Hey everyone.

Are there placements or aspects in a chart that show someone who feels invisible to others? Being overlooked or just forgotten about, the type who doesn't get credit for their work, etc. Someone who has to put in a lot of effort for people to pay attention to them.

Do any of you have any experience with this or know someone with this problem? I'd really like some input and to hear how you deal with it. It's been a major theme in my life and I was hoping it'd be a good topic for discussion.

I think making people invisible is the job of neptune and harsh saturn aspects could be responsible for not getting credit.

Possibly transits of your personal planets in 12th house.

Yeah, I can relate to a large extent. My Aqua sun, moon, and mercury are in the 12th (with Aqua on the 12th cusp), Pisces rising and Neptune sextiles my moon and mercury. It took some time, but eventually I would get credit for work I did. I'd feel like a fifth wheel (lol, or whatever the expression is). People would laugh and say "You're not a wheel." I'd say, "I feel like an extra wheel." So, yeah, I know what it's like to feel invisible.

I *feel* invisible easily.

But I kind of compensate for that perceived feeling and act loud/active/chatty (Gemini rising).

If I keep quiet, no one pays attention to me and I don't like it = Moon in 5th.

I don't have a prominent Neptune..but my Saturn is heavily aspected and I have no Fire.

Actually in the relocation chart, I have Neptune and Uranus in the 1st but I'm not sure how important a relocation chart is in comparison to the natal.

But I'd say Pisces/Neptune and Capricorn/Saturn influences are very "quiet" and can easily go unnoticed.

Wow, I love the replies so far. Thank you! Thanks for the welcome as well.

I actually have some harsh Saturn and Neptune aspects. They're conjunct the IC and square my Ascendant pretty tightly. You're all on to something.

Wouldn't have thought of Saturn transiting through the 12th, but you're right, that must feel so lonely and isolated. Saturn transited and retrograded through my 1st house the last time I was extremely depressed. It was pretty much me breaking down after a more than half a year of working so hard on something I cared a lot about and nobody even seemed to notice my efforts. Venus went through my 12th as well (I have this in my natal chart too, plus Mercury).

Moon in the 12th? Can't even imagine what that's like. Sorry you feel so bad easily. Maybe 12th house planets give you the feeling of being a burden to others.

Same with a Sun-Saturn-Mercury-neptune conjunction. Have you all found a way to get around these difficult placements?

So I guess any acknowledgement will be very delayed because of Saturn...

If you meant that for me, no, I don't feel like a burden. More like I'm not wanted around. Unacknowledged.

Ah, sorry. I know the feeling about feeling unwelcome, though.

I guess Chiron plays a part, because it's your wound and all. I have it squaring my Ascendant and yeah, I'm really sensitive about how I'm seen.

So, any placements that say something about your attitude towards attention/recognition? Some people like going unnoticed more than others.

People who would like recognition probably have a luminary(Sun/Moon) in the 10th or a many planets in the 10th.

Feel this way all the time, like I can walk around and have no one see me, I have three planets in 12th and think its definitely the cause. When I was younger I would dress real crazy just to get people to notice me, it got out of hand when I decided to wear tap shoes everywhere I went lol. If they didnt see me they most likely heard me walking.

Haha, that's very much like me as a child/teenager! I, too, would wear weird clothes. Crazy bright colours that didn't match at all or cut my hair all unsymmetically just to get attention and be seen as daring. But it didn't get me any attention, so I stopped doing it (obviously!).

People always say they can hear my high heels but nothing else. Did they give you a hard time with those tap shoes? The noise.

I've had friends lock me in because I'd gone back to get something and they'd just... forgotten about me. :| Not a nice feeling.

Ohh, of course! No planets there, though. Wait, I do have my Chiron in the 10th (conjunct MC). Would aspects count as well? I have the Moon in opposition to my MC (and Saturn).

So no luminaries in the 10th would make it harder to get that recognition, because you'd probably have other priorities in your career?

No, career astrology isn't that black and white. There's always the 6th house for daily routines and work and the asc/1st house and even the North Node that points towards your purpose in life. There are 12 houses and only 9 planets not counting pluto.

That's so untrue - here's a list of major figures with Sun in 12'th house:

Mahatma Gandhi - a spiritual leader, a humanitarian - hist thoughts, his voice, his actions were heard all over the world - and even after death, his wisdom is still being spreader among younger generations.

Joseph Stalin, George W. Bush, Saddam Hussein, Mao Zedong, Hulk Hogan - i guess they don't need any introduction.

Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Cash - major icons in the music industry

Immanuel Kant - "I have no knowledge of myself as I am, but merely as I appear to myself."

Anthony Hopkins (maybe not so major - but he's one of my favorite actors)

...and the list could go on: http://www.astrotheme.com/celebrities/sun/m12/1.htm .

And no, you don't have to be that great. Personalty, I know 3 people with Sun in 12 and as one with NN in House 12 - i can relate with that... it's not that they lack an audience (one of them is an astrologer... the other a meaningful friend) - but cause of the 12 house - they bare that alien feeling (i can relate with this feeling as well) - as if they're not part of humanity like the rest.

Oh, I agree it's not the only thing that determines the career.

Sun in the 12th... probably gets hidden. I guess any personal planets in the 12th will be very hard to express like you want to.

Oh and Jimi Hendrix and Johnny Cash? No, they certainly weren't invisible.

Regarding invisibility, natal chart is one thing, another one are transits.
I have natal Sun in the 1st house and Moon in the 10th, both conjunct the angles. I had periods in my life when I was super visible and recognised, mostly for my hard work and achievements. But I also went through periods when I was feeling invisible and not appreciated, even for the hard work.
Ever since Neptune entered Pisces and my 7th house and started making hard transits to my personal planets, including opposition to natal Sun and square to natal Moon, I struggled with being overlooked, unnoticed and unappreciated, both in my personal and professional life. Even when I saw old friends on the street, they never saw me, even if I saw them. It's not that they did see me and pretended they didn't, it's just as if I was invisible. It has happened many times in the last years and barely happened ever before.

I'm a teacher, I wish I was invisible. LOL

I have barely been single in almost a decade. I certainly have not been single this long since my early 20's. Wanted attention is cool. But the unwanted attention has me ghosting, or telling them to stop being so obsessed with me.

Like if I post anything on FB I'll get a few toads that will message me. It's like can you just like my post? I don't need an effing message from you because I posted or commented on someone else's FB.

I also moved back in with my parents. I thoroughly enjoy being in a space with no one else around.

I have Scorpio moon conjunct Pluto so people can be pretty obsessed with me. Love, hate, friendship, family, lust.

But I have Mercury 12th house. But then I also have Leo in my chart so I'm pretty pay attention to me don't pay attention to me.
