So let me phrase this correctly....What does it matter which house Venus is placed in? Mine is in the 3d house, what difference does that make if it was in the 2nd or 1st for example? (or all other houses)

The placement of the house matters cause it's where the Venus will be affected. For example, mine is in 11th house, Venus will play a role in social groups. 3rd house.. Uhh not sure, but it has to do with your way of communicating.(3rd house of communication) IP: Logged |

Yes the house placement is significant. The placement would add an emphasis on the way your express your Venus sign within your personal aesthetic, the things you find beautiful, and the people you would attract and be attracted to.With your 3rd house placement, your Venus would emphasize on a person's use of language, you may be attracted to accents, very articulate people, and people that stimuli your senses. Oh that is cool, so Venus basically beautifies the sense of communication. I imagine this would be emphasized more if there is a venus mercury conjunction in the natal chart.
What would indicate what kind of partner's one attracts? Venus placement would have nothing to do with this then right? Probably the sign on the 7th house cusp (or 5th house?)

Yeah you can be attracted to people with venus in signs that are comptable to yours.
for example you can be attracted to people with venus in the same signs as your marsIP: Logged |

You mean to say you attract people that do not interest you?
This happens to a lot of people, venus actually shows your romance style and qualities that make you attractive to others. You may not necessarily attract people you like.
Venus draws people in and mars shows your action.Moon actually shows what you what look for in a partner. I hope I'm not confusing there is no black and white all these planets are involved, moon venus and mars and even mercury. Its really a gray, there is no exact answer. If you post your chart maybe we can see the reason.

Possibly but I've never really heard of that before, I know certain placements can attract abusive or non reputable partners, but you can be attracted to those people too.. It depends on synastry if you like someone or not. IP: Logged |

This is true. Case closed. I was just thinking about soulmates and all of that (whether you believe in it or not) and who you are sort of "fated" to be with. Like who you would attract as a marriage partner. That is why I was trying to figure out if there is any chance that it is by Venus sign or whatever.

His venus and mercury are in my 12th house. What you said is very accurate. His venus and mecury are in cancer conjunct my north node in cancer.
He has had serious relationships all his life but said its not easy for him to blurt out how he feels. He said he just cant. (Mother issues) He told me he was in love with me 2 months ago. But it was so hard for him. He struggled alot lol! He kept stuttering. He said dont expect me to say it again. Although he doesnt always verbalize his feelings he does show me everday. Hugs, kisses, cuddles. And he is pretty jealous when another man is near me. I can tell hes a very sensitive soul. I prefer action anyways. We are both geminis. My mercury is in gemini too. pffft I don't fully relate to my venus in leo. I read somewhere, venus in leo likes to brag about their relationships. I don't relate to THAT part of being a leo sun,merc,and venus. I don't like to talk about myself, am very personal, almost secretive when it comes to my personal life. I have a few leo friends all females, they are all like me. But leo guys...well that's a different story. I know someone we went out a few times, just for drinks and he bored me to tears with all his stories that was full of himself, yep he was a leo sun and mercury, although I enjoyed his sense of humor.IP: Logged |

From what I have seen, Venus shows what we fancy from an aesthetic point of view. Be it fashion, art, one's looks etc and it applies to both genders.Now, I guess the house placement is some sort of filter? IP: Logged |
