Possibly, part of the influence of Pluto, Saturn and even mars aspecting your personal planets makes your personal energy more opposed to authority/people controlling you. So yes I can see the possibly of attracting people that want to control you. IP: Logged |

I blame it on my Scorpion planets =x My Mars-Pluto is benign... but others tend to take the traits they've sort of endowed me with as being a challenge... and so they want to restrict and control them... both the casual acquaintance and romantic partners do this... it's never bothered me... I find I'm just as attracted to these types as they seem to be to me... lol *complicated* then, having Eros-Saturn conjunct in Scorpio, I always attract/become attracted to older/mature individuals... but their controlling ways are, again, what I enjoy... I like these things mostly, looking at it astrologically, because that's my sun's ruler... the order and structure they can give outweighs any negative in my eyes... EXCEPT for the manipulative AND controlling types... who I can do without... I don't think I'm controlling or demanding of others... I do have a need for these things around me, and there are times that I really want to (it sounds really bad/negative, but it isn't meant that way) "correct" someone in their methods... it's not that I want/need control over them or their actions though, I just want to improve function and order... it's purely Capricornian in this context, I believe... very pro-Saturn. controlling individuals probably place in that spectrum, Plutonians and Saturnians... maybe not by dominance but by aspect... perhaps like ail has said, combinations to sun, mars, and moon... and probably a number of strong asteroids/a Lilith, even. Wow, I didn't realize it but I'm the same way! Big on "correction" and I constantly have to hold my tongue and let it go because people are going to be who they are. I have Sun, Merc, and Venus square Saturn. Saturn conj. Neptune, Moon trine Saturn and Saturn in the 7th house. My Mars is inconj. Pluto and Moon opp. Pluto too. Pluto in the 5th house. Sun/M/V and Moon in the 11th. So a lot of my aspects and placements somehow point to attracting controlling individuals, however I think you're right. I am very opposed to being controlled and this probably brings out that kind of nature in them even more. I refuse to submit! IP: Logged |

Oh boy. People LOVE to control me. My actions, what comes out of my mouth. My thought process, everything. When i say people, I mean everyone from strangers to my own mom. For example, in high school total strangers would come see me working on a project or something to that effect and just lash out at me. "YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO DO IT LIKE THAT!" then proceed to push me out of the way to do it the so-called right way. My mom is the same way. "Why don't you do it like this?" ""No, not like this, like THIS." And everything is because she said so. I see my mom as being very authoritarian. I have scorpio moon and pluto in scorpio in my 8th house. 8th house is Scorpio. Pluto is trine my sun, trine mercury and square the ascendant. Also, i have my DSC in virgo, and 11th house in capricorn so I tend to attract people who are all about the status-quo in my opinion. I often-times experience situations where if i have an opinion, someone will jump down my throat and say "Don't say that! Why would you say that?" or "Shut up, that's stupid!" My mind feels a little foggy right now. I hope someone can get the gist of what I'm trying to say.IP: Logged |

My DSC is in Sag! Doesn't make sense. Scorpio rules my 6th house, then again the 6th house I read somewhere on here deals with things that are day to day. I have Capricorn ruling my 8th and Saturn in my 7th. IP: Logged |

Sagittarius, yeah, don't think so. :P Does your Jupiter have any harsh aspects? I saw that Saturn had one, including some personal planets ail221 said, so it could be a reason. Ruler of the 8th in the 7th/Capricorn-Scorpio. Do you have any planets in the first house or conjunct your Ascendant? That'd be how people see you, so maybe the controlling types feel all competitive. IP: Logged |

Jupiter is square my Midheaven I believe, and Mars (12H) is conjunct my ASC.

You know what's more tho? You pick up on that aspect of them, that they'd rather keep hidden. So part of that control is in trying to shut you up. Cos they feel threatened by you. ---What about having an agenda for what you want to accomplish and sticking to it, in whatever situation (looking at the big pic)? That's what helped me. Once I knew for certain my aims that BS stopped and I was in control. But there's a certain freedom you lose with it also, so it's possible that that thinking isn't very geared to those that are very young, or those who desire to be more uninhibited in their approach to life vs the older, generally. But it depends on the person. As I got older it became easier to balance the two and to switch on off as needed but it's def a skill I stumbled on / had to fig out for myself. Maybe it'd work for you? #leoascfreeadvice

---Yea I do. It's about repeating past patterns from your childhood. You're attracting these people that mirror your mom/authority figures because you molded to that experience pattern and now your body language/vocab, how you carry yourself everything is geared toward this type. I wanna say it's your square to Asc more than anything for the issue of bullying or feeling bullied. Then Virgo can be pretty nitpick-y. IP: Logged |

Then I think Mars is one of the reasons, because it conjuncts it from the 12th. You may not really be aware of it - it's unconscious.

I'm laughing because I have pretty much every indicator for attracting controlling types:Scorpio DSC
Scorpio Venus conjunct DSC
Scorpio Jupiter/Mercury/Pluto conjunct in 7H
Scorpio stellium conjunct Sagittarius Sun on the 8H cusp
Scorpio Pluto stellium square Mars + Scorpio Pluto stellium widely square Saturn + Saturn widely opposite Mars = Wide Mars-Pluto/Jupiter/Mercury-Saturn T-square
Saturn square Sun exact
Black Moon Lilith in the 1H According to Pullen, Pluto is the strongest in my chart, followed by Saturn. Unfortunately, my Sag Sun doesn't jive well with the controlling types. IP: Logged |
