I know this relates to the idea of interception when using the Placidus system, however, I use the equal housing system. I have several houses that are ruled by one sign but contain a portion of an adjacent sign. For example, my fifth house is ruled by Virgo but includes the first ten degrees of Libra. I'm wondering how to interpret a planet found in a sign that does not rule the house it belongs to. Again, Jupiter belongs to my Virgo-ruled 5th house but is on Libra's sixth degree. Any opinions?IP: Logged |

This doesn't make sense to me because in equal all the houses are given the same degree as the asc, and the Mc can be placed in a house other than the cusp of the 10th. Maybe it has to do with your location i'm not sure~IP: Logged |

Each house is thirty degrees when using the equal housing system. My ascendant is on the tenth degree of Taurus, therefore the cusp if the second house is on the tenth degree of Gemini and so on. Although the MC is 'traditionally' the cusp of the tenth house, the location varies when using equal houses. My Midheaven is in the ninth house. What I'm wondering is how to interpret a planet located in a sign that does not rule the house it belongs toIP: Logged |
