My moon is in Libra, My sun is in Sagittarius, and I might be either a third decan gemini rising or a first decan cancer rising.

my mom told me the time of birth was around 5-7pm, which is around the time the rising sign shift. I really want to be gemini rising, and i think i am, but I am not so sure.

When I read the description of how both act, I tend to lean towards gemini, as i am wiry, restless, and always wanting to make new friends. I have more gemini tell me i'm attractive than cancer have too, indicating that my rising is in air due to having many air signs around me.

my physique is built weird though.when i was young, i was extremely heavy, i think i blame that on hearty appitite, but my chest is prominent, shoulders broad, and chubby hands and feet, indicating cancer. but now I am alot more lean, still chubby hands and feet and all, but i look like i'm a child and i'm 20 years old! screams gemini to me.

other things that show i have cancer rising is that i'm usually around capricorn, because of my "excellent rapport" according to some astrology sites. In my whole life, though. I have always feel better with fire and air signs around, not having to worry about upsetting them, and all. most people in my life have been mutable signs, which according to astrology, is because my rising is mutable (gemini). my association with relationship though have mostly been with earth signs. and one aquarius haha.

I am thinking if I am a cancer rising, since my moon is in libra, that it'll have any effects on it??? i'm not so sure. I've never been called motherly or homey or anything cancerish, but rather have people tell me before they get to know me, that i look two faced, fake, too friendly, too calm, too robotic, too wired. I would think that's gemini rising speaking. Any opinion or suggestion would be so much helpful.

One would make a gentle, caring person who is good at relating to others. Assertive too, and very cheerful.
The other is a friendly but reckless person. Maybe a little hyper but also active, strongly independent, and doesn't like being too close to people.

The Ascendant question is an arduous and frustrating one indeed; especially for those of us who have birth times that are unknown or are born at times when the Ascendant is said to change signs. Yikes!!

Have you tried the equal house system? Coz if you think you have your Ascendant in Cancer, it puts your Moon in the 10th house; giving your Moon a Saturnine/Capricorn quality.

So, when the Moon is here, there is a serious tone about your inner personality; a love of work and a way of perceiving the world in a strongly rational/systematic manner.

If you have a Gemini Ascendant, as you so vehemently believe, the Moon would be in the 9th house; giving you more Jupiter/Sag qualities to the Moon.

With this Moon, there is a love of travelling and a heightened interest in intellectual pursuits.

You may have a perception/experience the world in a largely philosophical point of view or live by some grand belief that you will NOT deviate from.

The love of interacting with people is heightened in the latter, rather than the former.
