer placements will most likely not really aspect my Leo...

So Im Messed up here huh!

One thing that I've noticed about the 5th, 7th, and 8th houses attraction theory, is that different people ‘latch’ onto certain parts of their attraction pattern more then other parts… Meaning, some people are more attracted to the sign of the cusp ruler, then the then the sign on the cusp itself. Some people are more attracted to a planet in the house in question (Like, having Venus in the 7th and liking Libra/Taurus energy). While others really do find the actual sign on the cusp more attractive.

For whatever reason, perhaps it relates to childhood experiences, or the way the rest of our chart is set up, different people 'prioritize' different parts of their love houses in terms of attraction. And sometimes the part that you're most attracted to changes over your lifespan, depending on your experience. Which part you 'prioritize' also varies from house to house (between the 5th, 7th, and 8th houses). Ceri has mentioned in a few of her posts that she thinks it has to do with how the cusp sign, or ruler, fits in with the rest of your chart.

I feel ya Lioness. I’ve totally noticed the same thing in my chart. The way I’m attracted to the sign on the cusp vs. the sign of the cusp ruler, is different for each of my 5th, 7th, and 8th houses.

I've got Aries on the 5th house cusp ruled by Mars in Leo. For some reason I'm just more attracted to Aries men then Leo men. Although I do find Leo energy attractive in a way, the attraction to Aries is stronger. I seem to have prioritized the sign on my 5th house cusp over it's ruler, in this case.

My 7th house is different yet again. I've got a Gemini Dsc ruled by Mercury in Sagittarius, plus Jupiter in the 7th house. I can find Gemini energy attractive, but usually I'm overwhelmingly more attracted to Sagittarius. The Sag part of my 7th house outweighs the Gemini part. And for the most part, I’ve prioritized the sign of my Dsc ruler, and my Jupiter in the 7th house, over my Gemini Dsc. A guy having a strong Mercury in his chart, or strong Mercury synastry with me, is very attractive though.

My 8th house is Cancer ruled by the Moon also in Cancer in the 8th house. 8th house ruler in the 8th. I really do seem to have a thing for Cancer and Scorpio by Moon sign, although usually not by Sun signs. I seem to prefer masculine Sun signs, especially Aries and Sagittarius, with water Moons.

I'll admit I'm not entirely sure why people prioritize different parts of their relationship houses. I just know that it happens. If two people both had Taurus on the Dsc ruled by Venus in Sagittarius, one could lean more towards liking Taurus, while the other could learn more towards liking Sagittarius. And yet a third person, with the exact same configuration, could go for both signs pretty much equally. It varies with each person. Each of the 5th, 7th, and 8th houses will attract us in some way though. We may just prioritize different parts of each of these houses in terms of what we're attracted to.

Also, different houses will refer to different parts of our partner's chart.

In my case my 8th house usually relates to his Moon sign, and his Sun sign will usually relate to either my 5th, or 7th house. I seem to have a major weakness for Aries and Sagittarius Suns with water Moons. This fits in really well with my pattern. But if a different person (with a different soul) was born with my same exact chart, maybe they would prefer Leo and Gemini to Aries and Sag? After all, both Gemini and Leo are part of my pattern too.

Us humans can be pretty biased creatures.

Maybe I like Aries and Sag, a little more then Gemini and Leo, because I have a stellium of Sagittarius planets, with my Cap Sun, and Sag Venus in the 1st house (the Aries house). If we go with the theory that how you prioritize your attraction pattern has to do with the rest of your chart.

Or if it’s childhood experiences, maybe it has to do with the fact that my Dad was an Aries, with Moon trine Jupiter. He also has Gemini rising though.

Oh, and there is one more really important tip I want to mention. It’s not just about planets being in your relationship houses, but also how the aspect the rest of your chart from that relationship house.

For example, I love Aries in general. But… if a person puts planets in Aries in my 5th house, and they don’t make any significant aspects to the rest of my chart with those Aries planets, they may fail to ‘spark’ me off. If those Aries planets are sitting in the ‘middle of nowhere’ aspect wise, I probably won’t react much to that person despite my self-proclaimed love of Aries. Aspects are energy transfer between people. No aspects mean no energy transfer! With no aspects, regardless of what house a planet falls in, we can’t really ‘feel’ that person as having a significant influence on us.

On the other hand, if someone has planets in Aries trining my Sagittarius stellium, or even squaring my Capricorn Sun, or Cancer Moon (Squares can be harsh, but at least there is energy to work with here), the result can be passionate FIREWORKS! I mean these folks can FLOOR me.

So instead of saying that I love Aries, maybe it would be better to say that I love CERTAIN DEGREES of Aries, when planets in this sign are in to aspect my chart. Same with the planets in Sag that I also claim to love. They’ll only standout to me if they actually aspect my chart by degree (with Sag, there’s more opportunity to do this, because I’ve got a lot of planets in that sign). And although I usually prefer Aries and Sag to Leo and Gem (I DO like them! just not as much), when planets in Leo and Gem aspect my chart from CERTAIN DEGREES the can really turn my head as well.

Strong synastry, with lots of close interaspects, is crucial for a full attraction to develop.

Lioness, this might be what’s happening here as well for you. Do those Cancer planets make strong aspects to the rest of your chart from you’re 5th house? Because, if these Cancer planets are just sitting in your 5th house but not aspecting any of your planets, that is a possible reason for why you are not ‘feeling’ these guys very much. If you do have any planets in Cancer, were these men aspecting those planets? On the other hand, you have a stellium in Leo so there is much more opportunity for a guy with planets in Leo to aspect your chart, especially your 5th and 7th house rulers.

I don’t think these guys having Saturn in your 5th house will block attraction, especially if they also have other personal planets also in your 5th house. I suspect it’s more a case of the synastry with these guys not fitting your chart very well.

I’ll give a quick overview of how aspects can generate chemistry with regard to the 5th,7th, and 8th houses.

Strong chemistry is generated when a person puts planets in your 5th, 7th, and 8th houses, AND these planets make TIGHT aspects to other parts of your chart. (best if the orb is 3 degrees or less)

Weak chemistry is generated when a person puts planets in your 5th, 7th, and 8th houses, AND these planets make no, or very wide, aspects to other parts of your chart.

Strong chemistry is generated when a person has planets in the same sign as your 5th, 7th, and 8th house cusp rulers, AND these planets make TIGHT aspects to other parts of your chart.

Weak chemistry is generated when a person has planets in the same sign as your 5th, 7th, and 8th house cusp rulers, AND these planets make no, or very wide, aspects to other parts of your chart.

And finally…

Strong chemistry is generated when a person has planets TIGHTLY aspecting the rulers of the 5th, 7th, and 8th houses, REGARDLESS of what sign that planet is in. The fact that there is an aspect is key (Although, hard aspects can be much more painful, and troublesome then the soft ones, which show harmony.

I guess my point is that, although the 5th, 7th, and 8th houses do show what we’re attracted to, if we don’t have strong synastry with a person, they could have all the ‘right’ signs in their chart and still not attract us that much.

But… If they have all the ‘right’ signs in their chart, AND they also make strong aspects to our chart from planets located in these ‘right’ signs... In these cases, we can be extremely attracted.

With my H5 being in Cancer and me having 1 planet in cancer and 4 planets in Leo not many people will aspect both, since they are so close together.... Me and LEO men are a big no I have a weakness for Pisces Sun/ Moon..
Probably because Pisces is my H1..
